Saints Row IV and Gat Out of Hell are total barrel fires. Saints Row Reboot? I haven't played, but I will give it a try (Once the price drops) I made it this far in Saints Row, and I will suffer through and play the new one just for the story.
Testing likely happened, and with a tester who had "working eyes"; but the moment that is set and done, the list of bugs goes to a corpo who just takes a quick look at it, asks how much time and money it'd cost to fix all that, and then asks again but for only fixing the bare minimum that'd allow the game to not crash in the first two hours to avoid Steam refunds.

I liked all Saints Row from 1 to 4 and while I agree that 4 went little bit too far into Sci-Fi territory, I still liked it. I am sad that this new game effectively killed franchise. While it is possible for it to return, since this game sold poorly it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Maybe it’s for the better too, since if next Saints Row game was made nowadays, it would more than likely be a failure and not “real” SR game if you know what I mean.
The worst thing about this is how the devs were so confident they atacked some of their worried fans on Twitter with the obligatory *"haters gonna hate"* just because they weren't fans of the new direction the seires is heading....and now that the game is out Velition has COMPLETLY destroyed their reputation even more, and now they had to be merged with Gearbox for the company to not be closed down after the terrible sales of rebbot. This must be the saddest way to completly kill such a amazing franchise in gaming history!
I have to believe that the Saints Row 2022 developers were having seriously bad days while working on this game regardless of the arrogance they displayed on Twitter being very defensive of the game and aggressively attacking the fanbase. It is absolutely mind-blowing.

I had a good laugh last night when I went to see how people were reacting to Volition merging with Gearbox and saw that they had released a major patch for the game just hours prior. I laughed because literally every comment I read was either "they didn't fix X or Y" or "Z is now even worse after this patch." The most significant example was the aiming; I dropped the game before finishing it because of how fucking awful the aiming acceleration was, and apparently now it's even worse. I don't know how that's possible but I have no desire to reinstall the game and find out.
No matter how hard volition tries they'll never be able to polish the turd that is saints row 2022
That as the funniest shit I read too. They were like "we went hard on this one. Bright future" and the game is still shit. Now some people saying all the NPCs are gone from their game. Delayed for 6 months and changed nothing, game is still a mess on release, 200 patches now post release, and its still busted. Where did they seriously find these programmers? Or were their priorities just way too absorbed in their stupid marketing, or thought their younger fans would just care about the customization? Like this reboot way too much money into optics, messaging and trying to shutdown feedback than actual work into it being a good game. Even non fans think its mediocre.

The only way I see Saints Row being successful is by some sort of remaster for SR1 and SR2. Starting over again isn't really an option, The good will is completely gone, The faith is gone, As far as the general and casual consumer is concerned Saints Row isn't a franchise to be invested in, The fans are upset and dwindling away and the devs ARE SO CONFIDENT of there vision its actually insane.
I'd only accept a remake of SR1 and 2 as an apology. Everything is just going to be gimmicky kiddie stuff for the reboot, that I'm not interested in.
I for one would love to get a remaster of the first game
I don’t think we should get a remaster since they will probably change stuff like remove lines or edit scenes.
@@richardtouchstone5508 Oh I meant good remaster and only good. Keep the DNA intact. If they censor or whatever else they can piss off.

Saints Row the Third was a nice little change with its story, as well as the overall humourous tone of it.
Saints Row IV and Gat Out of Hell are total barrel fires.

I know I was kinda hoping this game could have started making other triple A games sweat a little and start doing the best games they could
This is what happens when you try to approach a "MODERN AUDIENCE"
Splinter cell said it's going for a modern audience approach so now my hopes are in hell
Was skeptical the moment I saw the main character, and confirmed when they gave us details and game play. 😒 Game was D.O.A and deserved it.
I was mad when I saw that dinosaur statue, that cat helmet, and how bad the game models look compared to the CG trailer.
As a native New Mexican, I can confirm that putting any game in it needs to understand that it is fucking dead or boring literally everywhere but Albuquerque (whereas there you'll just end up dead)
I admire you for trying to have hope like me, Alex. I’m only sorry you were just as disappointed as me
Rip saints row the game that was on life support as soon as the fourth one started development honestly this game feels like a mercy kill tbh kinda like the lad from saints row 2
I feel like Volition should give up on this game, figure out what made the first saints row games great, remaster saints row 2 ffs, and then reboot the series with a new story to replace the timeline that the third created. I really hope they make another saints row game, and I hope to god that if they do it isn't another hot mess like the reboot.

The best thing about this game coming out is it inspired me to replay SR2

3&4 are awesome
Well now the series is officially dead. Volition Games shut down. RIP saints row
I have to give credit where credit is due, these developers were very confident that hipsters were going to be intimidating.
Just a "little bit too far" 🤨
The worst thing about this is how the devs were so confident they atacked some of their worried fans on Twitter with the obligatory *"haters gonna hate"* just because they weren't fans of the new direction the seires is heading....and now that the game is out Velition has COMPLETLY destroyed their reputation even more, and now they had to be merged with Gearbox for the company to not be closed down after the terrible sales of rebbot. This must be the saddest way to completly kill such a amazing franchise in gaming history!
Volition killed Saints Row, literally. They're a part of Gearbox now, Volition no longer exists as a studio.
I have to believe that the Saints Row 2022 developers were having seriously bad days while working on this game regardless of the arrogance they displayed on Twitter being very defensive of the game and aggressively attacking the fanbase. It is absolutely mind-blowing.
You know you have a professional team, when your manager decided to call anyone terrorists, because you dare say the game is bad.
If you actually also look in the games credits, mainly the writers you'll also find that none of them have any history with the saints row franchise.... So none of the writers from one or two had a single part in the creation of this atrocious crap fest of a game, not even 3 or 4 writers were involved...
These writers don't even know what actually made saints row such a popular game...
R.i.p saints row...
