- Madame Suzelle Poole believes life is too short not to do what you want to do. A professional ballet soloist and teacher of Classical Ballet, 78-year-old Madame Poole is the director of The Poole Ballet, which takes dance into many retirement and assisted living centers. In 2017, she interviewed with BBC 3 Internet for their Amazing Humans series. Madame Poole performed and taught in Toronto and Montreal, Canada; Houston, Texas; London, England; Glasgow, Scotland; Munster and Stuttgart, Germany; and Cape Town, South Africa. In Houston, she danced as a soloist in the Houston Ballet. For nine years, she taught the Advanced Children’s Divertissements for the Moscow Ballet Nutcracker. Currently in Dallas, Texas, Madame Poole teaches at the Royale Ballet Dance Academy and Tuzer’s, along with guesting at Toby’s. She has my full respect and the moral of the story here for all ballerinas is stop listening to those idiots that you must retire at 30, this lady is proving a point that you can continue to perform ballet on stage at 79 years old
I loved this. This inspires me. I m not quite her age, but I too am getting up there. It's been 20 years or so since I've been in a studio. But recently I have been doing stretching, the Barre, and adagio. My pointe shoes were new a few months ago, but you can tell they have currently been used (a lot) I love to even just to look at them, hold them, touch them, practice in them, daily. Have maintained the balance I once had.... Still 98 lbs, still flexible, still good technique from RAD training, and gaining strength more and more. But do I strive for perfection?? absolutely! I've been living with fibromyalgia for almost 30 years, but when I'm en pointe and dancing, I feel no fatigue or pain. I have such respect for Madame Poole. She loves being a ballerina. It's my passion and it's what brought me back to life. Go out there girls, women, and those of us that they call Seniors. You're beautiful! Dance away. It is something that gives the mind and body passion. Purchase that ballet Barre if you cannot get to the studio, but strive for good technique, but do it. Dancing will embrace your heart ❤.... My pointe shoes will always be my first and best love. Thank you Madame Poole! You are amazing. Someday maybe we will dance in Heaven together!

Too sweet for my eyes.
Her dancing tells her story and what kind of person she is. She is an energetic lady full of passion for dancing. Her age is not a problem. She loves life and never wastes her life to getting wither. On the stage, she is a sparkling star to do her favorite ballet. She shows us the incredible and brilliant performance. Her story is truly a good life lesson for all of us. No matter how old you are, you can do anything like her if you have a passion and strong willpower. Anything is possible if you are willing.
Some are round her age up to 100. She closer to her 70’s. I’m just not sure why some will do that.
Suzelle Poole, also known as Madame Poole, is an English ballet dancer, dance teacher, and poet.
She is a former soloist with Houston Ballet and is known for continuing to perform ballet in her seventies.

What an inspiring performance, Madame Poole! It was wonderful watching this live, but I'm so glad that I can share this performance as an inspiration to others.

Why put 100 years? Suzelle Poole is in her late 70's dancing here, which is miraculous. Her age now is 82.
