Dude I find it so hilarious when I see people use kuro game’s generousity as a way to downplay them game💀 Like I’ve seen these genshin guys say “you only play because kuro keeps baiting you back with more free stuff” yea and it works because the game is simply better
kurogame has been known to be generous since PGR. the devs arent really money hungry. as a PGR player we even have meme that kuro game is allergic to money because of how generous they are. but its more or less that the devs are just passionate to the game that they made. they arent just devs but also a gamer (in fact they are a big fan of DMC that why theres easter eggs on wuwa about it )thats why they understand its players opinion and suggestions. its very rare to have a devs like this on a gaming industry.
@@Averageguy1221 I'm honestly convinced that their main selling point are the coatings rather than the characters😂😂😂 even the Creamson Weave Coating is cray cray...😂😂
The only thing I'm angry about them is that there are some npc that looks and feels like a playable one. Sure. We get to play three of them; Noctis (now available on global) Teddy and Bridget (CN for now) but also some villain that I wish we could get a chance to play them
Nah cause with genshin I haven’t even gotten past most of the story but with wuthering waves I’ve done the entire story and eager for the next story parts
Genshin ruined Genshin for me long before wuwa came out. I could barely play it without feeling annoyed or bored with no QoL improvements and even genshin’s new zones felt like the same old thing. I often took long breaks. Because it left such a bad taste I didn’t think I’d like Wuwa but decided to try it…now I can’t stop playing! I’m actually laughing while playing! I love that it’s edgy and gives me many ways to challenge my characters. I uninstalled “childish” genshin a few days later. I forgot how much fun gaming can be! As generous as Kuro is, ironically I’ve spent more in wuwa than I ever did in genshin. Go figure!
bro this is exactly the same for me. I’ve wanted Clorinde since I saw her and I was able to get her in 40 pulls. Unfortunately it was after playing wuwa and I left her at lvl 40 and haven’t logged in since
I quit that Genshin officially because of ruined storytelling and you know what's ruined the whole polished storytelling. You know it's paimon who keeps on repeating the same lines we already know and also she is annoying as fuck as she wouldn't let the traveler speak. The story telling is making a main character super weak because he/she didn't use a elemental skill against arlecchino. You know what's even more insulting? Klee wasn't have more screentime in Fontaine patches and natlan will release soon at the next patches. Mondstadt events were fully overshadowed by let's say the devs decided to do "LIYUE THIS AND LIYUE THAT, LIYUE THAT AND LIYUE THIS!!!" They like Liyue to make more kinds of events, forgetting everything else. These are few things that give me an eye opener that "fuck it, they don't even listen to the global community so I decided to quit for good, I ain't coming back there."
after playing WuWa, and then tried genshin again in 4.8, i was like “wtf, everything’s slow and limiting in genshin.” and it didn’t help that 4.8 genshin update was so cutie-kiddie-patootie with toy choo-choo trains and toy castles. like, wth. cringe. I just went back to WuWa.
"Wuwa might not kill Genshin but it definitely kill it for me" - Me and so many other player it seems I went back to GI to clear Abyss and the new end game content cuz although I main WW now I still havent quit GI but damn, despite playing GI since release and only about 2 months of Wuwa my muscle memory is basically overwritten by WW lol. I keep trying to do animation cancel, air dash/double jump, lock on, dodge counter, and so on XD I still think the elemental system in Genshin is fkcn genius but goddamn the gameplay is so flat. No counter aside from very specific character and switching to them to do the counter is pain especially if your main DPS ability disappear on switch (Dehya kekw), no parry, no perfect dodge, enemy hitbox is so chunky and since you have very limited movement option there are many time where you might get stuck or get pushed around by enemy hitbox which is such a pain. Your construct keep getting destroyed, the enemy is so static, since the game don't have much of a movement option it mostly rely on static combo. I could go on and on but yea, I think the worst part of GI for me is that at release I can hope that game would improve and be better but now I can only accept that this is the best it could ever be. Even if there is some change in QoL update it is too little too late and I highly doubt it can be anything crazy
Lowkey genshin’s elemental system has so much unused potential. Like imagine how complex they could make it if you could mix 3 or even 4 elements. Hell imagine if the traveler who allegedly can use multiple elements at once could actually use multiple elements at once
Ngl man, elemental reactions r nothing new. I think it's a staple of any jrpg or rpg since forever. I play this game grand summoners, they also have the 5 element system, and they have been around 7-8 yrs.
@@echo3568Right I have been wanting a character that has more that one element especially after Kazuha in Inazuma and the fatui thing (forgotten the name currently). At the very least I wish the MC would change as some special skill.
Exactly what I experienced but I already quitted GI after a week of playing both. Anyway the more you comparing them the more frustrating and stupid you feel for being one of their customers for almost 4 years. The more i look back at things the clearer of the big picture how wise the stategy GI using keeping us players at bay and never let us have our fill for years. They do know what players need but instead of reciprocate on those beggin they use such informations and suggestions on HSR. Their majority casual brainwashed fanbase was like wow a new game with better rewards but all these players feel FOMO for GI so almost 100% of these people have to carry both GI and HSR on their shoulder inevitably. There's also another one called ZZZ that pretty much plan to ride on these trend too so they advertised to HSR's and GI's fan base hard and long enough to have so much hype and many pre-registors. Although the game was mid at best imo but I bet its revenue will never be less than in the mid tier of all gacha games. One idiom fit perfectly to this sistuation is "Treasures in the sinked boat can never go outside of the swamp"
Best comment ever. WuWa won't kill genshin. But hoyoverse has left such a bad experience in my mind, that i don't feel like coming back to any of their games. I like the bare bones that WuWa is presenting, I just hope they build a better game from that. A game where my characters actually use their abilities, that I paid for and built!
