I have always kind of been on the fence about Jared. Never cared much for his content but he does his thing and people like it. So it's whatever. But after seeing this little temper tantrum that was not hidden very well I'm disappointed. Not once did anything I see demoralize me from playing. When I see good players and players better than me(😉see my joke there rofl) it inspires me to be better. Some people will be faster but that's not always the end all be all. Music is not a competitor sport. There's always going to be someone better at some technical aspects and or styles of playing. What matters is are you enjoying what you create?

Well my friend is a teacher in China and China does invest way more money in art and music education than we do. We're cutting it across the board. Most of those players probably started playing guitar at 6. I wish we would start treating music better as a society.

Yep. I worked for a couple different Chinese restaurants delivering food for a while. I heard the language more than most Western people and being a musician I always listened for those inflections. If you say "Ma" with rising tone it's different than if you say "Ma" with descending tone and if you say "Ma" with no inflection in either direction it's different too lol. Chinese is an incredibly difficult language to learn well. Not sure how much of their musical talents are linked directly to that but I'm willing to bet that there is a link there.
@@jedimindtrix2142 Ya, research showed that people whose mother tongue was a tonal language (like Chinese, Vietnamese, Navajo etc.) are more sensitive in sounds. Just like, it's easier to sing a song in a different laguage than in just speaking it.
@@lyri-kyunero Makes sense. I never was much of a natural singer. I had to work a lot to get to the mediocre singer I am. So mainly I focused on playing and not singing over the years. The last couple years I focused more on signing and playing with my acoustic. It has helped me a ton with my improvisational solo playing and my ear in general has improved. So from my personal experience singing improves your musicianship overall. What the studies show is correct.
