hey there, yes the gears are short but you are not revving the machine! shifting should occur at around 7-8k rpm! have a great day!

I have the same bike, it max out at 160, it run at high rev's, and is made for running st such high rev's. To say it max out at 130 is ridiculous.

Good for you that yours maxes out at 160 but mine maxes out around 130. And there is nothing ridiculous about saying that, you can find similar findings in other bike reviews such as this one: www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/bikes/kawasaki/versys-x-300-2017-used.

@@martinsmotorbikestuff2478 I think you should look at your bike, there is something wrong. I often ride long distances with mine and without noticing I go 140km/hrs comfortably. I try to ride at 130, I think that is ideal for the long rode. My weight is 60kg, but even with luggage, it never struggle. If I drive 120km/hrs it just began to enter the power band rev's, at about 7 000rev's /min.

Sorry, I don't take bike repair advice from RUclips mechanics, I had it serviced by the Kawasaki dealership (which never found anything wrong with it by the way).