My favorite part about WUWA is probably their business model to be honest. Being generous towards players, taking feedback and actually implementing it, making it easy and accessible to actually farm gacha currency for new characters for those who are F2P, and especially the guaranteed weapon. All of that makes me want to spend money EVEN more believe it or not. And I have! I’ve spent probably a little under $100 on wuwa so far and don’t regret it even a little (insider pass, astrite pass, and $50-$60 on Jinhsi weapon 😅). Other than Genshin which I’ve probably spend half a grand and don’t feel too good about it despite the spending being over a year old. Makes me feel like my money is being put to good use and for good reward and not just to be predatory towards me. At this point, I’d even be up for a 30 day pass of crystal solvents just because it’s good investment and I know Kurogames is a good company. Not to mention giving like 3 standard five star characters practically for free. I’m only missing Lingyang (which I’m okay with) AND you get a free five star weapon selector like oh my god. All of it made me WANT to support Kurogames with my money and I felt good doing it 😭
We're about to get another free 5 star (Xiangli Yao) in 1.2 and from what I've understood from players in PGR, the character won't be shit and Kuro usually does stuff like this
It's funny for me when I found some hoyo shills mocking wuwa for their 1.0 revenue (mobile) not as high as genshin's record, but they failed to understand that in order to get character and weapon constellations in genshin, THEY NEED TO SPEND WAY MORE MONEY (MORE PREDATORY/EXPENSIVE ESPECIALLY FOR WHALE) compared to wuwa 😂😂😂
@@botcchidotcchi HAHA EXACTLY the guaranteed weapon banner does decrease sales but that also means more people were willing to buy into it which means they’ll also be more willing in the future like I am 😭
I still remember the statement of Genshin: "We won't add endgame in genshin because we don't want our players to get burned out of playing". A few days after Wuthering waves launched, Genshin: we need to add more stamina, add second endgame, some qol and natlan Pokemons too 😂
Ikr, Genshin actually could add more endgame content. And end game content here doesn't have to be ridiculously hard but instead add more surprises and more modifiers (in sort add more fun into it). And Genshin actually already have that before. Remember that roguelike Childe's dungeon event? That's one. Hell, they can even add Theatre Mechanicus as permanent end game content and add more mechanic here and there and I'll be hapy (it's one of my favourite event of all time) They can even spread their end game content in each region too! More variety on end game content means more type of players that will be satisfied. Right now, only hardcore, grinder, and whaler that can (probably) Genshin's end game content, and somehow they still managed to pissed them off one way or another. Honestly I'm not feeling greeted by Genshin's content But wuwa Illusive Realm? Hell yeah! Finally DPS Baizhi 😆
@@nebuchadness annndd their 2nd end game is a huge plop to its playerbase, as unless youre a whale or a Day 1 player, you have almost no chance of clearing it.
@@lonemarkkingoftypos3722thats not true.... like my bf started playing in 2.1 and hes clearing all the content easy, and has already good teams like break ff and acheron. Also HSR has almost no powercreep, like even the first limited 5 star can clear the moc in 0 cycles, but well it seems that you dont even play it or you are too bad at it
@@apotatowithnorights i neant GI with their new Theatre endgame Edit: i also liked HSR there, heck it was the game i always played before Wuwa cane along and became my Genshin Replacement
The only thing keeping me with Genshin at this point in my attachment to the characters i hyperfixated on and the story (i have to see it through) but gameplay wise im so tired and have been for awhile. Wuwa has been a dream to play and excited for Kuro to polish the game even more as time goes by.
Just watch the story on RUclips. I stopped after I was forcing myself to logon for even 5 minutes. Thats just a chore at that point. Haven't touched any quests for 6 months. You aint gonna play the game forever, so the sooner you quit the less time you waste. Even if you are fours years in, that's better than 5-6 years in.

Regarding WuWa's story; sometimes I feel like it's kinda unfair to compare a game with 4 years of stories with 4 regions to a game that's freshly released. But sometimes I do feel like well, it's just opinion. I gotta hear more because some of them are great insight. Nonetheless, my gripe with Genshin's story is that they feed the Traveler's lore in small amounts for like, 4 years. Whereas in Wuthering Waves (spoiler alert for those who haven't finished Mt. Firmament arc) the sentinel first calls you Lord/Lady Arbiter, which is a huge deal, and then not long they explain to you that YOU are their master! Boom! Mystery of our past, solved! Just like that.
What makes that point better is that it actually makes us even more invested in Rover's past because if they are Jue's former master and the founder of Jinzhou, that means they must be really powerful and strong so... wtf happened? Why and how did they lose their memory? What happened to our time in the Black Shores? And so many other questions.
yes,,, and even after that big reveal there's still MORE to come for the lore. black shores, fractsidus, and we havent even met calcharo and ghost hounds!! the fast reveal in the first patch update makes it much more engaging for me and actually have something to look forward to bc i love lore,,,
mostly i dont compare but as wuwa show i only feel genshin feel like it has not really improvement... compare a game 4 year ago is unfair but when was last time genshin really add a good user experience for end game user...
the first few acts is kinda mehh for me, but the later ones though also the story quests is great it actually focuses on the character instead of some random ahh npc's🤣🤣
Yeah, my little sister tried wuwa with me, got jiyan within like 30 pulls, then decided to go back to genshin cause combat was a bit too hard for her lol
my breaking points at Genshin after playing Wuwa are the Dailies and Event strucutres. how Genshin's Dailies was such a chore to do, either the monotonous objectives or unskippable yappers NPCs. After the 2nd year, events consist of only minigames/party games that doesn't justify the amount of times you have spent building characters and the most irritating thing is you have to sit through a 10-30 minutes of scenario with NPCs that we'll never see again just to start any event. Also on how every few events there will always be Itto featured, like they have a lot of characters and somehow they could only afford itto every single time? Itto's appearance on the Chasm also doesn't even make any sense, whether he existed or not nothing changes the flow of the story, he's only there to bloat the story
yeah i noticed genshin doesn’t respect my time as a player. It forces you to go through bloated unnecessary dialogs and daily comms was a chore. events are so FOMO-based lasting only 5-7 days. like why can’t events last as long as the entire update? sure, genshin introduced a “better” encounter points system and 200 resin now, but it’s too late now. i needed those changes YEARS ago. the ship has sailed. i’ve moved on with WuWa now.
I have had SO much luck on all my pulls in wuwa, and their generosity has blown me away. It's enough that I don't think I'll be spending any more money on characters in Genshin. I'm only still playing Genshin because I've invested so much time and money into it that it's not worth quitting. The traveling and combat are amazing. I agree. I don't understand people who defend multi-million/billion-dollar companies, they're wildly stupid. Wuwa has treated me better than Genshin has in 4 years.
Pgr with 100% rate up on debut with weapon banner always staying there at 80/20 rate. Also for Acheron, try checking out Alpha aka, Vergil’s daughter from pgr
19:05 gacha gamers seem to have a severe case of stockholm syndrome, lets not forget that all gachas are predatory money milking machines, you shouldn't feel bad receiving rewards from them. Even f2p contributes to the game's success simply by playing the game because you're participating in their eco system, whales don't want to swim in an empty ocean with no fishes. The loyalty & goodwill the game bought will come back to benefit it in the long run.

i still like genshin but ever since i tried wuwa i find it a drag to play genshin, mostly bc of the movement and lack of QoL features. it feels so slow and annoying to move in that game, especially since now when we have something to compare it to. that said, as far as story goes i think wuwa needs some time to develop. i don't think it's fair to compare stories that have been out for years with so many characters and development in comparison to a newly released game where we've barely scratched the surface of the story and the characters. i think wuwa's 1.0 story had poor storytelling and was overall pretty mediocre for the most part but 1.1 was a major improvement in my opinion and made me way more excited for the future story. that doesn't mean that wuwa's story will be better than genshin's but it's too early to compare them. i like genshin's story but for me i wasn't really hooked on its story until way later, i didn't think genshin 1.0 was that amazing of a story either personally.
