Bro! Great video. We in the same city and same part of town. Thinking of getting the Kona or the elantra. I see you on Capital doing ya thang. Should meet up sometime..I DD a Explorer ST
Dumb question but does the exhaust smell pretty strong even being a catted down pipe? I’m about to purchase but I’m not sure if I’d like having the windows down smelling that strong fuel smell.
Is the kona white or is it that blue color they offer. It's always hard to tell in videos because the camera makes that light blue almost look white in the sunlight. Also downpipe made that thing sound even better than stock.
It is the sonic blue, it changes colors quite often on camera and in person lol. It goes from powder blue to primer gray to Crystal white 😂 But thanks, it definitely has a meaner growl to it now
I haven’t talked to them about it but they had no complaints. It doesn’t void the warranty unless it is found that the part caused the engine to malfunction, which is a very slim chance of that happening since the downpipe provides before performance and airflow over stock haha
@@DriverJ-N dang! Hopefully not that long but it is definitely worth the wait. I think I waited a while too for mine, but it was much more expensive than it is now
@Kona eNthusiast I'm glad you didn't! So I watched Patty Boi and he installed the SXTH Element DP in his EN and it took him 10 hrs, I wonder if the KN has more room🤔 Either way, what you paid is pretty damn fair IMO👍👍
Sounds great man! It is pricey, but I’m sure the extra horsepower makes it worth it. So you still haven’t upgraded to the Sonata fuel pump? And did you adjust anything in the JB4 or is it stillrunning one of their programmed tunes?
Nope, your dealer can’t deny warranty unless they can directly correlate the issue with the downpipe, which is near impossible since the downpipe improves exhaust flow
Shame it's easier and cheaper in the US to do. Similar setup is like 2300+ just for the downpipe with a sports cat here in Germany+ install. So easily 2600 total.
Man you almost hurt my feelings for a second 😅 I’ve driven the VN with the 6 speed and it’s just a totally different experience. The VN corners so freaking well, the KN is probably just as good in corners, but you don’t feel the weight of the veloster N
Sounds amazing! Just got my Kona N little bit back. Super pumped to see all these videos
Thanks! Welcome to the N family 🔥
the KN gettin spicccccy man, awesome vid!
Thanks bro 😎 Modding this car is starting to get addicting lol
man sxth element and RPM exhaust both brand is the best in the game.
Agreed!!
Any diffence betwen stock and upgrade
@@benoitgauthier7086 oh yeah, huge difference. The pops are a good bit louder and also the mid range is a lot stronger
Sounds sick bro!
@@RE-wf2hz thanks man 😎
Haha one of my boys got this done and it sounds sweet. Awesome video man!
Thanks! Yeah it has a really nice sound to it now

There’s no dumb questions haha You only smell the exhaust whenever doing pulls and your window is down
@@RobTheNthusiast Cool bro, I appreciate you 🙏🏼 You end up getting new turbo studs too?
@@FastKonaN no problem! Yeah I won’t with Titanium turbo studs
I'm trying to find out where I can get my 2017 Hyundai santa fe 2.0t ultimate tuned?
What were your performance gains?
With a tune, this downpipe should increase the power by 12-15 whp
That cold start was incredible bro
Thanks bro! It’s pretty loud
It sounds so good 🙌🏽
Thank you 🔥💪🏽

Seems to be worth the money. Could you add this to a aftermarket catback exhaust?
Oh yes! It’ll be insane loud then hahaha
Let’s go Canes!
Yes sir!! I need to get around to going to a playoff game
I heard u can feel the difference even without a tune
Yeah you definitely can, the mid range torque increases a lot with the downpipe
Hi mate! Did you talk to you hyundai dealer about this? Does the downpipe void the warranty?
I haven’t talked to them about it but they had no complaints. It doesn’t void the warranty unless it is found that the part caused the engine to malfunction, which is a very slim chance of that happening since the downpipe provides before performance and airflow over stock haha
Thank you for your fast response. Its good to hear that. Maybe I will take the step and order a catless downpipe.
@@Alex-ss4ry catless is a good option too, it’s just super loud haha. But make sure your area is cool with that for emissions
Catless will be stupid loud for sure. Cool with emissions? Its 100% illegal but who cares:))
It sounds so good!!
Thank you sir!
Your car spools a lot quicker than mine 🤔 then again I’m stock tune and Intake only but I definitely see that u spool quite a bit faster than me
Yeah that’s likely the responsiveness of the tune. Do you have a downpipe
@@RobTheNthusiast sxth is out of stock but I ordered one anyways just waiting for them to ship one which might be in January or February 😔
@@DriverJ-N dang! Hopefully not that long but it is definitely worth the wait. I think I waited a while too for mine, but it was much more expensive than it is now

I did not.

@@klasseact6663 yeah it took my shop 5 hours lol. I think the EN has more space in the engine bay than the KN
@Kona eNthusiast was it a perf shop or a muffler shop who did the work? I ask because in the Patty Boi video it looked like quite a job!
@@klasseact6663 it was an exhaust shop, I trusted them more than performance shop
how much did they charge you please ?
$270 to install

Thanks man, yeah it’s definitely worth it! I haven’t changed the fuel pump yet but I’m running Map 2 for now.
sounds insane
Thanks 🔥 It’s definitely pretty obnoxious at times lol

Wow, that’s crazy expensive lol
You need a Dyno day my friend.
Yeah for sure, I’m planning on doing it later this year
I thought it was on fire being in a Hyundai you can’t blame me… 😂😂😂
lol 😂 yeah that smoke was embarrassing. Glad it was just the coating
That sounds disgusting in all the right ways. If I wasn’t married to my Veloster N or manual transmission I would easily go for what you have. 👍🏾

@@44actual all good haha. I can honestly say aside from subie, Hyundai N division makes the best 4 cylinder noises out there
@@RobTheNthusiast I can agree with that. The N is the reason why I left the Subi camp.
