I just love everything about the Carlsbad 5k. I've watched the greats race on the beautiful roads of Carlsbad, and i'm glad to witness another iteration of this beautiful and historic event. Hope to see athletes like Aregawi, Cheptegei, and others grace the beautiful streets of this quaint and lovely city next time.

@@runnershighproductions ik they have different training groups but I saw on one of Chesereks posts that chelimo commented about Cheserek leading the train during reps
@@HumptyMcFly Then what does "less of work" mean? It can and does take a considerable amount of work. Were you only saying in regards to if you are able to do it?

Glad to see Meb still involved in the scene, looking forward to see him develop as a sports broadcaster.
Woah this camera lenses makes the race looks really amazing, like you can feel the speed
Congratulations to the athletes for a fine race. Thank you for posting.
AMAZING event! I ran in the Open race and it was a blast. Stayed to watch these studs race and it was worth the wait. Can't wait for next year!
So glad you enjoyed it. We'll see you next year!
🔜
So inspiring to see these runners fly by!!! Love it! :)
Great video, really great race/event!!!
Great! Thanks for sharing the video!
Cheserek is 5'7" so the 2 bigger guys behind him are very tall distance runners, around 6'2" or 6'3".
Cheserek Height: 5′ 6″
what a great finish for both!
Congratulations to the winners!
Great to have the race back. Hopefully faster times next year like the old days
Hopefully. I remember the year that Josephat Machuka ran 3:59 for the 1st mile.
Excellent 👏🏻
💥 Hell Of a Race💥
This is one of my favorite street races. Bo Hood check in. Remember when Genzebe set the meet record here.
looks fantastic out there
the mens finish was so stressful haha
Great run
💪😎👍
Great professional broadcasting!
Love the ending in the men's race
Parabéns a todos atletas e organizadores
Nice race!
Congratulations
Great commentary, we need more excited commentators to get the ppl watching on TV and internet excited to watch!
That’s Toni Reavis. He’s a road race commentator legend!
Fab event
great to see king ches back on top
what is Buchanan wearing? is it some sort of half singlet, or is it just rolled up? never seen anything like it
That was a fun race to watch. Cheserek was moving even though he broke form toward the finish line. I wonder if he trains with Kipchoge back in Kenya.
He doesn't
I saw that he trains with Chelimo

Just $4,000 for the winners. How cheap can you get.
4K for 15:30 minutes and less of work. I’ll take it.
@@HumptyMcFly It takes a while to be able to run a 15:30 unless you’re Justyn Knight

@@Cyberman3245 You think too hard. I said that because Degefa came in at 15:30 but Cheserek came in at 13:44 (the “and less” part).
I'd like to see the full women's race from 1992.
That gal pushed Cheserek to the absolute limit.

I couldn't make I past 5 minutes of this video. The cutting back and fourth betweet the men's and women's races every 30 seconds was too much.