@@ugh5281 completely agree with everything you said, I loved 1.1 as it was a huge improvement from before and they aren’t really comparable since genshin and hsr have been out so long while wuwa has only been out for around 2 months. And I also agree on the lack of movement and qol features, I love genshins elemental reactions mechanic more then any other game but with the movement, dodge, jump and stamina being so slow it makes it feel frustrating having to traverse after playing wuwa. I’m confident hoyo won’t change anything cause it’s hoyo but if they were to take some notes from wuwas exploration and traversal and apply them to genshin im sure I and many others would come back and play more often
Yea dude it’s sad because they rewrote almost all of it because some of the cn CBT testers didn’t like how the npcs treated them. Like watch the cbt2 crownless fight and you’ll see what I mean
@@echo3568 the crownless fight in cbt1 was cool but tbf the cbt1 story was not good either. the majority of beta testers complained about the story, even globally, not just in CN. it wasn't just about the MC being treated poorly, a lot of people complained about the story so they made the decision to re-write it. granted, they didn't need to do a 180 and make everyone love the MC instead, they could've tried to find a middleground. i think 1.0 suffers from the re-write bc they had already so much stuff ready so i can imagine it being hard for them trying to navigate it. there is a noticeable jump in story quality from 1.0 to 1.1 though which is a good sign.
@@ugh5281 Thats a good point and the middle ground thing would be really good since it would make us more confident about our allegiances since scar himself points out “hey don’t you think it’s weird how nice everyone is Being towards a stranger? Almost like they’re using you😁”
@@ugh5281 tbh it makes sense from a storytelling perspective for the MC to be treated poorly because they are an outsider but this could have made a compelling story narrative. I wished they cooked with this instead of changing it.
since the first time i play genshin, I've already seen it flaws and how hoyo treat their playerbase... it's frustrating..i feel like I'm doing too much for a lil reward i can get... exploration is a chore if u don't have the "units for exploration" and u can't do anything about it since genshin is the only game that has that lvl of gaming experience on mobile at that time...and then wuwa came up... it's like being free from abusive relationship after playing that game...
If I would treat a game a Character Simulator. I would probably spend money on Wuthering Wave to get characters than in Genshin, because if you haven't play this game, it can literally guarantee you a character per month and enjoy constellation/sequence, not to mention, every character has a gacha animations, and some are incredibly cinematic like straight cut from a movie, skills are very pretty and not recycled, chest are very rewarding, events are very rewarding and quest are very rewarding, even LEVELING is very rewarding (it has material upgrade, free pulls, that is very very important for high Union Level) This game has a killing time (it's your choice) unlike Genshin that you have no reason to stay for long unless there's a story quest. Wuthering wave might be grindy, but you are grinding for future characters for free and it feels very satisfying to roam around the map because how diverge the scenery was. In Genshin, I know the areas are pretty but after some world quest, there's no reason for us to go back there. Plus they made echoe exploration friendly, we don't need to pull a character like Wanderer to make exploration faster, in Wuthering wave, they introduced this Rider that you can use to roam around the map faster, it feels so good. Let's talk about enemies, in Wuthering wave, they made justice in co-op, because I love farming with my freinds, I love killing red enemies with my friend, I love how we exploit bosses. Let's talk about end game, so uhmm yeah like in HSR, Wuthering wave introduced Illusive realm, but the difference is F2P literally can clear it seamlessly, they let player use the limited characters that you don't have. I am not quitting Genshin, but the only reason why I play Genshin is the story but I will never ever use my Money in Genshin ever again. I want to help Kuro, because they listened first day, they read my feedbacks they didn't reply, but.... they release patches wirh patchnote and I CAN SEE my suggestion included in the list. How amazing this hame was. If you're gonna whale, this game is a better choice, it feels very rewarding it doesn't a scam.
something i've seen people talk about, is the character designs/models. I seen people (including myself) love the designs of the characters, and some people criticize the designs for being too monochrome. which they have right to their opinion, imo I think the designs fit perfectly since this takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. (And also have they never played any other game that’s not brightly colored before?) And about the models, I just love love love the different models they use for each character. kuro don’t just simply recycle the same model. encore doesn’t look the same to lingyang, calcharo having a different nose shape compared to jiyan(in the game), and some of the characters have different heights to them. Though I think that some of the girls have same face syndrome Idk, I could be wrong. Regardless, I hope that kuro could do more body diversity with both the masc and fem characters in the future, especially for fem char’s. TLDR: i’m an artist, and I love the character designs in this goddamn game you can fight me.
That's so harsh but so relatable. Genshin as a F2P game has... or had its heights, WuWa feels very refreshing though and the real difference maker shall be the devs going forward.
Arlecchino and her domain released in April 24, and i've been farming her artifacts ever since. How many useable pieces have i gotten? one. Echo farming has it's own issues but it is significantly less punishing with the substats. And yes, the movement. I got Nilou today and walking from the tp to the boss for her mats took way too long. If you don't have characters for movement (or momentarily just don't want to use them), you will have a bad time.
22:27 Dude this is exactly what I was thinking! I’ve been playing Genshin for years as a F2P and I have a decent collection of 5 star characters (around 12-13), but the supports was what drained me. I love the whole elemental reaction aspect and mechanic, because it adds strategy and variety to the game, but this system itself makes it so you NEED more characters. But just as you said, you only get new characters like every three months, which is INSANELY SLOW! And I've been F2P my whole gacha career! Not to mention the chore-like grinding you have to do to build these said supports
I tried to play genshin after a while in wuwa, I opened a chest at the top of mountain in Liyue. I glide down without collecting the loot 😴🤣🤣 and of course, I didn't climb the mountain again 🤣
I tried to go back to genshin after a month of wuwa. when I jumped off a cliff and realized I had no way to kill the momentum I fell to my death. haven't launched genshin ever since. 🙃
The whales spent thousands of dollars thinking that genshin is going to be the one and only big gacha game and they don't want the game to be too generous because they like feeling better than f2p.
Theres only 2 things that happen when a genshin player (including me) tries wuthering waves Either they fall in love with all the qol, combat and cenematics, Or they just can't digest eating cake after being fed shit
Ah, that makes sense. I thought my issues were related to the crappy intro story (which they re-wrote in 3 months because of CN pressure), horrible voice-acting (because they forced Brits to sound American), stuttery graphics (because they released it before they finished optimizing it) and most objects not rendering until you are right on top of them.
@RexLapis-yn7pe that's device issue. Never faced those stutter and render issues on my laptop. You can't expect to run a game that uses a more advance engine (ue4) to an old device, it's just common sense
Problem was fixed by hotfixes. I changed nothing on my PC but now the game runs as smooth as all my other games. I know it's tempting to bark at things that upset you, so I won't hold it against you. ;)
@@RexLapis-yn7pe the story wasn't bad it just wasn't you taste. The VA needs improvement but the rest is device issues. Even genshin had them worse when it was released
@@wk-dm7rz Ummm... Is this customer support? Hahaha Dude. Yes, the intro story was terrible. Not about my taste, do a poll, 95% of people think the intro story is TOTAL TRASH. Also, stop blaming "device issues" it's optimization issues. Learn about game development before trying to explain things to people.
