- Discussing how the LS swapped caprice has done in the last 80 miles of driving since the swap was completed, also touching base on transmission torque management.
Okay my dude I see you.... Keep them videos cranking out.... I have a b-body wagon I'm getting ready your videos are helping me out... Once I'm ready for the tune I'll hit you up...
Brandon What'sUpB good lookin out bro... I appreciate you watchin for real.... let me know what you want to see next!!!
You did a excellent job on this.
Great video, sweet ride can't wait to see it painted
Lol I think I realized what you did with the cold air ! I love it. Gmt 800 flipped! What headers too? I am looking through your videos...
Those are eBay headers. Very cheap, and great quality
That LS look good under the hood 💯😎
I just put a 5.3 in my 91 Caprice with the PSI harness but I need help with the under dash wires and the bracket for the shifter I changed my intake to the car version
What exactly is the issue you are having? And you can always email me at bbodylsswaps@gmail.com
I have a quick question I am using a 6 L 80 transmission inside of a b body what crossmember can I use
There are several aftermarket options but I like the brand dirty dingo. You can go to their website and find what you need or look on eBay. They will all pretty much work.
Excellent
I would love to know what engine mounts you used. What you did with the throttle body.
I made a video on both. The motor mounts are dirty dingo
Clean install....
with trans goes I got a 1995 caprice 4l60e they say this one has to change 3-2 shift solenoid for it to work with ls swap... is this true or will this work as is? Thanks
I have never heard anyone tell me that the 3-2 shift solenoid has to be changed just because it’s a 95, there were some significant changes in 95 that would make the 95 not work in a 96 but that’s neither here nor there. As far as I know, all you have to do is buy an adapter.
@@thehowardsgarage2480 thanks man that's what I thought too but just trying to make sure...I got it in the vehicle with adaptor just trying to see why it wouldn't work ..thanks again waiting on ac video ..bought ict billet sanden 508 kit will be trying to put it on soon only problem I see is that the bracket come out alittle far and hit the overflow tank still trying to figure things out
You are the best.
Can you send the tune's file
And I think if u use compresser called Saden 508 that will be great
Thank so much 🌹
Yes I can if you email me with details of your swap and which pcm you are usin.
@@thehowardsgarage2480 ok bro
Great Vid dad
Ignition bracket… where did you get it? I had to fabricate a little
I too had to fabricate one out of a piece of steel.
@@thehowardsgarage2480 also what size idler pulley is that. It seems that belt size you gave is to small for the original 5.3 pulley
@@beking32 If you used all the parts that I specified in the video everything should work perfectly
@@thehowardsgarage2480 that’s crazy the belt that worked for me is the 1000
@@beking32 weird… But hey as long as it works
I'm running a 4l80e. Do you know of a good budget torque converter at around 2800 stall?
THEREALTRAPDOLLAZ total transmission Chicago has a low budget 2800 stall Convertor up to 550 horsepower. It’s pretty stout for the price which is a couple hundred bucks
@@thehowardsgarage2480 thanks man. I'm going to look them up now. Might need more than 550, but I'll work it all out on their site. Thanks again.
And what cold air intake ?
That one is a spectre cold air intake for a 2000 Silverado. And I just bought a new coupler to mount it to the intake, but it fit perfect
You still have the car for sale
What made you choose the LS1 intake?
I think the truck intake would be too tall .
It is in my 91 had to shave it didn't like it so went with the corvette intake
What's with the 20 pounds of windshield washer fluid LOL...
need to no how to delete the ABS
This one is actually really easy. Just disconnect all the abs hookups that go to the ABS unit
@@thehowardsgarage2480 then what its not going to leak or have air in the system
@@theactoroflove1221 well you leave the actual abs unit you just unhook all the wires thats all.
