I think Stanley should be made a Basegame townie in the Sims 4 because he’s iconic. And every time you see him in the world he’s trying to earn more money by a scheme.
The quickest way is to let dust bunnies pop up. They give you perfect fruit and just getting one from them counts as harvesting it. You don't even need to plant it and let it grow. I did it before the 5 days ran out from the first plant sim fruit.
Also, if you have Island Living and the child of the island trait and marry or have an elemental move in with you, they get a trait that allows them to increase a plants quality. This trait is also passed down to any children you have. They also can summon volcanic bombs which is cool.
@@r.c.linnenkamp4711 I had a micro home and actually maxed the aspiration during game play. I would add to avoid the "good soil" lot trait because it is broken. Your plants get weedy and buggy and dry, but don't change appearance or let you tend them. So eventually they just die. It used to get your plants evolving super fast before they broke it :(
If you’re a level 10 gardener and are spam-opening rare seed packets to get death flowers or whatever, well, those rare seed packets sometimes give you magic beans. Also Patchy once gave my Sim magic beans. So I looked up wtf these things are and have played with PlantSims because of that. Sadly, the main PlantSim ability, talk to plants, is also available to level 10 gardeners so there’s no real incentive except novelty. I hope they do more with them!

Its fun to do the scenario for Plant-a-sim at Sulani. Its much easier since you can swim at the beach, a lot of plants around, and mostly sunny weather☀️
I did it in oasis springs thinking it would be so easy but I have a save I use for scenarios so I couldn't set the season to summer and it somehow ended up being cloudy almost every day

Yea you can still become a plant sim without cheats. It’s still part of the game. It’s just more hidden. I think to get the rare seed packets you need a pretty high gardening skill, and a lot of things the game doesn’t shove in players faces we may forget about. As an example, I still to this day haven’t been to the secret world accessible in Oasis Springs, despite having plenty of sims with a high enough handiness skill. So yea, it’s still in the game. It’s just not featured.
I mean you can cheat to get it. If you type testingcheats true and then hold circle and click x on your sim you should get a cheat menus and make plant sim is an option
They aren’t always carnivores right? Depending on the mushroom they can eat almost anything, hell they can even eat *wood* sometimes (think about mushrooms you see on dead logs.), and sometimes they do take Solar energy from plants in symbiosis? (Although idk if it would be enough to allow a Plant Sim to absorb it. Idk what the metric is there) I’m not a biologist or a mycologist tho :p just some guy who has read way too many scientific papers on fungi to be normal lol.
I miss the plant sims from Sims 3 University. I used to have my student sims volunteer for medical testing until they turned into a plantsim, marry a plantsim, a grow a baby sim from a seed! It was so cute.

Plant Sims have been accessible for years! They're just annoying to get. If you had/have a Sim with level 10 gardening you can buy Rare gardening seed packets. From those you can get Magic beans. If you get all 6 colors of magic beans you can buy the magic tree stump. Add the beans to it and activate it. If creates a tree with a pathway you can go through. It is a rabbit hole, you can send your sim once a day. They get the forbidden fruit (and other collectables) by going through the tree. Eat the fruit and you can become a plant sim!!
Hey Kayla i wanted to give you a quick tip. Which is AMAIZING little detail. I'm watching your vids for months now. And i can't believe you didn't know putting a roof over the plants makes ALL PLANTS LIVE ALL KINDS OF WEATHER. So you don't have to care about which plants is for which season... I always do this. Also this prevents them from getting water during rains. When you see SHELTERED when you hover over the plant. This just means it will survive any weather condition. ;) Happy simming
I had a massive plant Sim family in sims2. It was the Green Family and Everyone who married into the family had to take the Green last name. The asexual reproduction was pretty cool. Everyone born into or adopted had a plant name. All elders including pets lived on the "retirement" lot so when they died they would already be on the cemetery lot.
So you need sun every day to survive and you came to England? It took me 33 sim days to do this. I had my sim live in Sulani so the water thing was ok. When it was cloudy I had a bunch of spare plants to suck the sun out of. I had finished all of it in a few days except the perfect harvest. My plants took an age to evolve beyond the first levels.
I find it really funny it also took me 33 days to complete it, although I was living in Willow Creek because I liked having them "live" in the secret lot in Sylvann Glade
yeah I remember finding the plant sim years ago. It was when i first found out about cheats and was having a blast. I shift clicked on my sim and clicked the turn into plant sim option. It made me really happy when i saw that they re added them because it was a fun blast to the past
Every time I told my plant sim to get a glass of water, they went to the sink, got a glass, went to the bathtub and took a bath, and then brought the glass back to the sink. I have no idea why, but it was extremely annoying. Also, my plants didn't evolve anywhere near that quick, and I did it on a tiny lot.
A tip for gardening with seasons: slap a roof over your crops (doesn't need walls) and they will be classified as "sheltered" and then your plants will be in season all the time!
I would love to see more play through of the scenarios!!! Especially since they added a bunch of new ones. The chef one looks super fun, and spontaneous fires are always fun in the sims lmaoooo

