Norman Manley wanted to keep us in the West Indies Federation and both went to England to negotiate and they decided we should have a referendum and Busta won as was the first Prime Minister under independence. He opted to stay in the British commonwealth and kept the queen as the head of the country. When I was a little girl we had a Governor from England. This guy Damion is an empty suit. Here he is dividing Jamaicans by mentioning race. He is talking nonsense ... I went to Excelsior before Manley came into power. Yes, he did make the Junior Secondaries into High School, but the genius of education was Edwin Allen from Clarendon. He was the Minister of education under JLP.
