Great video, I'll be using this technique on my HO scale Bachmann EZ Track. I like the fact you did the sides and didn't bother with between the ties, to me that's making more problems than it's worth!
Hi Nick. The 3:1 ratio, water to Mod Podge, is hand mixed. Mod Podge can be bought at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You can also substitute Elmer's glue as well. Eithe 3:1 o 2:1 whichever r you find best. Scenic Cement (Woodland Scenics) is already diluted in the bottle/sprayer so no mixing necessary. Cost is higher a bit, but, it's more convenient. I've used both. Hope this helps.
Hey Ed - in the beginning of the video you talk about a 3 to 1 ratio but don't specify with what. Is it 3 parts water to 1 part mod podge or the other way around? Or is it something other than water?
Good job but maybe a little easier brush the side of the track bed then apply ballast and spray adhesive. Use unscented kitty litter and mix paint for realistic effect. Tip the hardest part is between the ties! Labor intensive!
Mike, since this is FastTrack which is a plastic mold, you really can't ballast between the ties, only the sloping sides. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Mrmrlee, Thanks. I concluded the same. A PITA to spread between the ties. No worries about ballast in the gears. Good luck.
Hi Ed nice demonstration on who to ballast Leonel Fastrack. It looks great on the layout. Nick
Thanks
Paul, thanks for the kind remarks. Glad I could help and good luck.

Hi @boscoed1 now is that 3 to 1 ratio of mod podge also called scenic solution as well or are you using a 3 to 1 ratio of a different glue as well ?

Oops. 1 part mod lodge to 3 parts water.
Thanks! Your tutorial is great. Can't wait to apply the technique myself.
