The best part was realizing how to clean the strainer even after I had mixed 30 gallons of chemical. Thank you!
So glad you found the video useful Biffdotorg! Thanks for checking our the Agri Supply channel.
I bough my sprayer a month ago and have had nothing but trouble with the power cord for the pump. Finally got that fixed, turned it on and no pressure to the pump! I almost returned it I was so frustrated. But watched your video and sure enough i just needes to turn that valve on! Super easy and it's working great! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for this very informative video of this Fimco Sprayer. I have a 25 gallon Fimco Sprayer that I've had for 12 years and I was having an issue with keeping my desired pressing while spraying. I noticed I had to flip the power switch to off and wait while and then cut it back on to activate the spray. After watching your video I will go back and troubleshoot what is causing this problem. Thanks again.
Hi there Unoduney, thanks for your comment! Happy to help and glad our video was useful to you. Feel free to reach out anytime to our Customer Care Center if you need any other help with the Fimco sprayer, have a nice day! www.agrisupply.com/contactus.aspx
THANK YOU,
Hi, I worked on my sprayer most of the day yesterday and wasn't able to fix it. I took apart the pump, replace the sprayer heads and the little filters in them and no luck. I looked on line and found your video, you said to remove the hose coming from the bottom of the tank and check the screen filter. First thing this morning i went out to the sprayer and check the screen, it was severely blocked. I took it out and cleaned it and put it back in, IT WORKED GREAT. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, I really appreciate it.
Paul
P.S.,,,,, did i say thank you?
Hi there Paulsscooter,
Very glad to we were able to help you out! That's what we like to hear. Appreciate you taking the time to leave us a comment. Have a great day!
Your video was very helpful I just purchased one ..the 20 gallon and it was a very nice intro to the product hopefully everything goes well
Great video, very informative. I am looking to buy and checking out the sprayers. Thanks
Thanks for watching and glad you found our video useful! Have a great day.
I have been frustrated with this the past few years and figured out the solution. Modify the sprayer to make it a constantly flooded pump so the pump has a gravity feed from the tank and it works! I think Fimco wants to sell check valves and that's why they manufacture them with pumps mounted higher on the tanks
Appreciate your comment Mikethimm660. Thanks for watching!
My issue is the pump works fine but it looses it prime and I have to remove suction tube and fill with garden in pump while pushing in suction line to make it work
Very helpful for my 40 gal. Sprayer, Thank you and stay healthy
Great info. I have this same sprayer, but lately, the pump won't self prime. Advice. Also, is the total system meant to work as a closed system so the tank pressurizes and as such any loose fitting will result in loss of pressure?
Hello Don,
Thanks for reaching out! First, the system is not closed as the tank does not pressurize. Below is a quick list of things to check for on your sprayer. One of these could be the culprit, so we suggest the following:
- Check for any air leaks in the supply line, including the rubber washer by the strainer screen
- Make sure the strainer is clean as even sometimes a film will build over and could be difficult to detect with the eye
- Check for cracks in the pump housing as something could have hit the pump or possibly cracked a bit over the winter
- Make sure the suction outlet area at the bottom of the tank is free of debris
- Check for debris in the check valve assembly by carefully removing the pump head to inspect
- Check for a faulty check valve
If you have any other issues with your sprayer setup, feel free to reach out to our Customer Care Team at 1800-345-0169. We'd be glad to help you troubleshoot things a little more in depth, thanks! Have a great day.
@@AgriSupplyCo Thanks for the info. Want to check valve and head to clean debris but cannot get the diaphragm/cam bearing off the armature. Have 2.1 pump and 3.8 pump. The 2.1 just slides off, but the 3.8 will not move. What am I doing wrong on the 3.8? What's holding it or could it be seized on shaft?
Are all pumps meant for continuous use?
Hi there F150,
Thanks for reaching out! We would say it depends on the type of Fimco pump you are looking at and the application. You can check out our entire selection of ag sprayers here: www.agrisupply.com/ag-lawn-sprayers/c/4200110/
We recommend reading over the user manual first to determine if the sprayer/pump is able to handle continuous use. Let us know if you have any other question, have a great day!
