    Hi Christy,
Do you use non-asbestos friction linings on your machines, or are you still working your way through the “old stock” ?
If you’ve changed over to non-asbestos materials, have you had any problems with them - specifically, accelerated wear rates on the drum surfaces ?
    Kind regards,
    Steve A.

Thank you for your reply - do you use a woven lining, or a solid preformed material ? - over here in the UK, I’ve seen evidence of the green-grey preformed stuff wearing away the cast iron drum material quite quickly, on Ruston -Bucyrus machines . . . .
I’m just trying to gather up some operating experiences to see if others have had problems, and whether there are any recommendations.
You were an obvious first choice, as your machines are still working for a living !
      Kind regards,
      Steve A.

@@steveallarton98 mostly molded lining on everything. The 440 has to have woven lining on the hoist and drag clutches. I think somebody either turned the surface making it larger ID or the clutch bands are wrong for the machine. I put the right material on it and it didn't make it an hour before it broke them in pieces, too much flex. Running oversized woven that will take any flexing and they work great.

Thank you for for that ; I’ve used the woven linings on an old Ruston Bucyrus 33 RB, with apparent success, too . . . .
The moulded linings generally seem to work well on the Koehring machines - maybe the clutches run a little bit cooler, as my bad experiences relate to Bucyrus manufactured equipment . . . .
Although I do appreciate your comments about getting the band thickness right, with the moulded linings !
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours !
      Kind regards,
      Steve A

    Nice video Mister Cotter!
Love to hear that GM diesel.
You have a lot more subscribers than i do.😅 My channel is only 3 months old now. Putting some of my dragline video's on that i had on my phone. The last years i operated hydraulic draglines. I've also ran mechanical draglines with air controls in the past but unfortenately i have no video's of those.
    Greetings from The Netherlands!
What bucket size is on the 440?
