Hey, Jared Dines! Don’t count out the English yet when it comes to shredding!
So for people that don’t know Jarred Dines has organised some shred collabs from some of the worlds best shred guitarists. However, what really blew people away was when guitarist Alain Ibrahim covered the entire collab in 4 days!
Recently, Jared Dines was very impressed by a Shred collab organised in China featuring some of China’s best guitarist. Obviously, people were blown away and joked about Ibrahim covering it in only 3 days. I was also blown away and when re-watching the original version one of the guitarist had posted his tab, so I thought ‘ Why not, I’ll give it a go’.
Well, that led to a crazy idea of ‘Why not cover them all!’.
How I even thought I could do this I don’t know. There were no tabs, so I would have to learn the songs by ear. I am usually to lazy to do this and never really tried it, but I gave it a go. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too bad and I honestly believe it made me learn the songs better. I have often heard musicians saying it’s the best way, and now I can’t disagree.
I also must come clean.
This didn’t take 6 days.
I am nowhere near the calibre of Alain Ibrahim. This project took 6 weeks and RUclipss algorithm will probably penalise my channel for it, so I had to put the clickbait title.

I put in as much time as I could alongside work, family and training often hitting 10hrs of playing and transcribing.
Anyway, this project has relit my passion for playing the guitar and who knows. Maybe Jared Dines will even see it but God knows how!
As a side note, please don’t think this video is arrogant with the way its shot. As regulars to my channel know, I’m trying to improve my camera and editing work so always experimenting with filming trying to get better.

I just wanted to thank you if you watched this video which was an amazing experience for me. As explained in the description this didn’t take 6 days it took 6 weeks!
I had to learn it by ear so don’t bother about asking for tabs, but I do online lessons! Wink Wink.
Also, I meant to put a note on solo 1 & 2. I physically cannot play them in 1 take. They are just too fast, and I couldn't justify spending the hrs of practice on them, I would need. I had to use two guitar takes/punch ins and swap between them. The second video cuts where the guitar does and solo 1 was just the most accurate video take. Go see the original guy if you really want your face melted off.

Haha. I had all the camera and lighting set up and was waiting for him to roach ( how he was lying on his back). When he did I ran in hit record and got some takes before he laid back down lol. He hates when I turn the camera and lighting in and usually runs away so glad I got it haha.

Wow man I truly hope you get the recognition you deserve soon. I just happened to see someone comment your name on Jared's vid and I searched you. I've been playing guitar for 16 years, I am familiar with the endless hours of practice it takes day in and out to develop techniques like these. Knowing what to play is the easy part, playing both clean and fast like this takes skill. Keep it up, definitely got a sub from me👍

I'm quite impressed that you not only covered the parts but also somewhat re-created the scenes of the recording. Literally the only complaint I have about the whole thing is that your tone was quite muddy on some of the parts making it really hard to make out all the notes you were playing. I noticed this particularly when you were using what looked to be Fender strats in place of the Tim Henson signature model the players were using. Aside from what one thing, though, i'm quite happy that RUclips recommended this video to me because it was really good.

I think the most difficult or technical is the one that used a wide box of scale 5:20. You werent able to cover it cleanly.

Yeah, The worse one from the original was the guy floating on the sea. It was really badly out of tuned and hard to work out by ear. The solo before the pink one is actually in tune he just plays wacky notes... or it's my playing haha

Hi. I slowed down the audio in cubase and would just take each solo a beat at a time working it out by ear. It actually turned out a good way to do it and I picked the songs up faster than I would of done just reading tabs 😊
