Great ideas for testing the gates 👌
Yea I’m glad everyone chimed in. What’s messed up is I’ve seen dozens of videos of guys doing this in the past but it didn’t even cross my mind when I needed it too. 🤦🏼♂️ I think I’m just getting old.
Awesome stuff!!!
Always good to get knowledge in the comments from everyone
In the process of starting a buget sbe 6.0 twin turbo 88 s10 build, but wanted to Thank you for so much valuable information for us buget little guys👍👍
Thank you for watching brother!
Deff need a proper wastegate vid.. all this is helpin me a ton with my current build.. I also have the speed daddy waste gates so I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any issues upon working the bugs out
I’ll try to put something together this week brother. If my job doesn’t keep beating me into the ground. 🤦🏼♂️
I'm making more boost than you right now with my tiny little blower hehe. I have no doubts you'll get this sorted out Robert! Nice work on the troubleshooting!
Damn that tool could save your engine just by checking everything for accuracy! I know the holley adjusts for fueling but its got to throw other things off that matter! And if the boost rises it gets worse that could cause major problems or engine failure. The timing drop per pound of boost if map reads low could cause issues exp. as you push the stock rods! And i expect other thing that are above my novice head. I been waiting on our holley terminator for 3 months so i will be lucky to get the car going by winter
You’re correct on all accounts. Really glad I figured this out before I started turning the boost up!
wirecre, com has the heat protection in different colors and styles
FIGURING OUT OUR ISSUES AND HOW TO FIX THEM. The good news is none of them are major problems....yet.
Push lock fittings are great, but need to go in protective heat sleeves in high temp areas for sure 🔥
Yea I’ve got some pieces laying around over here. May need to order some more.
Put that map sensor closer to the manifold. You lose pressure for so many inches away because if the flex in the tube.
I actually thought about that but that’s not the case at all. I put it all the way at the end of the 50ft spool of tubing since it was laying there and the readings didn’t change at all. It may effect it if using soft tubing, but it doesn’t matter with hard tubing. 👍The scaling is definitely wrong though according to every chart I’ve found for a gm 3bar online.
I use those air fitting all the time but I like the brass one but like you said about 3 times the price I have seen the plastic ones leak but we are talking 120psi on truck air systems haha not 20 to 30 psi of boost I will keep watching for the heat update
My Mailman brings me nothing but bills too, the bastard!!
🤣
Why the hell would someone not like being mentioned in videos lol. In replacement of his name use mine 😄😄😄😄
He’s got his reasons. 😉
I don’t have a lot of mileage swap yet, but I haven’t had any issues with my push lock fittings or tubing yet. Only problem I’ve had recently is it’s starting to go lean on decel?
Awesome to here! I’m hoping if I just route them carefully they’ll be fine. May switch to the all metal fittings on the wastegates as well if they give me issues. Oh, and you’re supposed to go lean on decal. Unless you like fireballs. 😉
@@BadLuckGarage I didn’t know that very new to tuning and learning and fumbling my way through it, Thanks for that info, had me worried. I have a plastic 45’s on my wastegate and they “seem” to be ok for now. I was concerned also when I installed them that they could cause me some issues.