This video helped me out. Thank you
Appreciate the comment! Glad we could help out with your sprayer.
My 3 nozzle boom less boom won't spray out of all 3 sprayer ports at the same time. It will only spray out of two. None of the nozzles are plugged because it's random which two it will spray out of when you turn it on, but all 3 will spray chemical, just not all 3 at the same time. Any thoughts? We've tried a 2.4 and 4.5 gpm motor on it and had the same issue
I'll get a sudden burst of pressure and then it dribbles out. Trigger up again and I get another burst of pressure and a dribble. It is a 15 Gallon unit. Any idea what's going on ? thanks much..
Hi there Marshall! Appreciate you reaching out with your question on the Fimco sprayer. If you don't mind us conversing with our Quality Control Team, we will get back to you shortly with some suggestions for this. Thank You.
Appreciate your patience! The first thing we would recommend is checking the screen in the suction hose to ensure it is clean & not blocked. It sounds like it is getting enough flow to build pressure when not spraying - But as soon as the valve is opened on the wand, there is a burst from the built-up pressure, and then the pump starves for water. If this doesn't fix the problem for you Marshall, please give our team a quick call at 1-800-345-0169. We'd be happy to help troubleshoot with you to figure out what the problem might be with your sprayer. Thanks, have a nice day!
thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching Chuckadavis! 😄
Seems like the older, 10 years ago pumps, are made to last . But now the company wants to make money selling parts. But times have changed with reviews on products. Now The Product can get a Bad name real quick ! 5/02/2022

This
was the best
So glad you enjoyed the sprayer video Mike! Thanks for watching.
My sprayer wont build pressure with the boom line open only builds with both closed
Hello there! Thanks for your comment. With the boom valve completely open it is not going to build full pressure. With the boom on it is going to build at the most about 35 to 40 psi. If it loses all pressure when the boom valve is open, it could be the inlet screen is partially clogged. How to clean that screen is mentioned here in our troubleshooting video. If the screen is NOT clogged it could possibly be a pump issue.
We'd be happy to help you troubleshoot some possible solutions if needed! Feel free to reach out to our Customer Care Team at 800.345.0169 or email us directly at tech@agrisupply.com. Thanks, have a great day.
Ive had nothing but trouble out of mine. It will not build pressure while the boom is running. 😊

@AgriSupplyCo it works perfectly fine now. There was plastic in the pick up tube. Love it!
Very helpful.
Thanks so much! Happy to hear we were able to assist you with your Fimco sprayer. Feel free to reach out anytime if you have any other questions or visit us online at www.agrisupply.com.
Thank you for this video! Have you ever seen a situation where the solution was coming out of the pressure gauge and no pressure was getting to the wand? Is is just the pressure gauge I need to replace? Thank you.
Hi Linda! Thanks for your inquiry. You may need to simply add one wrap of thread tape and retighten the gauge. Although, its not uncommon for a gauge to develop a crack and need to be replaced.
@@budmiller725 thank you very much!
I did these trouble shooting steps and the ones in the manual. My sprayer isn't a year old, what else can be done? Beside trashing this and getting a different brand?
jared rader I had same problem with my fimco boom sprayer. I went and got a northstar 2.2 gpm constant supply pump and it’s works awesome now. The constant pump will cut out at around 180 psi
@@Joerules Was this a bolt on replacement, NO modifications??
Make sure you clean the filter in the tank . Generic roundup is notorious for leaving this thin film and causing you pump to clog up. If you had 180psi on a small wand theres no way you could tell how much chemical your putting out . You would probably be applying 3/4 times what you need .
@@DEDBRD-di4yj I don't have a filter in the tank. I cleaned out my tank as to not have any thing going threw the pump motor. My pump turns on but it doesn't spray.!!
Put my motor back on ( kept in house for the winter), filled it, turned it on, and nothing! Found the 10 amp fuse blown, so i replaced it and ... nothing. Fuse blown again. The 15 amp fuse near batty clamps is good. What now?