I always plant the forbidden fruit in my legacy sims' perfect gardens because I'm obsessed with unlocking every plant in the collection panel. But I haven't made a plantsim since I first started playing the game, so maybe I'll try this challenge in sunny Sulani.
One of my first sims ever was Claire, and she had a stint as a Plant Sim! She was just a really good gardener so I grew the bean tree thing and she enjoyed photosynthesising for a while
You can actually still get the seeds in some of the less common seed packs and I believe the tree stump is in CAS. So you can try to turn into a plant sim the original way!
So I started this with a random townie in my other households. I couldn't be bothered making someone so I browsed til I found one I was intrigued by. lol It started in winter in Evergreen Harbor but so far I'm doing ok. I'm over halfway thru the largest task and still have to harvest a perfect plant though. Also I noticed he had max fishing so I went ahead and gave him the fisherman part time job. (I've noticed when they go to work their hunger gets replenished just like if they needed food for a lunch so that probably helps me some) there's some nearby world plants I have him absorb from so he doesn't kill his own. And now that its spring I have him outside more and an easel cause he likes to paint as well to supplement his lil part time job. I planted a couple of the forbidden fruit too so I can get some extra. So far he's only turned back to a normal Sim one time. Which I felt like it was a fluke or he just plummeted real quick once and I didn't notice cause I was distracted with something else.
I forgot to mention the funniest thing (good grief) he overslept a bit and then got abducted by alien as soon as he stepped foot outside to go to work.
Kayla (in the best way possible) i always wonder how big your closet is (like the top section) cause your always in different cute tops in each video. If I was a youtuber, people would just see me cycle the same 5 tops each week
I am still trying to get my Sim to harvest the perfect quality flower because apparently harvesting the ones at spice festival doesn't count. Also my plant Sim is the only one of my Sims that can't communicate at all
I would have bought him a sprinkler to get his hygiene up (in a fun way). Also, I would get him to grow a trash plant or two so he can absorb their energy and not worry too much (or feel guilty) about killing the plants ;)
also like i had no idea this was a thing but straight up i am pursuing a science degree and my wild fever dream is to express photosynthetic genes in human dna and i feel so much more valid now
Feeding from your own plants doesn't kill them, it just shrinks them. I recommend putting one large planter in your house and filling it with 4 mushrooms. They're easy to find and grow fast. Whenever your plant sim is hungry just feed from all 4 mushrooms and they'll grow back in no time. (seriously the first one usually grows back before you even stop absorbing the last one) Just feed off those four whenever you need and tend your other plants as usual. And for the perfect plant, buy some chickens. I recommend 2 hens and 1 rooster. The game automatically give you the friendly treat option, and you only need fruit or veggies for it. Since you're already gardening (and the 4 mushroom plants count towards treats) you'll be able to make plenty. Feed your chickens friendly treats until they love you. 10-15 treats each or so. If they love you and have all their basic needs met, the odds of them laying a golden egg is high. A golden chicken can make your plants perfect, but even if you don't get a hatchable egg, you can make a golden omelette with 2 non-hatchable golden eggs. Plant sims don't refill their hunger from food, but they do still get the special effects. Eat the omelette and pulse your plants yourself. I beat the challenge in 5 sim days. Also plant a forbidden fruit for endless (1 a day) fruit.

I also did this scenario. I also moved to Henford on Bagley and it kept raining all days :D so I moved to Sulani to the one Island lot and you can get water and food just with swimming in the ocean :D
Thanks for getting me to play this scenario. I discovered how to get perfect plants in-game without having to go through evolving plants. When you are done with everything else in the scenario, go to the Spice Festival, there are lots of perfect plants to choose from. If I knew that it would have saved me so much time in-game. I finished this scenario in 34 game days.
I’m playing this scenario currently and I’ve gotten all requirements complete aside from the “harvest from a perfect plant.” It seemed like Stanley being a plant sim helped his plants evolve faster but I’ve not experienced this at all?? It’s taking foreverrr. I HAVE unintentionally discovered how lucrative gardening can become though. Yowza. I may have to incorporate a few gardener sims into my legacy challenge to bulk up the family inheritance.
Download it all of your Stanleys and put them into actual houses and now they are going to be so happy and they’re not going to die because just because they work their self so hard and then you don’t get any friends

They should have a "Water self" option when you click on yourself since you can water other plants.

It's a lot easier if you have enough skin on your sim showing to notice they aren't green anymore.
It was fairly easy for me, the only part I'm struggling with is the "harvest from a perfect quality plant" task, that ones gonna take a while

Willow Creek is a good place for this scenario. It took 23 days to get a plant to perfect quality with regular fertilizing and a long summer season.

