- I personally contacted Archimedes, the company that produces the unique and game-changing innovation in Wind Energy, Liam FI Wind Turbine. I am glad they responded to my email.
Here are the key points from the response I received:
- The company is unable to offer turbines in every location but can export them from South Korea or their manufacturer in India.
- Two sizes of the AWM turbine are available: AWM750D (75 cm diameter, 100 W rated output, and 140 W maximum power) and AWM1500D (1.5 meters diameter, 700 W rated kinetic energy, and 550 W rated electrical power).
- Both models have a 3 phase alternating current output with different voltage ranges.
- Wind speed recommendations: Shut down the turbine above 14 m/s, though it's tested up to 50 m/s.
- Low sound levels and closed rotor design make the turbine bird-friendly.
- The turbine is made of mostly recyclable materials like steel and aluminum, with a high residual value.
- Annual output varies depending on local wind conditions and installation height. Low wind speeds mean lower annual output.
- Special prices for Indian-made turbines: $1700 for AWM750D and $3200 for AWM1500D (without transport costs and customs duties).
- A controller is not included, but the customer can choose between off-grid and grid-tie controllers. Prices range from $500 to $1000.
- Customers can order controllers directly from a Chinese manufacturer for a potentially lower cost.

Even though they're selling, I never saw any review of people who actually used it. it would be great if at least one person could review about the turbine
im so sick of these "new" products that are impossible to purchase. I have done this google hunt 1,000 times in the past. what a waste of time.

I’ve been doing the same search as well. Must not be living up to its hype ( efficiency, durability) or it would be commercial by now.

Looks nice, but footprint, installation, and overall cost efficiency puts it multiples of conventional designs, which have been readily available for many years
I think that the fact that it's quiet makes it more desirable. Especially in urban areas.

Good lord... 13k/s or 27mph wind would be intense enough not to have to worry about turbine noise... the sound of loose items flapping in the breeze would be far louder.

1) All small wind turbines actually achieve only 5-15% of the advertised power.
2) All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity. And only at costs above 1$/kWh!
There is hardly any wind near the ground. And it is also very gusty, which extremely reduces the service life of the systems.
*With solar systems, you can reliably generate green electricity for about 3-10 cents/kWh over a period of 25 years!*
The problem with solar panels is that their efficiency drops over time, and in reality they're practical only for 10-15 years. But the fact that they don't need to be turned off if the wind is too fast is an advantage.
@@Natures_Symmetry NONSENSE! All studies show, that the so-called degredation (= efficiency loss of solar modules) is on average much lower than assumed! Just google “solar degredation study”. For example, the study “Onymous early-life performance degradation analysis of recent photovoltaic module technologies” shows, that even after 30 years approx 57 percent of the modules tested still deliver more than 80 percent of their original performance.
