This is a build form baltic birch plywood. It is to hold all of my cordless drills, impact drivers, and impact wrenches. I have quite a DeWalt collection built up and I need someplace to store it all conveniently.
I also built it to hold all of the screws that I use most frequently.
It will mount with a french cleat system on the wall of my woodworking shop.

Way to go Dad, include your daughter in the process. I'm a girl and I find building things way more fun than crafts...boring! She will be way ahead of the game when on her own thanks to her Dad. I worked on airplanes as a young girl beside my father and now in my retirement am having blast learning wood working. Having no fear of tools, these type of project are right up my alley and helping me to organize my shop. Thanks so much!

I recently found your channel and just clicked subscribe. It is indeed a pleasure to watch you work as you are a true craftsman of your trade. The video format is wonderful; please do not change a thing. You show enough but not too much and thank God for no annoying music to take away from the content. Those things plus the fact that you include your family in your work. I'm sure she is a great helper but, as a dad, I know that's not why you do it. Your daughter will look back at these after you have left here and the memories she has of working with her dad in your shop will forever remain priceless.

    Hello James:
I have been watching you for years and love seeing the girls in the shop. I just watch the drill station video and think I will make my the same way. I will need to change some measurements but I love the inclusion of the big containers of screws. Nice job and no pretense to make it anything except a shop jig. I like that

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! While we've been friends for a while, and I've always admired your work, I've recently (made the time and) started binge watching your videos. I'm in a (4 year) process of moving, building a new large shop(and house), and designing and organizing it. (In the planning stages now). Your design of the charging station is not only common sensical when it comes to accommodating everything I need (drill-wise etc), but it is the first design that I find attractive, practical and the perfect fit for my new shop. Thanks again James. My fan level of you and your channel just went up a few notches!

Nice build. I just put up a clear wall in the garage, and am considering replacing the pegboard in the basement shop with one too.. I will be basing a drill/driver cabinet off your ideas. Having 3 different battery systems will require some modifications, but your ideas are solid. Thanks for posting them.

Been looking for a storage cabinet for a long time, but all the ones I have seen leave a lot to be desired, in my book. Thank you for this video. I happen to have a couple of 4x8 sheets of Baltic Birch that will become as close to your cabinet as I can get them.

This may sound stupid, but it never occurred to me to angle the chargers downward for easier access to them. I'm glad that I haven't built it yet, so I can still make changes to my plan/drawing of the cabinet I want to make for my cordless tools and their batteries. I haven't decided to make a cabinet with a door or no door. Any suggestions? James, Thank you for another great tutorial! I hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!! ~Dolly

I built a subwoofer box out of 3/4" MDF. I used Liquid Nails in all of the corners and it made the box super strong. It was so strong that I couldn't break the box apart with a hammer, even with all of the screws removed.

I love the design. Your charger shelf is tilted at angle, which makes a little cavity behind it. I think the design might be further enhances to put another board level at the bottom of the charger shelf and then drill a hole through the charger shelf and side so all the excess cord could be place in the cavity. You could then mound a power strip on the outside of the cabinet. Thanks for your great channel!

I have 15 DeWalt drills, so using a shelving system like yours could pose an issue. They fit in the Kobalt cheapo tool box big drawer pretty well though. I find myself using mostly, my Milw... Surge, its really quiet. I think you made your shelf stronger than I make things, and that's really something. Looks like its really heavy! I like it though!