I would lowkey disagree. While yes HSR is great, I feel like the planning and lore in Genshin's story is better by a level or 2. The story is focused on the twins (the overarching plot) and the arcs per region are interesting as well. In comparison, HSR is focused on stories of other characters rather than the MC. Which mean we lose a personal connection with Caelus/Stelle just cause they don't really have a goal. In genshin we have: A windswept friend who was corrupted A god trying to see if his people can defend themselves a civil war due to a differing philosophy on what it means to be eternal An imprisoned goddess and an endless dream to get forbidden knowledge a perfectly normal human acting for 500 years to save her people. (And this is ignoring archon quests between regions like dainsleif and the chasm) whereas in hsr we have: A dying civilization fighting for survival on a planet where 90% is covered in ice I don't even know what happened in Luofu.... And a banger arc in Penacony about Order and Harmony. To be perfectly controlled or have the friedom to choose. Close your eyes or wake up and face the music. While the overarching plot is better in genshin due to 4 years of experience, take away sumeru and fontaine and i'll agree that HSR is better by a bit but only because Penacony and Jarilo VI was that good. Aside from the overarching plot we also have world building. In this aspect genshin just takes the cake. No question asked. Some of the world quests are really interesting. And I don't even mean newer ones with mary-ann in fontaine but stuff like the primordial one or astaroth that we've seen in enkanomiya. HSR is pretty limited when it comes to world building due to its semi open world nature.
genshins story is only good in cutscenes, hsrs story is only good when it finally stops forcing you to do random side quests and can actually have plot happen instead of chars reciting entire books of history at each other. hsrs writing is good, genshins writing can be amazing or horrendous. personally I think of the quality as equal. I hate paimon yapping in genshin but hsrs almost as much dialogue now with half the story runtime which is a problem on its own. I hate playing both but I like watching someone else play through them because it feels way less tedious, personally. think it comes down to personal preference to most, genshin excels at the fantasy hype more whereas hsr excels at character writing but is bad at pacing, imo.
@@CarrotSpunk. it is kinda limiting. That doesn’t mean you can’t do a fantastic job. But tbh i’m more engaged with genshin’s world than in Hsr because I can legit walk towards these places and inspect them from up close. It’s rather difficult to get the same thing from hsr. Sure that was mostly immersion but that’s part of word building too. In books you have descriptions. In open world games you have exploration and in semi open world VN style storytelling you mostly have character engagement. Because let’s be real how many people do you think will ever read the walls of text hidden in item descriptions? Hardly anyone does that in both genshin and hsr. But let’s say we ignore the medium and focus on lore itself. I think genshin is still better due to its simplicity and actual engagement with the lore. HSR doesn’t do a good job of focusing on its main aspect. The path’s. I mean you literally have different planets and space stations and stuff going around. It’s difficult to truly focus and expand on something with so many other worlds needing a history of its own. The simple fact that genshin is a medieval fantasy makes it loads better to digest that one world’s intricacies than say… star wars’ billion different planets. TLDR: Genshin lore stacks and HSR lore segments.
@@arrexu01 It's all up to personal tastes let's be real here and that's fine that's your opinion but I like the lore and world building of Hsr than I do with Genshin. In my personal opinion I also kind of agree the world building in Hsr was kind of struggling in the first two planets but I wouldn't entirely say that the world building is all that limiting in perspective especially the concepts of Aeons and Paths they even explored in-depth on how paths can affect a person's way of living as with Acheron her Path can literally eat a person alive and remove them from existence. The concept of extremists and worshippers of Aeons some noticeable examples of this is the IPC and their extreme devotion to the Amber Lord and how far they would go their methods of doing so is pretty messed up. Aeons destroying planets this was shown and time and time again that Aeons are a real threat in the Hsr universe and their Emanators are even worse. The possibility of Aeons ascending to Godhood and is it possible to kill one? Yes we can if an Aeon can do it so can we. They even show that Aeons can interact with each other and I can go on about this I don't think the world building is half in my personal opinion it had a rocky start too like Genshin but it's not a bad thing either. I think it's up to personal tastes as you said not everyone is going to read a wall of text and prefers interacting with the world. Most of these World buildings are in wall of text in game but HSR isn't like genshin. It's limiting but I don't like the big open world aspect of Genshin I like my unlimited stamina here 😂 Aether is Cealus' Dad that's crazy!? Who's the mom *Googles it* Ayo tf 💀
Genshin as a game is too big to change, like how league of legends can't change its spaghetti codes. If they do try, that means they are better off making a new game at this point because they have to ensure player's accounts that are worth more than +$1000 are compensated if anything goes south. Imagine trying to fix the bugs that come with +160 characters and +1600 skin interactions every patch.
Honestly, the biggest "change" I want is simply a decent anniversary. Three years and still the same 20 wishes year after year is pretty ridiculous for how successful the game is and how much money they made. That's not even touching the other issues. The poor weapon banner, lack of event reruns to generate FOMO, no updates to the limited banner, locking key traversal QoL abilities to at least characters, and just a general feeling of lack of appreciation for the people that made the game so big in the first place. I feel that with Wuwa, so for now, that's the game that gets my money.
Honestly this is Sims 4 for me too, they keep giving us scraps and the loyalist still give them money. I can’t wait for the upcoming competition and see if they will actually try now 😂

It's like people never played any other games than genshin and wuwa. I play gensin but before genshin I played open world rpg's, during genshin I played open world rpgs and I will keep playing open world rpg's. Expedition 33 and Black myth Wukong or next on my list. Still playing FF7: Rebirth and elde ring dlc now. What I am saying is, I am just to playing better games than genshin. They didn't ruin my time playing genshin.
you gonna play gachas that aren't hoyo, Genshin and ZZZ is some of the least generous gachas. In terms of story genshin gets beat by BA, GFL and Limbus (of the ones i've played).
Genshin story is the gacha holy grail For people who have never played another gacha game's story before Punishing Gray Raven story wipes OUT EVERYTHING I have ever experienced in Genshin
I stopped genshin exploration when sumeru release, now i want to continue exploration to collect chest for natlan character but guess what, i cant just do it anymore. Exploration feel fucking slow in genshin.
all the fire around genshin really re-opened my eyes to the criticisms I used to get downvoted to oblivion for in genshin, but I still play both games and enjoy them both to this day tbh
16:17 same as me, i was already satisfied with HSR and i wasnt planning on playing, alas i did and wowee, did it became a fave of mine quickly, only downside for me is my laptop cant handle it, and phone only handles at very low settings and still gets laggy at times the more visual Effects there are (tacet fields for example). Otherwise id be having a great time playing it almost everytime i have the chance (afterall time management).
Story was good but like the musiccc I CANNOT GET THE ALMIGHTY VIOLET THUNDER THEME out of my mind when I'm doing anything intense like crying out loud with that meptis hologram
3 years Genshin player here and I got back to Genshin to get summer event primos. I just logged out. It all feels too slow now. I thought i could just log in for Abyss and Theater reset for rewards. Now i'm completely dropping Genshin. If they implement dialogue skip, I will comeback.
I've been playing genshin almost from it's release and I can say with certainty that there're only 2 things that stop me from quitting: the story, and one specific character that might or might not become playable in a year or more
@@sukanasuke88 who was it then? Though I have to agree with the person above sorry, the lore in genshin seem to have a leading at first but then gotten into a haywire later on which confused me on what we're even doing atm
My friend quit Wuwa and went back to genshin because of the color theme of the game, he prefers the bright colors of genshin. I guess it's KINDA valid?