Hi there Rjrice - thanks for your question. We are checking on this with our technicians to see if we can get you some answers on the sprayer/fuse issue you're experiencing. In the meantime, feel free to connect with our Customer Care Center at 800.345.0169. They may be able to more quickly get you some tips for troubleshooting this. Appreciate your patience, we will post another response shortly!
I can get the hand sprayer to work but not the nozzle sprayers at the back of the tank. The unit is brand new. Solutions ?
Hi there Doug, thanks for your comment & reaching out to us today! Let me consult with our technicians to see if we can come up with some suggestions for your sprayer issue. Will send you a message back shortly!
Appreciate your patience Doug! Our suggestion would be to #1 Check the boom valve if you haven't already done so. Sounds like you may be having a problem with the manifold not opening properly. #2 You may need to check (if you have a boom-less sprayer setup) that the nozzle body is currently set in the "off" position. We'd be happy to help troubleshoot this with you more Mr. Doug if that doesn't solve your issue. Feel free to reach out directly to our Customer Care team at 1-800-345-0169 or www.agrisupply.com.
I can’t get mine to spray only drip. I replaces the pump, put all new hoses on the boom. I have checked the hoses and seems fine. I don’t have the value system on mine. Won’t build pressure as far as the new meter.
Thanks for reaching out with your question here for the Fimco sprayer. We have forwarded this onto our techs to see if we can get some solutions for you to troubleshoot! In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care Center at 800.345.0169. We will reply back to you here on this comment shortly!
Hello, do you sell the on-off valve for the intake tube ? Mine broke, I need a replacement. Can you help?

Here's a question I didn't see. Mine builds pressure, and as soon as I open the boom valve, it's sprays, but the pressure drops to 0. It still sprays, but why does it go to zero?. Shouldn't it hold some kind of pressure?. All screens are clean and I just put a new manifold on it. Thanks for any help
My issue as well. I did everything on this video and tightened down all the hoses but no luck.

Mine keep losing prime in the pump. This seems to be a common problem that you don't talk about. I have to remove tube and run water inside to get it to work. How about talking about that issue and how to fix it?????....

my 25 gal sprayer squirts out the water instead of a mist. emptied the tank in only a few feet. can i set the noozles for a mist?
Can you clean them out with vinegar?
Appreciate your question iAvi8! So we would actually recommend that you use a designated tank cleaner instead of vinegar. Cleaning out a sprayer with vinegar can damage interior parts and be corrosive. We recommend either one of these products for flushing out your sprayer. Have a great day.

My pump will not hold pressure. It builds up to 60 psi cuts off and emeditly drops to 40 and kicks back on . If I turn th3 pump off when it reaches 60 psi it loses all pressure.
Good Morning Tom,
Appreciate you reaching out to us about your Fimco sprayer. I've sent your comments over to our technicians to see about getting some answers on your pump. We will reach back out to you here on RUclips as soon as some feedback comes over. Feel free to reach out to our Customer Care Team in the meantime at 1800.345.0169. Thanks Tom!
Hello again Tom, thanks for your patience! So it sounds like your bypass/recirculation valve is open to some degree. This would be the valve on the manifold that has the rigid tube that runs into the top of your tank. This valve allows you to adjust pressure and mix the contents within your tank.
Here's what we recommend you try:
1. make sure you have no external leaks
2. make sure the valve (small gray switch) is completely closed
3. if this is not the issue, it has to be an internal problem with the diaphragm leaking inside or a nozzle issue
Hope this is helpful, but please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need more help troubleshooting your sprayer. Have a great day! www.agrisupply.com
Shaft on the electric motor on mine barely turns on. Bought it last fall, ran it 4 times to spray for weeds; now its spring and it's not working. Anyone know a good electric motor video for this pump?
my sprayer keeps blowing fuses,
Thanks for reaching out Kim! If you have a moment to reach out to our Customer Care Center at 800.345.0169 we can help troubleshoot what issues might be causing this to occur on the sprayer with your fuses.
What if the motor doesn't come on
Good Morning @user-lf8wz5zv7c There could be a variety of reasons for your motor not wanting to switch on. Would you mind reaching out directly to our Customer Care Team at (800) 345-0169. We'd like the opportunity to talk through the issue you might be experiencing with your Fimco Sprayer, thanks!
