I feel like a small Corgi strapped to his chest; I don't really know what's going on, but I like hanging out with this guy. And I wanted to eat that burrito.
Thanks for takeing us on the journey dude. Be cool to have an interview with the drummer on how important a tech is etc and what he looks for . Enjoy the holidays man.
Nothing beats your videos brother - the consistency, what feels like like the calm nature of being back on tour, I love these videos so much man. So much micro-knowledge & little bits of expert level teching I've taken away from only 5 months of watching your videos than I'd learnt by myself, teching for myself, for over 10 years! I really hope you continue these videos for many years to come for many others to find inspiration!
I’m a drummer working locally as a backline tech/patch/and stage hand. Really appreciate you doing this. Had a tour drum tech show me those snare weights. They do work really well.
As I sit in my cozy place in Redondo Beach California I recall the days of gigging. Had a blast going as far a did in the cut throat music industry . But watching your set up and break downs and how its really not a healthy workplace . So maybe I am better off not getting " There" But it is cool to be home with a brew and a joint see you doing work and reminding me how much fun it was . Thanks
Maaaann it definitely hits different when the ENTIRE kit gets taken down at the very end lol it warms me a lot but I enjoyed the ride through this journey 💯🤙🏾 I really did 🙌🏾 Thank you Matt for the experience 🙏🏾 P.S it was only right for one last time I had to the battle drum March and groove with you lol🔥🔥
man, your channel is amazing!!! What you show us is a great learning experience... You show us what it's like backstage, you show us the routine of a roadie (which is fun but a lot of work), and it's inspiring (at least for me), because I want to work with it. You're great! Hail to Brazil!
Man I love your videos. I recently had the opportunity to work in a big festival at my city and it was my first time at a show as big as it and I was in backstage like “Oh man this looks just like Matt’s videos” lol. Big inspiration, I try to learn as much as I can from your vids, hope you keep doing these in the next tours! Happy Holidays ma man!
It would be really cool if you did a “day in the life” during your rehearsal in’s and out’s! Most people don’t know the prep it takes for tours this big.
Absolutely love these videos from Matt. Been following him for years an dude really is a master of his craft, the fact that one of the best drummers of the generation like Holland has had time and time again as a drum tech shows a lot as well. Much love an respect an I hope his fame continues to grow and grow. Only saw him perform once the TWA an duck he played with a lot of heart.
when the soundcheck foh sound you get fed back into the stage sounds that killer you know something is absolutely on!!! omg those shells sound K I C K - A S S the whole kit just is a beauty! thanks for the video again matt 🖤🤘🔥
I was like, who do I know with a gold kit, an ultra hammered china, and an A mega bell? Then I heard the heel toe, and saw the shaved head. A Slaughter/FIR concert would have been so cool to go to. I look up to Evgeny so much, I even bought the same pedals he has so I can learn what he does.
Awesome video as always. Can't wait for the next tour, which is going to be massive with that headliner. That slaughter to prevail iem rig looks massive beside the drums. Even though I get it, everything I assume is connected to that rig. Would've have like to hear Luke's opinion on snare weight. Next tour quick release wing nuts, Tell dw to send you some! ps. I remember you said on past videos you didn't like neon gaffer...looking at the rig must have drove you crazy lol.
i was layin on couch just back from the room with the band, and i've red ''POV A Deley in the life of a drum tech'' ! lol you doin a great job on tour man, and you gave us many tricks to set up our own instruments to get ready for a tour!
I´m using Snareweight for quite some years because the tone and fatness of the drums stay alive! Always hated how Gels ruin and mute the sound to much. If I see these gels I get pissed off in some way haha. Happy you discovered this brand! Love the look and functionality of it!
Love those snareweight m-80s.. been using 1 for a few years now Man that kit sounds soo good even just through the camera.. i need to get different heads or something
It's like my meinl dream omg 😭 lso thank you for doing the most I love FIR still have the first ticket from there starting tour at the summit in Denver you do the most bro and you definitely deserve everything for this behind the scenes I truly hope my band cimbs close to this far and can have an amazing person like you as a tech thank you for thi content it's inspiring and amazing

Considering that the drummer is Luke Holland, he kinda started on RUclips, I wouldn't be surprised of him being down for that.

Loved the videos as always. Would love a little story time video of the crazier things that have happened while drum teching.
Excellent work as per 👏. Very dedicated and attention to detail. You are also a great drummer Matt.

Always amazing how easy the artists have it. The drummers already in the hotel or bus having a drink.