The amount of crap the devs have gotten from genshin loyalists is INSANE. The company of genshin and the community pushed me away, it’s like they see ANY other gacha game as a threat to them. They point out the tiniest glitches in wuwa and go “haha LQ game! See? SEE??!” When it’s still a VERY NEW game, and they’re not even game breaking glitches, then you point out the insane amount of glitches genshin has and they get mad, a lot of them are hypocritical. I used to really love genshin’s community, but it’s become extremely toxic. Say anything about genshin that isn’t amazing and they get upset.. Of course not everyone in the community is like that, every community has people like that, including WUWA but it’s just really bad in genshin. We should all just play what WE enjoy, and not put companies on a god like untouchable pedestal. Let’s all just have fun. Dear non toxic genshin fans, we love you and we need more of you! Enjoy your game💕
You should see the other side of that, wuthering waves fans spend 90 percent of the time trashing genshin and saying it's a genshin killer, even the play store every review of wuthering waves mentions genshin, the Reddit mentions genshin, then you wonder why genshin fans are coming for wuthering wave fandom, they started that mess, genshins Reddit doesn't even acknowledge Wuwu, you guys have genshin living rent free in your heads.
@@michealrosen Hi hello I’m so sorry I didn’t see your comment earlier. I don’t think either side fully started it. I think it was mutual, there were fans on each side, as from what I’ve seen genshin fans started it, from what you’ve seen wuwa fans started it. My point still stands. Each game is great in their own right. And I didn’t start anything, personally. I still play genshin, less now though. It feels like a drag for me now compared to WUWA. All my wuthering waves friends never talk about genshin in a bad light at all. However my genshin friends.. constantly talking about wuwa. So I could say what you said and flip the side, and it would still technically be right, It depends where you’re looking. Each side is equally bad, both can be worse depending which part you’ve seen. I personally stay away from the genshin community now however. Genshin does not live rent free in my head LMAOOO, both are fun. I enjoy it. However for quite awhile I stopped playing(Genshin), due to the community and the company running it. I recommend just not trashing any game, regardless of the fandom, as they’re both wonderful in their own right. Personally I enjoy WUWA more, if you like genshin more thats great! i hope you always have fun with it. At the end of the day, games are for fun. Let’s all just have fun! Have a good week!
the only attachment I've got for genshin is the main story and most characters, not much after that even though I've played for over 2 years,, gameplay felt more like a chore at some points and with how badly they're handling natlan it just gives me more reason to look forward to other games (duet night abyss ^_^)
I didn't play genshin frequently, but i feel genshin traveling, doing side quest and daily quest is quiet exhausting, i even only play main story of genshin because only that part i interested to. And when my AR doesn't meet minimum requirements for continuing the story, i stopped playing for about 1-2 weeks until i wanna play it again. It's different case with WuWa, i don't feel exhausted doing that task (mainly because of traveling mechanic) and when i found enemy, it's feels satisfying because of combat.
Dude even the story quest npc's have more expressions and uniqueness on their designs and how every character is expressive and rover speaks too lol its just much more immersive than genshin its like watching an anime really , genshins story is so good but I wish they would put more effort into the story telling.
So agree with you about feel free while playing WW. I never feel stuck anywhere the whole 2 weeks playing WW and still very into play it. As in another games, stuck after like 3 4 days.
My number one reason i prefer wuwa is contrast n color vibrant. Like since 1.0 i always hate how colorful the world is which literally hurt my eyes and the contrast? The lowest contrast still hurt my eyes. The moment i make adjustment to those 2 things, the other game looks pitch black n it shows how bad genshin hurting our eyes
Also I'd like to mention I had quit Genshin around 1.5 years ago and after spending a few 100s I will not deny it. But it died fast for me I don't regret spending or playing Genshin but I realized me complaining about a game that was meant to played in a chill manner without endgame wasn't Hoyos fault it's meant to be played this way and that it was more of a me problem. And WW just checked all my boxes, I even tried ZZZ and it was child's play so WW deleted 2 games for me and I'm happy the best reward for me is it's existence not what Kuro gifts.
The fact that you can climb on walls, unlimited stamina when sprinting and having a skip button makes exploration super fun in this game. Not locking behind level Echo farming, it's a blessing for me and the game respects my time. Makes me wanna quit genshin even more and showing how Kuro is super generous to us makes me love the game even more.
I'm glad people are finally realizing what veteran genshin players have been saying since like... 2 years ago? well better late than never, but it's good that they finally play something other gachas than genshin to see what it's like to actually be treated well
The optimization issue, graphical stutter and the random FPS drop... yeah, that's pretty much my only gripe with Wuthering Waves because the rest of the game is oh, *chef's kiss. Look, my phone is not some potato, (samsung s23) and i get random fps drops in medium 60 fps setting. And it's not always this way. In 1.0 release, i could get consistent 60 fps with the high graphical setting. Maybe we'll simply have to wait for kuro to further optimize the game to more devices.
genshin for me is a grind, while for only weeks i build my first 5 star character jinshi decently. while i have qiqi 5 star for months playing genshin and still havent fully built her
Tbh i was super hyped for wuwa but my hype has died down and its a good game but i still like genshin more, i do love the combat mechanics in wuwa though
You’re not wrong, I mean no one would feel more happy, satisfied and rewarding with a game for getting less and not able to get the characters that they wanted. The game being more generous is more beneficial to the game and players themselves, cause then the players would wanted to spend more time playing it, having fun with the characters that they love, and not feeling bored so easy, etc. also, WuWa got a lot of challenges ( like those red name lv 120 monsters, many people are trying to challenge themselves by trying to beat those lv120 monsters with a single character)
People who think Genshin is better than wuwa either: 1 - Their device is too bad to play WuWa so they cope and try to spread the cope on others, that Genshin is better anyways. It's a psychological reaction so they don't feel as bad that they can't play this game, very common 2 - Are too invested into Genshin time wise and/or money wise. They don't want to move to WuWa because they would lose their "investment" and also don't want other people to move to WuWa because if everybody else moved to wuwa, their "investment" would be lose it's "value" since good account in a dead game is worthless both scenarios apply to a lot of different fields in life and are very common, so its only expected that they will apply here too. you can't really be mad at those people, they are deceived by their own subconsciousness
I was genshin fan but when i first played wuwa for 2h and tried jiyan i knew it could surpass genshin and i was not wrong it end up becoming better then genshin what's more impressive is that it's just released few months ago everything about this game is better then genshin expect story i still like some character and story from genshin but character design, the details in characters design, advance combat style, better attack, skill and burst animation exploration and some quality of life changes it's all way better then genshin the most important part is when arlecchino came I saved 160+ pulls i already had guarenteed+ 70 pity on character i got her but i lost 50/50 on weapon banner 2 times hoyo is playing with f2p real bad
Genshin became so arrogant of the fact that no one has dared challenge them in the past 4 years, and this is why I have been wanting for a new game like Wuwa to challenge the norm, and to prove to Hoyo that you can be profitable whilst being generous to their (loyal) playerbase.
