I got my JT used but already put in about 8,000 miles so it’s almost due for an oil change. Thanks for the breakdown. Now I know what to expect more or less.
Interesting and we get 3 free oil changes and tire rotations. Just picked up my wife’s new wrangler last night. Took a month to get here. No premium price added. This dealership said they are not doing that.
Will do my own rotation and oil after the free are used up.

The easiest vehicle out there to change your own oil. No jacking, just slide underneath. I had an old tire iron from a Dodge pickup that fits the plastic oil filter housing. 24 millimeter I believe. Autozone takes used oil.
I like doing my own oil change, plus any parts store excepts used oil! Plus i change my oil every 3 to 5000 miles and use mobile one smi synthetic. Do not need to use the hi priced oil because i change it often!
There is definitely some satisfaction in doing it yourself👍
Yes, it has its advantages taking your vehicle to the dealership. Be on the lookout for Mopar coupons. I bought a package last year that includes 3 Oil changes with synthetic oil+multipoint inspection+tire rotation for $99.00 and I can use it at any Jeep dealership. That is $33.33 per oil change and includes tire rotation. I have to use it within two years though. Even if you change your oil once a year for low mileage (like I do) is still a good value for two oil changes. This is a Mopar offer not a dealer one.

My 17 Willys cost me 45 bucks here in Maine for the same service, but mine uses 5w20, which Is cheaper than 0w20. So 65 bucks isn't that bad.
Did you get a notice on the Gladiator instrument cluster advising service was due? I remember hearing 10,000 mile service interval. I did do my first at 3.000. What did the service advisor say. The Jeep oil change is the easiest and cleanest I have ever done. Lots of space underneath and easy access to the oil filter from above. I will take it in for the next one.
No notification for me. My truck has under 5K miles though. The next change I’ll do myself👍
Doesn’t sound like a horrible price if for sure you’re getting synthetic like they say, check the oil, because every time we have it done on our 3.6 they always put too much in it’s supposed to hold 6 quarts I think!!

A mobile 1 full synthetic oil change just cost me $53 with the filter. Mine gobbled up 5 qts and barely touched the stick, another half qt did the trick. Double check and make sure you're not low.

@@robmotiveplus looks like they billed him for 6 quarts. The 3.6 pentastar in my 200 takes 6 quarts.. dont know why the gladiator would be less.
I change my own oil. I don't care if the first oil changes are free. They screw things up! Just noticed my back window is leaking.

That’s pretty much about the same price here in Canada in the dealership and independent garage.and that an oil change only. I sometimes find it funny and I had this happened to me when dealerships (service advisors ) like to push on stuff that you really don’t need so they make more money from you.They make commission also on that line. I had my winter tires removed and put summers on a month ago with a warranty job done, went back in weeks later to get the oil changed and the service advisor said you are long overdue on rotating your tires and it must be done. And I laughed and said to her look up at previous service and tell me what it says. With her tail tucked between her legs said I’m sorry 😣 with a red face.

You cant get an pil change in CT for $65.10. For synthetic it would be $110-$200 minimum in CT. Labor charge in ct is $100 an hr. And they round up!!

I did my own only because it was so easy and I enjoy messing around on my vehicles. I'll have to ask if there's an update for mine.
That's the only problem with doing it yourself if you want to stay up-to-date
Be thankful its not a DB-9 oil change at 1400.00 or even a C class Mercedes I heard is $500.00. I am still getting free oil changes 4 left that came with the Jeep, as soon as that ends will switch to Mobil 1 and own mechanic.

Auto service providers do charge you for an arm and a leg on their labor costs greatly. I can understand with you on the prudence to exercising caution at all costs.

You get the first 3 oil changes and tire rotations for free under the Jeep Wave program that comes with the Jeep. Why did you not get that benefit from them?
