What was your pinion angle here? Also that part number for the trans mount will that work for a 480le? Why didn’t you just use the kds motor mounts you wouldn’t have to modify anything?
I did not modify anything to make it work, and if the part number is not in the video then it’s just an over the counter park at Autozone in the performance isle, and yes it works with 4l80e

Really enjoying your videos! I’m doing a caprice frame swap with a 55 Chevy truck- I’m curious how you hooked up the factory linkage to the 4L60e... the square linkage connector from the 700r4 doesn’t fit the square shaft coming out of the 4l60e. Any help with this would be major appreciated!!
GM-SLIM yes that’s true it did, but it came with the 4l60 E that was a single piece case and had a different casting, the 4l60e that I’m using now is a 2001, also I’ve had several people ask me how I used the factory crossmember because they weren’t able to get theirs to work even though they are also using the 4L60e. If you have done the swap yourself then you know using the factory crossmember is quite a challenge when you’re not using the stock transmission, also it depends on which motor mounts you used, so I just made a video explaining what and how I did it.
Hey bro! Finally about to start putting my swap into my.94 wagon. What does it take to make the shifter linkage from the car work with my 4l80? Customized linkage?
@@marcusd4879 oh ok, no problem.... I just used the one from the truck I pulled the motor and tranny from. (2001 Silverado) and had to bend it just a little but it was a great fit

Thanks for watching!!!! I believe I went to the Junkyard and pulled one off of a mid 90’s Silverado and used it...
Hey bro another great video, very detailed and informative. Just wanna be clear.... are you using a 4l60e or 4l80e?
Thanks Corey I appreciate the comment brother, and I am using a 2001 4L60E from a Silverado.
Your car came with a 4l60e from the factory though
GM-SLIM yes that’s true it did, but it came with the 4l60 E that was a single piece case and had a different casting, the 4l60e that I’m using now is a 2001, also I’ve had several people ask me how I used the factory crossmember because they weren’t able to get theirs to work even though they are also using the 4L60e. @@thehowardsgarage2480 are you only using the new transmission because it came with the truck or is there an actual reason behind the swap?
@@josephfigueroa3527 correct. I got it for free with the engine and it was a newer transmission, so I figured why not?

@howards garage... so.. nope.. factory crossmember does not fit with a 4l80e
. So.... making my own...lol
Driveline angle okay? Is there a mount option for a 4l80 or does that adjustable take car of it
Neutsie Yes driveline angle is near perfect, and I am also able to use my stock driveshaft without having it shortened or lengthened.
@@thehowardsgarage2480 did the stoke yoke work as well? I may have to get a different yoke
