- On Friday, August 25, 2017 Rockland-bound traffic is shifting to the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge for drivers traveling on the northbound/westbound Thruway. This New NY Bridge project is creating a state-of-the-art, twin-span replacement for the 3.1-mile Tappan Zee Bridge across the Hudson River connecting Westchester and Rockland counties.

As an American/ Italian Andy makes my skin crawl. What gave that fanny slapping, granny killing, book writing, gumba the right to rename the bridge after a man who never stepped foot on a battlefield?

From *1984,* I had heard News Reports about the age and state of disrepair the old Bridge was..... 1984!!!
Speaks volumes about the Speed of Government - especially in Democrat Gripped State like New York. It's OK, right? I mean it ONLY took *34 Years* and a threat from President Obama, to finally get their heads out of their asses, and FINALLY get to work.
And, it's NOT Democrat Citizens. It's shockingly Liberal Democratic elected Officials, that seem to cheat the System, line their pockets, actually commit CRIMES.....
And then bullshit their way through a few Public speeches, and somehow fool enough people to keep getting reelected!!!
There's far worse. Senator Harry Reid, on TV, LIED about several things about John McCain and Governor Mitt Romney. Slanderous things.
He later Proudly stated in a National News Show interview, "Yeah, I said those things and more." The Reporter asked why, and he answered "They didn't get Elected, did they!"
That would be a serious Crime if anyone ELSE did that. HE got Reelected, 8 Months later!!!!
I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this realizes that our "Elected' Officials have become so Corrupt, that they even Voted THEMSELVES Above the Law!!
Only US, in large enough numbers, can ever hope to fix this. And being Honest, it's a big Problem with BOTH Parties!!
I still think it would have been better to just repair the old bridge instead of building a new one and demolishing the former bridge.