I kind of have the opposite conclusion of you, as in which game I personally enjoy and which game I'm dropping, but I do agree with a lot of your points, esp for combat experience. I think you did a pretty good job of not being super biased as well. For me Wuwa was fun at first. But after doing all the quests in 1.0, and playing thru 1.1, I just don't feel attached to the world or story. Also I agree with you that the argument of "getting more rewards" is bad is kind of dumb. I think part of it has merit, in that giving too much can make rewards feel less rewards, but I don't think Kuro gives anywhere near enough for that to become a problem. But I also personally never had that much of a problem with the amount of primos we get in Genshin. And I don't think me or any of my other f2p players enjoy the game less than my friends that are dolphins or whales. Some of my friends play FGO, and one of them haven't gotten a 5 star char in over 300 pulls xD. In fact I feel like the whale and dolphin players tend to be the ones that play the game the least, and tend to be ones that are more likely to drop the game among my friends. So I don't really agree with your point about getting more char=enjoying the game more. I think that type of enjoyment is very temporary and fickle. I myself have never been tempted to spend in genshin other than the occasional welkin, and I'm a day 1 player. I think playing the game like that is more for people that primarily care about the chars over the exploration, story, or anything else in the game. But since Wuwa does well on the chars and their gameplay I can see why many of their players prefer that. But for me personally even though I like the chars and gameplay just as much as anyone else it wasn't enough to cover what Wuwa lacks in other areas
My only problem with wuwa as of right now is that the world doesnt feel well built as of right now For example, most characters dont exist in game beyond their islands (quests), we never seen most of their roles in the world. The bosses themselves dont appear in most of quests making them feel disconnected from the world. We only had a brief encounter with the crownless and even that was nerfed to the ground stripping his entire identity. Whenever game mentions lament we never really saw anything related to it. I mean its supposed to be an apocalypse of horrific creatures taking over the world Pacific rim style. While in reality we only really see the aftermath and people talk about how bad it was. I realise it's mostly because of the chinese beta testers who complained and wanted characters to simp for them and let them break free and either explore or grind faster, but i cant help it but for me, those changes made the world feel more hollow this way by removing so much of the content from CBT
I think I just figured out i’m the type of player that enjoys games for the story and music more so than for combat and grinding. Like if I’m going to dedicate my time to grind every day, I gotta to have something to look forward to. Not just for rewards, I’ve bought many dlc games not to get rewards. I wanna feel excited for the next updates but to be honest, I don’t feel any connections yet for the characters or the story to play everyday. WuWa is alright but I deleted after finishing the main story. It might still be in its introduction phase before it gets really good. Idk but I still hope WuWu gets better.
I can run Wuthering Waves smoothly at medium/high graphic on my below-minimum-requirement PC, but can't run Genshin on the same PC without a drop in FPS every now and then.

HIS FUCKING WEAPON THAT I DON'T NEED SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANY FIVE STAR OR ANY GOOD CLAYMORE USER. Thats when i decided to stop so basically genshin has terrible pull rates and never bothered to touch the game ever since.
What I really want for WuWa is controller compatibility for mobile or a PS5 port... I'm not going to buy a gaming PC just to max out my enjoyment... but playing on mobile is holding back my enjoyment a little.
i'm at peace with wuwa because I can skip the dialogues lol so i can just take my time playing and exploring the world cause i dont have to listen to all the NPCs i dont care about and also I can finish the events without feeling stressed that I'm missing out on the astrites
I think people confuse what makes a game better and what makes a game unique, for example, you can grapple in Wuwa but you can't in genshin, thats what makes Wuwa unique not better
Grappling makes exploration easier and more fun. Wuwa is far better in movement and exploration, the only thing its inferior at in that regard is swimming, and even then its only better in Fontaine.
For me wuthering waves its just genshin impact run of wall and having combo is cool compared to genshin impact but no amazing i don't need to love a game for me i prefer genshin impact beacause it have better music better main quest all game 1.0 compared and i prefer the region of genshin but wuthering waves is cool for me just for the echo
Considering how i fell in love with pgr the first time i played it, wuwa have been very pleasing to play honestly. Wuwa killed the hoyoverse curse in open world games. When i played zzz, i compared it to pgr and zzz looks like a money maker with its stale gameplay.
I showed up to WW for another exploration game to wipe the map of stuff and the story was appealing. Yet the combat kept me around, it is way better. I am still playing genshin but really onlt for story beats and clear the map of stuff. The combat did not evolve enough, yet from what i heard that seems to be harder than i think it ahould be. Yet still, genshin has the element reaction systm which is baller and great. But ouraide of that there i no good dodge feel and combat. So, I will mainly roll with WW as it just feel better to play. Genshin i will finish out due to sunk cost fallacy and story.
about the optimization, Yes its facts WuWa is new and its graphically intensive and can lag phones or crash them. remember Kuro Games is not a billion dollar company. Mihoyo can make work arounds and has lots of people to do it.
And I agree with your comments on how stingy Genshin is by comparison. In Genshin you need to grind for 28,800 primos or 180 wishes to guarantee ONE limited 5* character. That takes like 3 MONTHS if you're F2P. Even if you buy the welkin moons - that's still 9 MONTHS of welkins (which cost like $63 CAD) assuming you do nothing else. And you get fewer primos from chests too. I've been playing for 2.5 years and I have most but certainly not all the characters. I won't even get into weapon banners. The gacha economy is too tightly tuned. It's like Hoyo is afraid that if could get the characters we want we would stop playing. I almost stopped playing because it was too hard to get who I wanted. Meanwhile in WuWa... I have literally all the characters (some are S5 and S6 already) except Changli... and it's only been 2 months. I have only bought the two battle passes and only two weeks ago bought the lunite pass (total is like $33 CAD). I haven't even found all the loot yet, which would probably yield another 10 convenes. But I almost never feel too broke to wish in WuWa. Plus you can target who you want, plus you get a 5* for free, plus the free 5* weapon, pity only goes 80, not 90... I could go on, but suffice to say WuWa's gacha is so much more generous and it shows in my roster.
Man weapons being guarantee feels good, it's not a scam anymore
@@zedeon6299 fr, I stopped going for weapons for characters in hoyo games when I lost my 75/25 for Acheron, knowing I’ll always get the weapon I want and it’s just whether or not I get it early is such a nice change now I’m always thinking of pulling for a characters weapon

“Kuro is being too generous” is honestly more of a compliment. Like who doesn’t like a lot of reward, it’s almost masochistic to use it against them
Dude I find it so hilarious when I see people use kuro game’s generousity as a way to downplay them game💀
Like I’ve seen these genshin guys say “you only play because kuro keeps baiting you back with more free stuff” yea and it works because the game is simply better

Nah cause with genshin I haven’t even gotten past most of the story but with wuthering waves I’ve done the entire story and eager for the next story parts
Exactly
and soon, I know you will let Genshin go. Currently I’m so close to quit Genshin because they add imaginarium.
