Time Lord! I love that game! Super janky, but it's a ton of fun. It's like someone vaguely explained the concept of Doctor Who to an American developer in 5 words, and Time Lord is what they came up with. 😄
Loved the Saturday Morning Cartoon bumper at the end too!

Very good box! Anytime a boxed SMS game lands in a box it’s a good one! I have mad Nostalgia for Fester’s Quest but can totally understand how some folks dislike it. It doesn’t give any direction or objectives and can be difficult too. Great video Jay! 🤙🏼
That’s a fun box for sure. Blockout definitely looks addictive.
When I looked at Scott during the Time Lord intro when you were talking about knocking your cousin out with a wrestling buddy, my eyes silently ask “Is that what boys do?” And he confidently nodded yes.
Also I feel like I tried Fester Quest at some point and I didn’t dive back into it.
Defender looks fun. It would be something I know Scott would like more than me.

Hey! Blockout is indeed an interesting and fun game. I have not thought of it in years, but I enjoyed it a lot back in the day. Really makes you think in three dimensions, and lets the player rotate each piece along the x, y, and z axes.
Block out was a fun game. Played it a lot on PC.
3D and light phaser game. It's a fun game and nice that is uses both if you have the ability to play it.
I have Defnder for GC and haven't played it. Video makes it look like it may be something interesting to try.

Good box! I pulled NES Wrath of the Black Manta this month, which I had never heard of. The only reason it has left my NES is I had other pickups and birthday gift games to function test. A hidden gem if it isn't already...
Now this is a cool box. I would be happy getting this collection. Block out looks good. I have played something similar back in the day from a Tetris collection I had on PC. I have been curious about Timelord for a while but never bothered looking it up. Glad to hear you liked it. Pretty cool to see you pull Defender. My brother had a blast playing that one on the Game Cube.

Definitely recommend getting a CRT, I forgot how much I missed playing Duck Hunt until I got my CRTs.
But the real question is, did that calendar affect the cartridge games? Maybe that's why you think Fester's Quest is not great.

I did grow up with Defender, and I love it so. I have Defender for the GameCube (Defender For All Mankind is the full PAL title 🤷♂️) but haven't played it yet. I suppose I'll have to now 😉
And 3D Tetris! I can't cope with regular Tetris 🤣🤣
I assure you the minute of footage of Breakout was the only minute where I didn't look like a complete idiot playing the game. 😂

I feel your plight about missile defense 3D. I bought a copy of where in the world is Carmen sandiego on the Sega Master system not knowing that you had to have a Sega Master system controller that it's one of the five or so games on the Sega Master system that you can I use a Sega Genesis controller for. So it's going to just be sitting there. I was lucky enough though to be able to pick up a light phaser so I'm able to play Rambo 3 and gangster town on the Sega Master system those are pretty fun.
Nice pickups. One thing though, now I know the game is called "Time Lord" but I don't think it will actually let you control time, so not sure how you are going to beat this game in 2022? Jay at 6:02 in the video "This is going on my list of games that I want to beat in 2022." LOL LOL LOL
We do things a bit differently in Michigan. It's still 2022 here. :P
Time Lord for me I don't think I ever got the second stage but the game is cool the levels are cool the music is even better. Then again I pretty much suck at NES games but I still play them anyway. Usually it's a dark horse title you never hear about anyone having

FQ is one of those games that has all the makings of being a good game, just...doesn't live up to its potential.
SMS is always a win--actually, so too is GC, these feel like they're getting harder to find in the wild as well.

Meridith agrees on the hat - and so do I. It definitely feels more me than a standard ballcap, even if that's what I typically wear. :)
This whole box is a win to me - even Fester, which I don't personally love, is a win. A friend of mine messaged me and told me how much he loves that game, so he got a copy of it - 100% victory! :)
Decent NES titles and too bad you couldn't play the SMS game, I know you don't have a CRT/Light gun, but I thought the 3D was an optional thing. Never played the GC Defender game.
