Installing a water inlet valve on a Whirlpool washer can be done following these steps:
Turn off the power to the washer and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Shut off the water supply to the washer by turning off the valve that controls the water flow to the washer.
Remove the old water inlet valve by disconnecting the water supply hoses from the back of the washer and unscrewing the mounting screws that secure the valve to the washer. Be sure to also disconnect the electrical wires from the old valve.
Install the new water inlet valve by first reconnecting the electrical wires to the appropriate terminals on the new valve.
Connect the water supply hoses to the appropriate ports on the new valve, making sure to tighten the hose connections securely.
Secure the new valve to the washer using the mounting screws provided.
Turn on the water supply valve and check for any leaks around the hose connections.
Plug the washer back in and restore power to the washer.
Test the washer to make sure that the new water inlet valve is functioning properly.

Do you just push the inlet valve into the "hole" of the cabinet ? What does the connection between the new replacement inlet valve and the washing machine look like ? How does it seal/snap together to make sure there is no leak ?

3:55 The first thing you do is slide the inlet valve opposite of the red and blue side into the square hole line the holes up to screw the metal screws to mount then push the red and blue threaded pieces into the 2 large holes. now screw the metal screws into the inlet to mount the valve.
