Interesting. I like the analogy of FIR being like "molding clay". I may demo this thing, even though I tend to stick with plates and 224's mostly - I can see this being used very creatively in a mix.
slamcrank Hey SC, I am very similar with the EMT and some of the great vintage emulations of reverbs like the RMX16 and 224. Love them and use them all the time. That said, they are limited in a way the H-Reverb is not. When you really dig into this one, you can create some amazingly unique reverb sounds within one plug that would take 3 or 4 extra plugins, and a lot of time to put together with your go-to reverbs. There is nothing like this out there IMO. Peace! Mike
Michael White I totally get what you're saying with having to use at least 3 or 4 extra plugins to do what this one can do. What an amazing period of time we live in these days! I really love that they've added a comp feature, as well as a drive. The reverse effect you get while messing with the modulation is pretty crazy! I love it! Cheers!!
Nathan Brown Hi Nathan, You can attend any live class for free. It is only the video recorded replay that requires a paid membership level for access. I give 4 hours of live classes every week (2 hours Wed, 2 hours Thu) of which about 30 mins or so finds its way for free access here on this channel. All the times and links for access are provided in the newsletter. Hope this answers your question. Mike
+81awesomeness Completely Different Reverb units. Aside from the fact that PCM 91 is hardware only, I think it has limited use in a mix since I can only use it once. I can load multiple H-Reverbs with different settings. Both sound great, but I don't have one go to reverb for any given mix. Each has strengths and weaknesses and I am a big fan of the vintage reverb emulations as well. Cheers! Mike
@@oinkooink Why do you turn it around on the question asker? The question is relevant 24/7, can I consider your retreat as inability to provide rationale?
In fact, it has so many options and you have so much control that it boggles the mind. You basically need to be a sound engineer to be able to use it.

Hey man I just checked I have the free membership that won't allow me to attend the classes or view the in depth tutorials right?

Would you go with this or lexicon pcm 91 for mixing?

Can somebody show me a single famous song mixed with H-Reverb? Do they exist in nature?
What famous songs have you mixed? Let's start there.

@@sevchyk The question is silly to begin with. And you know what they say...