I swear in my game Vlad doesn't come around in the middle of the night with nearly the frequency that he does for you, this was just unfair, lol. I was thinking about trying this scenario but I'm glad I watched this first, it seems harder than anticipated
They have to make Plantsims not only more deep as occults but also more easy to acces
@@BusyBusyPanda easier to access as in “easier to access through gameplay/without cheats” like how you can become a vampire by asking a sim to turn you or become a mermaid by finding some thing (i don’t remember what it is, but it’s pretty easy) in sulani
I started the plantsim scenario and I was mostly finished really quickly, the longest to do is the 99/99 plant care and the grow a perfect plant.
Protip: plant one of the forbidden fruits so you never run out

I always plant the forbidden fruit in my legacy sims' perfect gardens because I'm obsessed with unlocking every plant in the collection panel. But I haven't made a plantsim since I first started playing the game, so maybe I'll try this challenge in sunny Sulani.
One of my first sims ever was Claire, and she had a stint as a Plant Sim! She was just a really good gardener so I grew the bean tree thing and she enjoyed photosynthesising for a while
I think it would be really funny to have a Plant Sim and a Vampire Sim in a relationship, because they have such polar opposite lifestyles 😅

You can actually still get the seeds in some of the less common seed packs and I believe the tree stump is in CAS. So you can try to turn into a plant sim the original way!
So I started this with a random townie in my other households. I couldn't be bothered making someone so I browsed til I found one I was intrigued by. lol It started in winter in Evergreen Harbor but so far I'm doing ok. I'm over halfway thru the largest task and still have to harvest a perfect plant though. Also I noticed he had max fishing so I went ahead and gave him the fisherman part time job. (I've noticed when they go to work their hunger gets replenished just like if they needed food for a lunch so that probably helps me some) there's some nearby world plants I have him absorb from so he doesn't kill his own. And now that its spring I have him outside more and an easel cause he likes to paint as well to supplement his lil part time job. I planted a couple of the forbidden fruit too so I can get some extra. So far he's only turned back to a normal Sim one time. Which I felt like it was a fluke or he just plummeted real quick once and I didn't notice cause I was distracted with something else.
I forgot to mention the funniest thing (good grief) he overslept a bit and then got abducted by alien as soon as he stepped foot outside to go to work.

Playing this scenario with seasons is hard mode! There are perfect plants at the romance festival and you can find some on the gallery.

idk i thought this one was pretty easy - hardest part was getting to perfect quality plants
I am still trying to get my Sim to harvest the perfect quality flower because apparently harvesting the ones at spice festival doesn't count. Also my plant Sim is the only one of my Sims that can't communicate at all
I would have bought him a sprinkler to get his hygiene up (in a fun way). Also, I would get him to grow a trash plant or two so he can absorb their energy and not worry too much (or feel guilty) about killing the plants ;)
also like i had no idea this was a thing but straight up i am pursuing a science degree and my wild fever dream is to express photosynthetic genes in human dna and i feel so much more valid now
Feeding from your own plants doesn't kill them, it just shrinks them. I recommend putting one large planter in your house and filling it with 4 mushrooms. They're easy to find and grow fast. Whenever your plant sim is hungry just feed from all 4 mushrooms and they'll grow back in no time. (seriously the first one usually grows back before you even stop absorbing the last one) Just feed off those four whenever you need and tend your other plants as usual.
And for the perfect plant, buy some chickens. I recommend 2 hens and 1 rooster. The game automatically give you the friendly treat option, and you only need fruit or veggies for it. Since you're already gardening (and the 4 mushroom plants count towards treats) you'll be able to make plenty. Feed your chickens friendly treats until they love you. 10-15 treats each or so. If they love you and have all their basic needs met, the odds of them laying a golden egg is high. A golden chicken can make your plants perfect, but even if you don't get a hatchable egg, you can make a golden omelette with 2 non-hatchable golden eggs. Plant sims don't refill their hunger from food, but they do still get the special effects. Eat the omelette and pulse your plants yourself. I beat the challenge in 5 sim days.
Also plant a forbidden fruit for endless (1 a day) fruit.
I also did this scenario. I also moved to Henford on Bagley and it kept raining all days :D so I moved to Sulani to the one Island lot and you can get water and food just with swimming in the ocean :D

Thanks for getting me to play this scenario. I discovered how to get perfect plants in-game without having to go through evolving plants. When you are done with everything else in the scenario, go to the Spice Festival, there are lots of perfect plants to choose from. If I knew that it would have saved me so much time in-game. I finished this scenario in 34 game days.

I’m playing this scenario currently and I’ve gotten all requirements complete aside from the “harvest from a perfect plant.” It seemed like Stanley being a plant sim helped his plants evolve faster but I’ve not experienced this at all?? It’s taking foreverrr. I HAVE unintentionally discovered how lucrative gardening can become though. Yowza. I may have to incorporate a few gardener sims into my legacy challenge to bulk up the family inheritance.

I tried and finished in the time frame of the first forbidden fruit. I bought the golden honey milk and made my plants perfect. Just got lucky.
I used the dust bunnies to get a perfect crop!! My bees didn’t help much and I got impatient lol took me 22 sim days

You know that asking about conditions gives you money WITHOUT ANY conditions... Right? 😂 I am a little confused because I know you sometimes do these things for fun and I love watching you getting someone to marry your sim at all costs but I couldn't tell if you do this for fun or you just did not know this SO I decided to tell you.
