Yeah, I would go for the Asus, but Display Port 2.1 will be really nice to have, so that I don't ever have to fuss with DSC in future. So for that reason, I am probably going to get the FO32U2P as it's on sale right now. The MSI 322URX is $1300, for basically the same panel (and 98W usb-c charging instead of 65W). Interestingly, the 322URX lists Display Port 2.1a, and the FO32U2P just lists 2.1, but I am not sure what the difference is there. They are both UHBR20. I looked at a bunch of CES videos, hoping that I'd see something new coming in the 32", but it looks like only the 27" are getting new panels this year. I expect that the Asus models will be updated with Display Port 2.1 sometime this year, but then again, the price will jump back up. Thanks for the video.
I'm still resisting ...I'm waiting for 42 inch, 4k, Glossy WOLED, maybe around 165hz (144hz would be fine too) MONITOR...like the Pg42UQ, but glossy... CES was dissapointing😢 I hope one of the brands makes me happy this year... Yeah I know, C4, maybe C5 should be my choice then...but yeah. Anyway, great Video 👍
I love this monitor, only downside is not having dp 2.1. Which is why i bought the gigabyte model for. I use them both equally, but currently the pc connect to the asus is getting the most use though.
The link connecting to the AORUS FO32U2P on amazon seems to show it at 50% off but being sold from a Chinese seller, I would beware for a scam with the option specifically but extremely informative video till the very end, I personally want to go with the msi321urx if it goes on an extreme discount or the aorus due to the dp 2.1 as I plan on picking up a 5080.
I sold my AW3225QF and switched to the 32GS95UE. The Alienware felt cheaply built (crinkling sounds from weak plastics when adjusting height) and lacked features other monitors had at a similar price point. Loved the LG but it lacked features I actually felt would be useful for me as I already have dedicated speakers and 480hz mode was underutilized. Saw this one in stock for the first time and decided to give it a shot and compare it to the LG. I ended up returning the LG (I'll miss the sleakness). This one has more customizable color settings, HDR modes and 90w USB-C display port. I always thought the build quality would be cheap and I'm not into the gamer look but I was pleasantly surprised. As for DSC, I have tried toggling it on and off to see if I can tell a difference and I truly can not. Since both displays are capped at 4k 240hz I figure I can go without it and the the other features and designs be the deciding factors. So far this is my favorite monitor that I have tried.
I have an AW3423DW monitor but finally decided to grab this since the 2025 releases were super disappointing. I was hoping we'd see DP 2.1 360 Hz 4K panels but I suppose that's for CES 2026 so I'll prob be upgrading again in a year and selilng the PG32UCDM. But in the meantime, I think I'll enjoy moving away from 21:9 back to 16:9 as I miss the extra vertical pixels. Thx for the review.
360 hz in 4k is wild It’ll probably happen as I’m only 27 but I’ve been gaming for like 20 years I used to have a fx 6300 cpu which was roughly 3 cores, and amd r7 270x gpu
Really nice review video! Great information. First time OLED monitor buyer here. I currently have 3 Asus PG279Q's all of which are older IPS screens. I'd like to replace my middle screen with a 32" OLED. Since I have an RTX 4090 the DP 1.4 connector is fine. My concerns are the brightness of the OLED screens that would be side by side with IPS screens and the maintenance and care of OLED to mitigate screen burn in. When I play games I use my middle monitor. When I watch videos I use my left hand monitor. My concern is that I'll be sitting in front of the computer to watch YT, and the PG32UDCM sensor will see me there and not turn off the monitor. I think I saw where you could have a single monitor screen saver setting with the PG32UDCM? Is there a work around for my setup or would I just need to manually turn off my center monitor when I just want to chill and watch YT. Thanks!
It has a screen saver feature where it will turn off if nothing is going on onscreen but I’m not sure how that would work with you running multiple monitors. You might have to manually turn it off
This is a good monitor. But it's not $200 better than the Dell Alienware AW3225QF. The 3225 out of the box is nearly perfect calibration. With minor adjustments you can make it even better. Has Dolby Vision. Has gotten several Firmware updates fixing all issues it had at release and shows support from Dell. There is nothing low quality about it. HDMI 2.1 is still useless at this point. And even monitor reviewers can't SEE a difference in picture quality. I got the Alienware on sale for $899. The Asus is always $200-$300 more and is almost always out of stock. Save your money and buy the dell. MSI is having firmware issues/support. They might be cheaper than the dell but I'd rather have good firmware support over saving $49
Some would argue crisper visuals and better fidelity. I don’t personally see the difference but I haven’t tested them side by side which I would have to do. The higher bandwidth will mean higher resolutions and refresh rates along with the ability to use 10bit color which will apply to other monitors with those features.
im looking into both these , is the gigabyte better genuinely, currently have a aorus FI32u which is brilliant but i would like to see what the oled is like ! , cheers

I don't know if this is a problem, but when using this monitor with a ps5, when launching some games, the screen turns off for a few seconds and then turns on. Have you encountered this?
Probably DSC, these monitors are 10bit 4k 4.4.4 color displays ps5 only supports 32gbps over HDMI 2.1 over say series X or graphics cards that support the full 48gbps so no DSC is needed for Full 10bit 444 color 4k120Hz and HDR.

This is the best Oled monitor period. I was able to calibrate it into with the exception of not being 360 hz about as good as I can imagine 4k being. My glossy woled and other monitors I’ve tried do not stand up. The room can even be very bright, just don’t have lights behind the monitor. Get a different one in that case. It’s a treat every time I sit down.
@Charly_dvorak there isn't, that's why you wait for it. Right now I'm using mini led which is closest thing to OLED without lacking the brightness and the worry of burn-in.
I returned as well. Brightness during sunny or snowy scenes looks so bad. I’m still using the PG27UQ. It smokes this thing. I also tried the UCDP. It looked even worse.
Ordered the PG27UCDM delivery is in March, first OLED monitor so looking forward to it! Will be a nice upgrade from my 4k 160Hz Nano IPS LG 27gp950
