I would think in a video of this complexity the narrator could get the model number correct. Sometimes it was a 7495 and sometimes it was a 7945 or are there two completely diff machines. I'm a 33 yr vet of the Decatur, IL Caterpillar Plant the home of off highway trucks, tractor scrapers and select rubber tired loaders and compactor wheel loaders.

This is definitely one of the more comprehensive videos of its type I’ve seen. It’s too bad you didn’t find a way to introduce yourself as a component of this industry without knocking someone else’s honest effort.

The narrator keeps calling it a 7945. It's 7495. I also see errors where the wrong video is shown vs the narration. Bad review and the editing were poorly done. Anyone who has every built one of these machines would surely notice these errors. It would be a great video if edited properly.

    Hi, Folks.
    Quote:
"There, bomb blasts every now and then .....".
    Unquote.
There are NO 'bomb blasts' in quarries or mines. What there are a lot of are blasting operations PLANNED to loosen hard material for extraction.
    Quote:
"This rope shovel weighs more than FIFTY THOUSAND THIRTY THREE US TONS."
    Unquote.
The Caterpillar specifications for the heaviest version of this rope shovel show a working weight of ONE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY, POINT 714 METRIC TONNES - - - - - NOT 50,000 some odd tons.
The BIGGEST and most powerful rope shovel ever built, the Marion 6360 known as The Captain, weighed a 'mere' FOURTEEN THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED TONS and carried a 160 cubic yard bucket. Tonka toy??????????????
If you have stuffed up this badly with your CLICKBAIT headline and your beginning descriptions and statistics about mining and quarrying and about this machine, how much value could there possibly be in continuing to watch this KRAPPPPPP. Not much, methinks.
    Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful DELUSION. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Thank you for pointing out our mistakes, and you are welcome to criticise, but those are clearly human errors. Our workflow is pretty much complicated but we are improving it. It was 1533 but somehow it wrongly got written in words {fifty hundred and thirty three US/short tons}. Cleary we said metaphorically about bombs.

    • @dplant8961
      @dplant8961 Месяц назад

      Hello,@@THEIDEABEHIND.
"Metaphorically" ???????????? BOOOLSCHEYITTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was NOT clear that it was 'metaphorically'.
STOP making excuses and get your FACTS RIGHT BEFORE you publish. Heck, even the picture that you have used as clickbait on your post looks NOTHING like the machine you are talking about.
      Just my 0.02.
