That's a great demonstration of what you can do with many polish pads. It would have been nice to see more of the finished surface than just one 3 second clip from a single angle.
might be a super dumb question - but would it be extremely difficult to chisel into this after it's set? i assume so since it's a protectant, but i just thought i'd ask! conversely - would it just fill words/designs in to make them illegible if the concrete was chiseled before application?
How do you attach the pads to a grinder is there an adapter? Is it a normal angle grinder or a concrete polishing grinder with variable speeds? What pads shall I use for concrete that’s already been steel troweled thank you
The machine comes with a 5/8" arbor. Some cup wheels will come with an arbor in this size as well and other will require an adapter. In terms of velcro pads, you would need a velcro backer pad with a 5/8" arbor and 3, 4, 5, or 7" diameter. Please note that the machine used in this video is not a grinder. It is a variable speed machine (Makita 9237CX3).
Costco uses a "natural polish" this means that they get their polish by going higher in the diamonds rather than using a guard like we did in this video. There are pros & cons to both, but it's less labor intensive to use a guard and it offers more protection against scratches & acids.

Smart job.
WHAT GRIT DIAMOND CUP?
did you use all of the different grind pads first before the smartkrete or is this in place of having to do those?
the pads are held in place with velco. they are separate pads at varying grit values.
BTW this product is not being sold on amazon anymore.
I have this tool, but I don know how to install the polish adaptor to it, can help me?
Makita uses a 5/8"-11 thread, the backer pad just threads on. The backer pad has a velcro pad to enable attaching the diamond pads
Price ??
How long must you let the concrete cure before polishing it?
A new pour of concrete at least 28 days. For the resins and/or densifiers, guard 60 minutes to 1 hour and a half.

How does Costco finish their concrete floors? I'd like to get my floor to that level of finish, doesn't have to be mirror/slippery smooth.
Pretty much the same process, but by using industrial sized machines for polishing.

Is smart guard a wax?
No, it's an acrylic based product with lithium silicate for added surface hardness. It's much easier to strip or maintain than any wax product.
Im a sculptor. Can i polish a sphere with the same equipment?
That's a good question. I'm sure you can.
Which was the first wheel you used for rough surface