Same is happening to me. I just don't enjoy it anymore now.
Unfortunately it was after playing wuwa and I left her at lvl 40 and haven’t logged in since
Bro spitting faxx
I logged in, pulled for Arlecchino and then quit.
"Wuwa might not kill Genshin but it definitely kill it for me"
- Me and so many other player it seems
I went back to GI to clear Abyss and the new end game content cuz although I main WW now I still havent quit GI but damn, despite playing GI since release and only about 2 months of Wuwa my muscle memory is basically overwritten by WW lol. I keep trying to do animation cancel, air dash/double jump, lock on, dodge counter, and so on XD
I still think the elemental system in Genshin is fkcn genius but goddamn the gameplay is so flat.
Same I wanted to support them, isn't that wonderfull, I even consider saving to buy the new pgr skin coming for Alpha and for the upcoming wuwa char
I still remember the statement of Genshin: "We won't add endgame in genshin because we don't want our players to get burned out of playing".
A few days after Wuthering waves launched,
Genshin: we need to add more stamina, add second endgame, some qol and natlan Pokemons too 😂
Ikr, Genshin actually could add more endgame content. And end game content here doesn't have to be ridiculously hard but instead add more surprises and more modifiers (in sort add more fun into it). And Genshin actually already have that before.
Remember that roguelike Childe's dungeon event? That's one. Hell, they can even add Theatre Mechanicus as permanent end game content and add more mechanic here and there and I'll be hapy (it's one of my favourite event of all time)
They can even spread their end game content in each region too!
More variety on end game content means more type of players that will be satisfied. Right now, only hardcore, grinder, and whaler that can (probably) Genshin's end game content, and somehow they still managed to pissed them off one way or another. Honestly I'm not feeling greeted by Genshin's content
But wuwa Illusive Realm? Hell yeah! Finally DPS Baizhi 😆
@@nebuchadness annndd their 2nd end game is a huge plop to its playerbase, as unless youre a whale or a Day 1 player, you have almost no chance of clearing it.

Just watch the story on RUclips. I stopped after I was forcing myself to logon for even 5 minutes. Thats just a chore at that point. Haven't touched any quests for 6 months. You aint gonna play the game forever, so the sooner you quit the less time you waste. Even if you are fours years in, that's better than 5-6 years in.

you have to see the story through? so you would subject yourself to another 5+ years? damm, it's not that worth it...
Besides the gameplay, when I saw the SKIP dialogue button. I instantly felt in love of Wuwa...
And so many other questions.
yes,,, and even after that big reveal there's still MORE to come for the lore. black shores, fractsidus, and we havent even met calcharo and ghost hounds!! the fast reveal in the first patch update makes it much more engaging for me and actually have something to look forward to bc i love lore,,,
mostly i dont compare but as wuwa show i only feel genshin feel like it has not really improvement... compare a game 4 year ago is unfair but when was last time genshin really add a good user experience for end game user...
the first few acts is kinda mehh for me, but the later ones though
also the story quests is great it actually focuses on the character instead of some random ahh npc's🤣🤣
Just remember that Kuro giving a fuck ton of rewards isn't going to fix skill issue xd

Hoyoverse ignore Itto's muscle and his appearance. They would never remake it.
@@TrexHydroidz1248 thats besides the point but yeah, I would probably liked Itto more if he wasnt such a scam
yeah i noticed genshin doesn’t respect my time as a player.
@@skyhart9926 just 200 Resin Maximum? why not 360 .... Damn still late.
Wuwa has treated me better than Genshin has in 4 years.

i still like genshin but ever since i tried wuwa i find it a drag to play genshin, mostly bc of the movement and lack of QoL features. it feels so slow and annoying to move in that game, especially since now when we have something to compare it to. that said, as far as story goes i think wuwa needs some time to develop. i don't think it's fair to compare stories that have been out for years with so many characters and development in comparison to a newly released game where we've barely scratched the surface of the story and the characters. i think wuwa's 1.0 story had poor storytelling and was overall pretty mediocre for the most part but 1.1 was a major improvement in my opinion and made me way more excited for the future story. that doesn't mean that wuwa's story will be better than genshin's but it's too early to compare them. i like genshin's story but for me i wasn't really hooked on its story until way later, i didn't think genshin 1.0 was that amazing of a story either personally.
I wished they cooked with this instead of changing it.
since the first time i play genshin, I've already seen it flaws and how hoyo treat their playerbase... it's frustrating..i feel like I'm doing too much for a lil reward i can get... exploration is a chore if u don't have the "units for exploration" and u can't do anything about it since genshin is the only game that has that lvl of gaming experience on mobile at that time...and then wuwa came up... it's like being free from abusive relationship after playing that game...
never signed up for ZZZ and barely play genshin now cause WuWa killed genshin for me and ZZZ is not my kind of game
I don’t hate genshin but I refuse to play until the ending is entertaining
This is valid.
If I would treat a game a Character Simulator. I would probably spend money on Wuthering Wave to get characters than in Genshin, because if you haven't play this game, it can literally guarantee you a character per month and enjoy constellation/sequence, not to mention, every character has a gacha animations, and some are incredibly cinematic like straight cut from a movie, skills are very pretty and not recycled, chest are very rewarding, events are very rewarding and quest are very rewarding, even LEVELING is very rewarding (it has material upgrade, free pulls, that is very very important for high Union Level)
This game has a killing time (it's your choice) unlike Genshin that you have no reason to stay for long unless there's a story quest.
(And also have they never played any other game that’s not brightly colored before?)
And about the models, I just love love love the different models they use for each character. kuro don’t just simply recycle the same model.
encore doesn’t look the same to lingyang, calcharo having a different nose shape compared to jiyan(in the game), and some of the characters have different heights to them.
As a day 1 genshit player.. im a happy refugee from that toxic relationship game…

I glide down without collecting the loot 😴🤣🤣
and of course, I didn't climb the mountain again 🤣
I tried to go back to genshin after a month of wuwa. when I jumped off a cliff and realized I had no way to kill the momentum I fell to my death. haven't launched genshin ever since. 🙃
The whales spent thousands of dollars thinking that genshin is going to be the one and only big gacha game and they don't want the game to be too generous because they like feeling better than f2p.
23:32 Look at you being a normal non-narcissistic person, unlike certain CCs out there. Great takes in the video
Theres only 2 things that happen when a genshin player (including me) tries wuthering waves
Either they fall in love with all the qol, combat and cenematics,
Or they just can't digest eating cake after being fed shit
Not about my taste, do a poll, 95% of people think the intro story is TOTAL TRASH. went back to genshin after playing wuwa for some time and tried to run on the walls 😭😭😭😭
Genshin story better than hsr? Huh? It might be on par if stupid paimon doesnt yap our ears off. As it is, nah hsr story is better imo.
In genshin we have:
A windswept friend who was corrupted
A god trying to see if his people can defend themselves
a civil war due to a differing philosophy on what it means to be eternal
An imprisoned goddess and an endless dream to get forbidden knowledge
a perfectly normal human acting for 500 years to save her people.
