That happened to me. I thought my save location in Pripyat was safe and so I deleted my back up saves... now I'm left with an autosave at Chernobyl with no main ammo.
@@denhund101 I did it. I played 3 endings of the game. Thankfully, I happened to come by a video of someone opening the door without the decoder by dropping guns in the door to pop it open.
First playthrough I dragged Wolf's body into Sid's bunker (for loot reasons) and got him stuck in Sid's desk where he stayed for the rest time, with his legs occasionally twitching. In my head I told myself it was the Wolf anomaly lol
@@dfprod.i agree. I think being stuck underground with aliens is a much more horrifying concept. at least in the zone you can breathe fresh air . As fresh as it can be 😂
@@theentirestateofalaska.4983 the what ? i play ultra realistic. -no Hud -no anomaly detector -no geiger counter unless i hold it in my hand -most things can kill me with 2-3 atacks -iron man, 3 lives -every item has an animation, so medkits, bandages, stims, drugs, food, drinks. even opening the backpack has an animation. oh and i play S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly, with expedition mod pack Its fun!
That clip of the guy shooting the snork feels so real and creepy at the same. It feels like I'm the average joe living outside the zone then seeing a clip of a stalker killing one of the mutants there before the video got turned away and turned off quickly by the user to fend mutants off, there's a sense of mystery of what that thing on the other side of the gunfire looks like. The clip just felt super realistic in general.

The first clip of the guys huddled around the campfire applies to DayZ very well, whether in official or rp servers I loved sitting around a fire with fellow survivors and just chatting the night away cause we had no light source aside from making a fire.
let me just say one thing to all the new people getting into the series. Save often. The first time I played SOC like 12 years ago, I forgot to save for a long time and lost so much of my progress. I got to the red forest and died, and it took me all the way back to when you fight off those bandits in the garbage.
The fan film is good but I think either Russia or Ukraine has made a couple fan films too that I think are better due to them having the environment needed. The English one was good but you could tell it wasn’t the zone, still good though
When you're in the Zone, always check and keep your guns loaded, constantly check your 360°... twice, don't run with your face planted in PDA and for the love of God, don't sit in the open, with your head stuffed inside inventory, while fiddlin' with gear... and yes, you all know how i learned all of this, ha ha ha.
Starting playthroughs in anomaly is like this. I play with headphones, yet a cat with just sneak up and merc your ass with lightning speed. I think the worst start has to be Merc though. You load in and instantly there’s already a mutant attacking the building

This also applies to the console versions of the games, I've been playing them on ps5 and I now understand what its like to be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R player lmao.

I haven't played this game for over a decade but the most memorable thing is the mean acoustic riffs sitting around a campfire with radiation gear. Good times 🥂
stalker 2s mission where faust has you on a high tower… i chose to grab his hand to see what would happen only to be dropped from 1000 ft in the air but at the last second i paused it and saved myself from a horrible death.. still at the pause screen.
What its really like: Welp, I don't have enough radiation protection to get out of this main story location, time to go back 3 hours to my last hard save.

The real stalker experience : Misery for "Easy" mode Gamma for ah shit is that 4 chimeras running at me. Or better yet is that 3 psudo giant fighting 4 chimeras with 3 controllers also in the area also fighting with monlith and the poor bastard stalkers that happened to be unlucky enough to spawn in the middle.
As someone who just started playing, my dumb ass has sprinted into multiple anomalies by shear idiocracy and sent me flying. Loving the game though, feels nostalgic, like I have played it before.
Running with opened PDA is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s equivalent of driving and texting.

Tbf I never used them because of crashes and save breaks so I just had tto manually save every 3 mins, I got to over 1000 pretty quick

The campfire is the only time you can safely assume you won't get murdered. Once dawn arrives, your new friend caps you as you cook up a steak.
