Exactly. I hate when people laugh at my small dog when he is barking. They think it's funny but they don't realize he is scared of people. He needs understanding and love, not to be laughed at.
After following It's Me or the Dog for numerous episodes, I swear, there is not a situation Victoria can't handle! She has such a unique understanding of why dogs behave like they do. She's firm when need be with the dogs and their owners, and gives praise , love, and respect when they learn. I feel confident in saying that she is by far the best dog trainer I've EVER seen! She's remarkable.
But Niko didn't attack her which is more important at the moment. Maybe Victoria did this off camera but after the attack on Toby by the other dog she should have said to Cameron that had Toby been off leash that episode could have ended much differently. Just to emphasize it.
I don't have a dog right now but I have learned alot from watching Victoria and have shared her videos with others who are having issues with their dogs.
I will say that off the leash thing is dangerous! I'm glad Victoria addressed that, I know because I had a German Shepard which a little dog charged up at him. Our German Shepard disliked little dogs so he sat on him with his fluffy but. The owner was happy our German Shepard didn't hurt him badly but yea don't leave your dogs off leash like that.
I would have had a hard time keeping my Shepherd from reacting if that dog charged her and tried to bite. Our Great Dane would probably not have cared but little dogs running up on my GSD is for sure a stressor on walks.
I have a cairn terrier, and he acts like this as well. He acts like a little terror. I'm just glad I found this video to use the techniques that were displayed in the video. Thank you.

Her and Jo Frost from Supernanny are great people. You can tell they're very kind and loving people but they can be very adamant and brutally honest. Qualities that have been extremely lacking in today's world. Like both women will come in and actually tell you the problems they see without beating around the bush and then how to fix the issues.
My mom's Chihuahua/Maltese mix was a sweet dog, but used to get up on my bed and pee on it. Mom never did anything about it. I just had to keep my door shut at all times. We had multiple small dogs over the years and my mom never trained them. It always drove me insane. She is actually a big reason that I'm such an advocate for training small dogs. People think that just because they're little that they don't require training like big dogs do, and that's just not true. Every dog, regardless of size, needs training.
Reminds me a bit of my Grandmother's dog. Ashley was a dachshund. And she demanded to rule the house. If the other dogs wanted to play, she'd run in the middle and bite at their faces and bark. Our dogs stopped playing as much as a result. which was sad because they loved to play. And Grandma would just ignore it, think her dog was doing nothing wrong and would call her over to offer her pets and kisses. My grandma did everything wrong as a dog owner. Meanwhile mom and I would try to retrain her, Grandma would ruin whatever progress we'd make by rewarding bad behavior.
My husband and his half Dachshund, half?, an aggressive 40 pound monster were like your Grandmother. He would never be consistent or control him. I was afraid that the dog would bite me (although he was better when my husband was three weeks in rehab after an illness), and his grandson was terrified to come over- the dog caused our guests to be fearful. He had to be muzzled. It was terrible. Because my husband is medically fragile and has poor balance, his dog had to be put down because nobody could manage him and his aggression. If that was a big dog they would have had to put it down by now, it's bitten like how many people? Victoria is incredible honestly, I would have kicked it across the room, I cannot stand aggressive ankle biters. Edit for all small dog lovers - I do not own a dog, don't worry, I have a cockatoo. I’m not buying that Cameron and Cortez are just friends, when I listen to these 2 I’m like “Yeah no, they definitely sound like a couple to me”
Same
Nicko knows more then we think that's why he doesn't let them near each 😏👀
I bet they’re happy he won’t charge at him when he “comes into the bed room to talk” 😂😂😂
If I was living with a gorgeous woman, whose filled out in the right place with wide hips and a chest of zepplins you could ski down, with cleavage I could get lost in AND WE WERE ROOMMATES, living in San Francisco, what makes you presume that there was anything between us.
and they were roommates.
Now we know why she dressed like a dominatrix. Lol.
hey the other dog attack first!! & who's the cameraman-
I think this dog is over protective
Damn!
Is that RuPauls twin?
Whys it so good woth your face shape omg you look adorable with it
OMG! That is so dangerous and not safe for anyone 😮
This is a true sad fact that small dogs are the most unstable aggressive breeds of all dogs.
i have yorkie it takes work
Teach them
Mine doesn't bit the only time she'll attack is if we're in danger or you make her very mad she'll snap at people which is normal 🤷
Other then that she's friendly playful
Boy they were roommates...
Nico saying he in charge
I would rather deal with an angry big dog, then an angry small one
Wow always had nice dogs. When you get them correct the behavior day one. Remove and redirect always. No exceptions. No nasty dog.
Facts, these two definitely too “sparklie” to be just friends 😂
Good thing that worthless trash dog didnt bite me...😠
Your "friend"?
No, babe.... no, no, no. We haven't had to do that since the 90's. That's... honestly it makes me sad to see.
No dogs getting kicked here. Not a chance I'd share my house with an aggressive rat. And then it's scared of a frigging click. Seriously 🙄 budgies aren't even scared of clickers!
How the camera crew survived?
The cameraman never dies 😂
It’s time to get over it and mind your own business
They are adorable dogs ❤
I hate little dogs, they get little man syndrome
I wonder if these gentlemen own doghouses...
Cortez looks lke he coild be Charles Barkley's son! Js
Or it's because the size there are
It's sad that I knew there were gonna be people going "just roommates/friends? Oh, I'm sure".
Even sadder that such a thing was the first comment at the top 😮💨
Y'all probably also believe a straight man and woman can't live together as just friends.
and history will call them roommates
MY NAME IS NICO, MY BOYFRIEND’S NAME IS TOBY
Un-Neutered male dogs will act like that.
Yeah, they’re only “best friends” , rigghhtt!!