DO NOT hook up to a golf cart battery.
Thanks for your comment Murphy! We always recommend customers follow closely their provided user manuals for any Fimco sprayer applications. Appreciate you checking us out!
Wondering if I have to hook the power directly to the battery or if I can just use the cigarette lighter type auxiliary cord on my ATV
I connect my sprayer pump to the cigarette lighter type jack on my ATV; works great :0)
Mine worked good
But now my pump won't pick up. Runs, hoses are clean filter is clean. Just won't go through the pump
Marc McClain same here. Did you get it fixed?
I pulled the pump off the motor and the shaft barrel turned. Bad motor I think
Mine does the same thing I remove the suction line and spray the garden hose in pump with pump on and while doing this I push the suction tube back in usually works but it is a pain in the ares
Just put mine on for first time, nozzles leak constantly
Good Morning Mr. Arndt. We are sorry for the leaks on your new Fimco sprayer. If you could please contact customerservice@agrisupply.com, we can help you figure out why the nozzles are leaking.
They might be using cheap Teflon tape so go get some nice thick tape and redo it ..make it right.
I hate these pumps, nothing but trouble
Hi there Mark, thanks for sending your comment on our video! Just depending on which particular Fimco pump you own, it may be a simple fix or just a maintenance issue that is hindering a sprayer from working properly. We'd be happy to chat with you about your Fimco sprayer if you have a moment to call our Customer Care Center at 1-800-345-0169 or shoot us a message chat online: www.agrisupply.com/contactus.aspx Have a nice day!
Those pumps are junk
Good Morning. We wanted to reach out to you to see if you had an issue with your Fimco sprayer? If you could please provide us with an email address so we can contact you with your issue, that would be great.
I disagree.... I've had mine for about 10 years now.
I agree, they are junk. both tubes flat in six month, 3 of the four pump mounting tabs cracked off withn the second year. today,18 months, pump will not prime. I guess i will blow 70$ for a replacement pump as i do not have time to order parts and trouble shoot.
I have to replace my pumps about every 2-1/2 years. Purchased / Delivered Aug 2015. I spray 60 gallons of spray in March, May, July, and maybe Sept, across my property; driveway and woods areas each year. l clean it, just like I do all my equipment - thoroughly, with sprayer cleaner exactly according to directions. New pump in spring of 2017; now on 3rd pump. Manifold connectors just break - not even being touched. Just the jiggling of the pump running and the ride across fairly smooth property. If I knew another company that made a sprayer that could do what this one does and was more reliable, I'd through this one away and switch in a minute.
@Adam Coyne You are full of shit! Go get a new dc pump!
I cut my hose down to 7’. Best decision every. Know my hose isn’t getting run over
Didn't help me at all. So no one else ever had a problem with the pump surging?
Good Morning Richard,
Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your Fimco sprayer pump. We'd be happy to troubleshoot a few things for you to try to fix the pump surging. If you have a moment, please reach out to our team via email at tech@agrisupply.com. I will also speak to our team to see what suggestions they might have for this and send a comment back here on RUclips, thank you!
Hello Richard,
Thanks for your patience! Got a little more insight on your issue. It could be one of two things:
#1- One possible problem would be on the suction side of the pump. Often times if the strainer at the cut-off valve to the tank is checked, it may be partially stopped up. It could be grains of sand or small pieces of other foreign material. Also looking inside the tank at the outlet point, it could be a piece of plastic of sort that has covered or partially covered the hole causing the pump to starve for water. It's also good to insure that the suction hose is clear all the way to the pump. The suction hose can be un-hooked at each end and safely washed out to insure that it is free of debris.
#2- Another issue could be there is a small leak somewhere on the outlet side of the pump. This means that when the pump comes on to build up pressure, it then cuts off when the pressure is met. If even just a few small drops of fluid leak out somewhere, the pressure will drop causing the pump to come back on quickly and overcome the pressure loss.
Hope this feedback is helpful! Again, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Care Team if you have any other questions at 800.345.0169. Thanks for watching!
I won't buy another12v one. Fimco makes junk
