These excavators are like giants on the job site! I can only imagine the cost and maintenance involved, but they definitely get the job done. Great overview!
I worked in/on projects with Bucyrus....some loader buckets...125 cubic yards... the largest drag line...Thinking the Big Muskie...that bucket was over 200 cubic yards.... MASSIVE
"Celsius is a unit of temperature measurement used widely around the world. The Celsius system defines the freezing point of water at 0 degrees C and the boiling point at 100 degrees C (at 1 atm pressure). When referring to 'operating at -50 and +50 degrees Celsius,' it means that the device or material can function effectively within a wide temperature range from -50°C to +50°C."
These hydraulic excavators are truly gigantic and extremely powerful. Their power and size make it impossible to take my eyes off them. Truly the pinnacle of construction technology.
This season on Gold Rush, Parker sets his highest goal yet. Will his his all green crew and new hydraulic excavator be enough to see them through, or will Parker have to leave the Klondike for good?
I believe that model is not a Lego creation, but a 1/50 scale diecast model made by Conrad models, & with much higher detail than a Lego model. But from the distance the model is shown in the video, it's hard to know for sure.
Maybe the 6120 was only invented coz cat doesnt like the history of the rh400, there is probably no market for such a monster, from the rh400 only 7 units were sold in 20 years.
The 6120 was actually designed and built by Bucyrus, after their takeover of Terex Mining. If you count the Cat 6090, which is just a renamed RH400, there were more than 7 built.
Actually, the 6120 was built before Bucyrus took over Terex. Once that acquisition was complete there was no need for Bucyrus to continue the project as they had a full line of hydraulic excavators.
@@alco4248 That is correct, because they hired a bunch of engineers that were ex Terex employees to help design the machine. Bucyrus purchased Terex in February of 2010. The 6120 project was intitially started in late 2006 or early 2007. The machine was already built and assembled prior to the Terex purchase. Kind of have a decent knowledge of this as i purchased a majority of the steel components on the 6120 machine when i worked there and was on the project team.
Was on the team that transitioned the build from Dortmund to the US. The equivalent output CAT engine was 18" too long. The entire back end would have needed to be redesigned. Too many engineering hours and dollars for a small payback based on the number of units sold.
What upgrades could Caterpillar possibly put on/add to the O&K??? They purchased BE and kept manufacturing O&K because their own excavators were just NOT up to scratch.

The cat machine can move 68 cu yards of dirt. That's 136,000 pounds of dirt in one bite. A fully loaded semi truck with cargo and both fuel tanks full is 80,000 pounds.

Bet they have a good vision plan! The driver seat is parked a fair distance from the action
Lost me at “Celsium” , embarrassing
So smart....so smart....
It is new kind of unit
Glad I wasn’t the only one who caught that 🤦🏾♂️😆
I really wish they would have a real person read this stuff. Every RUclips video on these big excavators is brainless AI like text to speech.
It's ai lol

Very helpful guide when deciding which bucket excavator to buy
“Can operate in minus 50 and plus 50 degrees Celcium”. What the hell is Celcium???
I think it's what you get when you put calcium in a microwave. I could be wrong though... 😂

Watching these massive excavators in action is so satisfying! Props to the people who design and operate them 2:40

Heavy equipment excavator big very good videos

These excavators redefine power and efficiency!
Realy I like this biggest excavators
Wow!😊 They are so big😊
85 yards in one shovel. That would flatten any basic mining rock truck. Lol 😂
Not the 400 ton class.
3:54 did anyone catch the Lego model?

Fantástico essas gigantes da mineração 👏👏👏👍👊
Alat2 penghancur batu tanah yg luar biasa
Nothing like a low level bot describing fairly sophisticated mining equipment...
OMG they are so bigest this excavators I like it

i would love to operate such big machine
I live close to Colmar and see the Liebherr R9800 pretty often when driving by. Those machines are absolutely enormous

That's some awesome stuff😊😅😂
The PC 8000 loading 222 793 cat was taking from the Kalgoorlie Superpit where I used to work as a Truck operator.

I fell asleep on a hammer breaking rock, 7 ton excavator so boring . The bobcat ferry guy woke me up.
What is celcium....?
Liebherr makes some reallybig equitment, it is celcius not celcium sir
Thank you for your comment, and apologies for this mistake. Unfortunately, we can't fix the voice-over at this point
I drive the trucks that get loaded by a Liebherr 9800 its the coolest thing to see in person
The cat has cummins engines😂bc theyre the best
The PC-8000-11 are manufactured in Germany, not Japan.
Will his his all green crew and new hydraulic excavator be enough to see them through
What are you doing here?
I mean no contest bro. CAT is the standard in the world of heavy equipment!¡!
Only one of these is actually an excavator...the Liebherr R 9800...the rest are hydraulic shovels...
I wonder if that CAT6120 was a prototype for the DoD. War would call for heavier mining.
Bucyrus самые большие машина на карьерах. как и их дреглайн Bucyrus 8750. его моделька в масштабе 1:50 10000 долларов стоит.

I think it’s funny they all have the option for Cummins engines. Even the Cat.
Komatsu own engine
Fill 3 street dump trucks with one bucket full.
I highly doubt the Caterpillar excavator has a Cummins engine in it.

Is that first one correct? Chinese built, with Cummins engines?
That's pretty

Is anyone else curious about the batteries in the electric versions. They must be massive
They don't use batteries. They are powered by a very large cable directly. In one section of the video you can see the power cable.
