This version is on the Metallica Blacklist album, the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Metallica told them to rearrange it, they didn't care if it was turned upside down or played backwards, just don't change lyrics. They completed it all within 10 days (7 days of actual recording time), and remotely because of lockdown. Alessia in Canada , and The Warning in Mexico. I'm a Metallica fan, seen them play this on multiple tours, and I love this version.

Their cover could be considered a completely different song, actually. Sort of an "Enter Sandman 2.0". It's insanely well done. Great reaction video! I'm certainly wanting to see more from The Warning. Today, I just made an interesting observation.. The grass was cut, on the side of the abandoned factory (or whatever), where this was filmed, apparently just for the video recording. That section looked well manicured and free of the weeds and overgrowth that were all over the hillside, where Dany dropped the hammer on the song.
Up next from The Warning, you need to do "Disciple" live from Teatro Metropólitan. It's mind blowing.

You’ll have to go back in time to really find TW doing covers. They have focused almost exclusively on original material for most of their careers.
Enter Sandman was special because it was for a charity album (Blacklist) and because it was the early cover by TW of ES that went viral and helped launch their careers.
They did do covers very early in their journey and did them well.
In addition to their earlier ES cover they did a couple Foo Fighters songs, a couple of Muse songs, AC/DC, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Ozzy, GNR and others which should be available on their YT channel.

All lyrics are the original, but Metallica told them to play it backwards, upside down, whatever. Few artists have the guts to do this, but not The Warning! Try 'Z' or 'Animosity' from their Teatro Metropolitan shows.

Loved the genuine reaction to this song. I still get goosebumps from their re-imagined version to this day. Now, for a new suggestion? Hmm... Live is their Super Power, and they have so many great ones. The Drummer sings amazing as well, and I seen you haven't heard her sing lead yet. I would suggest Dust to Dust or Narcisista Live at Teatro Metropolitan for Paulina. For Dany the guitarist, I would suggest their Anthem Rock song Martirio, either the official music video or the Live at Teatro. Throw a dart at those 3 songs, you can't go wrong with either. 🤘

💥💥💥 Hi guys, I'm a fan of the warning since 2015, there is some facts that you need to know:
⚠️ "THE WARNING" ⚠️
They are three sisters from Monterrey Mexico 🇲🇽, The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today the three of them are:
- Dany ( Daniela ) - Guitarist - 23 years old,
- Pau ( Paulina ) - Drummer - 21 years old,
- Ale ( Alejandra ) - Bassist - 19 years old.
In 2022 they did over a hundred gigs in North and South America opening for Foo Fighters, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, Trhree Days Grace, and Guns and Roses, and playing at the MTV VMA's.
In 2024 they will play at:
- Shiprock
- Tecate P'al Norte Festival in Monterrey Mexico
- Vive Latino Festival in Mexico City
- Europe Tour
- Mad Cool Festival in Madrid Spain
- Wacken Open Air Festival on Germany
They are classically trained pianists; Dany and Ale have played SAX in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal Singer. They were inspired by "Rock Band" the video game, and two of their songs are available on "Rock Band IV" the video game, they were on The Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual ass they attended a bilingual catholic school in Monterrey MX. Later, all graduated high school through homeschooling. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They Started as a cover band; The Enter Sandman cover launched their career. They have now 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased performed songs, no bad songs. Their newest release single, called "MORE" came out in May 12th. Two new unreleased songs debuted at their Guadalajara concert. One is called "SICK" and the other is "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM". They have a rich collection of Music Videos and Lyric Videos on their Channel. There are also blogs and individual performances.

Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice.
in the OMV, Dany and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale and Pau join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹

I so agree with you that those 3 big full production shows with the 10 pc string section, was the best version so far. BUT... We do not have an official recording release yet, just cell phone video's from fans in the crowd. While those are enjoyable to watch, the wait for the official videos with full mixed HD audio, will be worth the wait. Same goes for the new songs! so exciting!
The Warning were able to make a classic Metallica song their own, completely rearrange the music, and work with a person they had never met over zoom, and get it done in 10 days!

After analyzing and deconstructing the original Enter Sandman, they radically manipulated the essential structures maintaining a resonance with the original and created a melodious “Exit Sandman”?
It sounds very different from the original, in a good way. As someone else has mentioned they did a straight up cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14, 12, and 9. That is also a good cover, with Dany nailing the guitar solo, and facial expressions.
They have three full albums worth of original material out, so there is a lot to look into. I love how well The Warning tell their stories. For many it is all about the music. For me, I prefer using the music as the method for telling the story. I suggest you react to my favorite singer storyteller, Angelina Jordan, who has covered nearly 200 songs, spanning around 10 genres and has blessed us with 12 originals. The biggest problem with this song is there isn't enough for the bass and especially the drums to do. Pau is one of the better drummers alive today and there isn't enough in the original song for her to really show what she can do. But otherwise, this is now the official version of this song in our household.