(And this is ignoring archon quests between regions like dainsleif and the chasm)
whereas in hsr we have:
A dying civilization fighting for survival on a planet where 90% is covered in ice
I don't even know what happened in Luofu....
@@arrexu01 Semi open world is not a limiting world building factor even games like Reverse 1999 that is not open world still has good world building.
It's limiting but I don't like the big open world aspect of Genshin I like my unlimited stamina here 😂
Aether is Cealus' Dad that's crazy!? Who's the mom *Googles it* Ayo tf 💀
Genshin as a game is too big to change, like how league of legends can't change its spaghetti codes. If they do try, that means they are better off making a new game at this point because they have to ensure player's accounts that are worth more than +$1000 are compensated if anything goes south. Imagine trying to fix the bugs that come with +160 characters and +1600 skin interactions every patch.
Thats a damn good point
Honestly, the biggest "change" I want is simply a decent anniversary. Three years and still the same 20 wishes year after year is pretty ridiculous for how successful the game is and how much money they made.
That's not even touching the other issues. The poor weapon banner, lack of event reruns to generate FOMO, no updates to the limited banner, locking key traversal QoL abilities to at least characters, and just a general feeling of lack of appreciation for the people that made the game so big in the first place.
I feel that with Wuwa, so for now, that's the game that gets my money.

I recommend just not trashing any game, regardless of the fandom, as they’re both wonderful in their own right. being Genshin Free for 2 years now, i quit because of no dialogue skip that forest quest in Sumeru was the final nail for me 😂
the only attachment I've got for genshin is the main story and most characters, not much after that even though I've played for over 2 years,, gameplay felt more like a chore at some points and with how badly they're handling natlan it just gives me more reason to look forward to other games (duet night abyss ^_^)
That one habit of smashing the attack button in genshin travelled to Wuthering Waves and it took me a while to stop that habit😅
I still play both but I'll whale on wuthering waves.
One of the best takes I came across. Subbed!
Good points. I've been doing Genshin dailies until Clorinde. Now it just feels like a drag.
clorinde's story quest was so underwhelming now sigewinne's will just sit in my game forever
I'm just thankful that Wuthering Waves exist. Thank you for the video.
Tbh after being so burned out of genshin after playing Wuwa for 3 months i finally feel good playing genshin again... idk why
2 years ago? well better late than never, but it's good that they finally play something other gachas than genshin to see what it's like to actually be treated well
Rewardds? Wait till You Hear Xiangi Yao Is the First Free Limted 5 star. You aint ready for Patch 1.2 bro
10:05 if you spot one you can walk a little far away until it respawn and shoot it with a gun from afar it's easier
Maybe we'll simply have to wait for kuro to further optimize the game to more devices.
genshin for me is a grind, while for only weeks i build my first 5 star character jinshi decently. while i have qiqi 5 star for months playing genshin and still havent fully built her
My fear is... Kuro will hook us in, then fall off with their generosity. I hope that will not be the case.
Tbh i was super hyped for wuwa but my hype has died down and its a good game but i still like genshin more, i do love the combat mechanics in wuwa though
as a danjin main, tempest mephis is my dog bcs shing shing parry dodge so ez
Me when going back to Genshin after WuWa:
Jump -> Press T -> Land on ground
....
Maximum disappointment
You’re not wrong, I mean no one would feel more happy, satisfied and rewarding with a game for getting less and not able to get the characters that they wanted. The game being more generous is more beneficial to the game and players themselves, cause then the players would wanted to spend more time playing it, having fun with the characters that they love, and not feeling bored so easy, etc. also, WuWa got a lot of challenges ( like those red name lv 120 monsters, many people are trying to challenge themselves by trying to beat those lv120 monsters with a single character)
The motion blur is making me sick, always turn that off on any game lol.
People who think Genshin is better than wuwa either:
1 - Their device is too bad to play WuWa so they cope and try to spread the cope on others, that Genshin is better anyways. It's a psychological reaction so they don't feel as bad that they can't play this game, very common
2 - Are too invested into Genshin time wise and/or money wise. They don't want to move to WuWa because they would lose their "investment" and also don't want other people to move to WuWa because if everybody else moved to wuwa, their "investment" would be lose it's "value" since good account in a dead game is worthless
both scenarios apply to a lot of different fields in life and are very common, so its only expected that they will apply here too. you can't really be mad at those people, they are deceived by their own subconsciousness
Everytime I climb a cliff i try to run in genshin
I was genshin fan but when i first played wuwa for 2h and tried jiyan i knew it could surpass genshin and i was not wrong it end up becoming better then genshin what's more impressive is that it's just released few months ago everything about this game is better then genshin expect story i still like some character and story from genshin but character design, the details in characters design, advance combat style, better attack, skill and burst animation exploration and some quality of life changes it's all way better then genshin the most important part is when arlecchino came I saved 160+ pulls i already had guarenteed+ 70 pity on character i got her but i lost 50/50 on weapon banner 2 times hoyo is playing with f2p real bad
itto with his stick arms D: so much potential lost. tbh
My only problem with wuwa as of right now is that the world doesnt feel well built as of right now
For example, most characters dont exist in game beyond their islands (quests), we never seen most of their roles in the world.
"quick video"
*is a whole anime episode long*
I think I just figured out i’m the type of player that enjoys games for the story and music more so than for combat and grinding.
To be honest the only thing that's preventing me from fully maining wuthering waves is how laggy it gets for my pc
You might need to lower some graphics. Try turning shadow details down and then go from there
Turn off dlss
@@terrencetang6684 dlss helps performance tho idk why would make the game laggy
@@kantokuu no game is cpu bound if ur gpu drop lead when u lag put more stress on ur gpu or put this on engine.ini

I never thought ill quit genshin in nearest future. But here i am, trying wuwa as a joke, and ended up quitting genshin impact.
Im a day one genshin and i remember grinding my ass just to get diluc since he was meta back then and when i pulled for 40-50 times(not exact number since its soo long ago i dont remember). I got golden shooting star my reaction was "yes finally i got him my first five star character this is diluc's banner btw not the weapon and guess what i got....
3:47 they probably got inspired by Malenia's 2nd phase from Elden Ring. (would)
What I really want for WuWa is controller compatibility for mobile or a PS5 port... I'm not going to buy a gaming PC just to max out my enjoyment... but playing on mobile is holding back my enjoyment a little.
I like wuwa not bc of generosity I just think the lore has potential and I like the darker vibe to it
if there was only one genshid hater in the whole universe, that person would be me ngl
i'm at peace with wuwa because I can skip the dialogues lol so i can just take my time playing and exploring the world cause i dont have to listen to all the NPCs i dont care about and also I can finish the events without feeling stressed that I'm missing out on the astrites
Me after playing wuwa went genshin and during commission I unconsciously tapping skip button and not mention the climbing 😅
When i played zzz, i compared it to pgr and zzz looks like a money maker with its stale gameplay.
wuwa is this good this early and its only gonna get better every patch
Your 40 ping is the most beautiful 😭
