India wins a series in West Indies after 35 years...the best ininngs so far by an Indian....MAN OF D SERIES AND MAN OF MATCH..BOTH GOING TO HIM...that too in favourable bowling conditions.....

Rahul Dravid has almost done everything in this game.. Batted at 3 and scored a century in the first innings and was also the last man standing, kept wickets for a brief time (refer the over bowled by Raina) and opened the second innings due to Gambhir's injury.. complete team man.. Respect ❤️😇

None of the other big guns passed the test. Dravid was an exceptional batsman and possibly the best overseas batsman India ever had and the best player you could have around.

Praveen Kumar is a vital cog in our bowling unit. He was hardly considered after 2012 whereas guys like Mohit Sharma, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur etc are getting too many chances.
One of the reason was his poor fielding too

They still are.
Anderson has lost pace over the years but he is getting better in terms of skill with age. Earlier who could mostly do well on a damp cold cloudy English day with a dampish pitch. Now he bowls much slower but has got the skill to do well on flat/spinning subcontinental wickets as well

In 2006 SA tour, he scored 3 consecutive centuries in ODIs. Was the batsman to score fastest 1000 in T20I. still remains the 4th fastest. He was one of the very few batsmen of that generation who aced in all three formats.
@@prasanthganesan8829 buddy, his odi and test average is below 50 after playing more than 100 matches. I don't think that any legend batsman has this type of bad average. Even recently i was watching interview of sehwag and harbhajan, they also said that Peterson is overrated batsman.

@@Rakesh-dp9sr Pietersen averaged 40 across all three formats he played. 50 average is not a criteria for a legend. Look at Dravid's ODI average or laxman's test average. Aren't they legends? And I'm not gonna talk about Sehwag's T20 average 😂
And the statement made by harbhajan and sehwag was because KP mercilessly banged Indian bowlers during that period. In the very next tour after the one shown in this video, Pietersen scored 186 at Mumbai by switch hitting harbhajan.
Even Murali and Warne agreed Pietersen was the toughest English batsman they bowled to.
I still believe Praveen Kumar was unfairly dropped out of the team.

Actually Sachin had good starts in Eng and Aus series like 30s and 40s, but failed to convert them.
I went on 5th day in anticipation of another Dravid-Laxman partnership. To be fair it wasn't easy on last day and considering score board pressure. India conceded two many runs on 1st innings, that's where they lost the match.

This series was extremely painful to watch, the highest score the entire team scored in that series was 300 😓
A match to remember for me !! It was the First ever Test Match for me and as an English Fan, KP's double ton-Prior's Ton-Broad's 74*-Anderson's five fer !!
I still remember the whole series like it happened yesterday. Broad ran riot in this series. Definitely one of the best bowling I have watched along with Mitch Johnson in 2013-14 Ashes. And Dravid was a one man army for India, and India's best bowler Zaheer got injured early in the match and that impacted the team in the whole series. Was super painful to watch this series at that time though as an Indian fan.

Kevin Pietersen could have been the best player England has ever produced. He could have been the next big thing in cricket. Sad that he failed just because of his mistake which is acceptable. Maybe he was born in SA but he can't do something against ENG. For me still he is the best England player whatever the format whoever the bowler, KP kind of makes the best strokes and do them easily.
He already is recognised as their one of best players chill

2 things I learnt-
1) Suresh Raina is the one who is most pumped up and rejuvenates whoever gets wicket.
2) Praveen Kumar was a talented player and I misunderstood him as a only a sychophant TV Anchor

Also Dhoni's downfall in tests started from this series. Despite his greatness in limited overs was very average in tests (As a captain and especially as a batsman). Had to retire as early as 2014.

Broad was amazing........he was man of the he series....he was one of the resons England won...he also took a hat-trick become the first Englishman to take one against India..... proved himself...and people still talk about the sixes.
After WC2011 India Won, from this series especially in test matches India were loosing all matches. Except Dravid all batsman collective failure, coaching of Duncan Fletcher, dropping catches in Slips were main reason for loss.
