Twice I was assaulted and because they knew him, he walked free with NO charges!!! I have lost ALL faith and trust in the police, 🚔 but even with EVERYTHING that I have personally been through, I have GREAT honor and respect for this man, as he is the last of the good guys!! We need MORE men like this as officers on the street in this country and we would NOT be having the issues that we have been having with the police today. This man is of the highest integrity, unlike most officers today.

I used to work in a tech department for a large retail store. An old man in his 60s brought in a harddrive for a data transfer to a new drive. The drive kept freezing so we had to move the folders directly. I stumbled upon a folder that didn't belong in the directory I was moving. When I opened it, it was filled with these awful images. I called the police and my manager. They set up a sting and had him come into the store. The police took him in for questions and then the state police took him back to his house and they search him. The police found over 8,000 files across 3 devices. I believe he was charged with 30counts, 10 counts on each device. I really hope he is locked up for life. My heart goes out to the family..
It's also really bizarre to me that this 60yo man is tech savvy and stealthy enough to obtain thousands of child pornography files, but didn't think that the person transferring his files could possibly find out about the content of his files and report him.

What steps can be taken to prevent this from happening again? - Locking someone up wont prevent it, it is only a reaction to something that has already happened. This is something I love to debate that, punishment should be used for rehabilitation, yet we as a society need to be taking steps to prevent these crimes from happening in the first time, but should not be relying on punishment being used to deter crime because if that worked, we would not have murders in states with the death penalty.

I think the idea behind one count for each image is for retribution. Each image is presumably either a different person or the same person being abused in a different way, so it at least offers a level of justice and satisfaction even though the damage is done.

Then you get police involved and see where it goes. Some of these guys though screw up their case and do not contact police beforehand which makes everything get tossed out the window. Got make sure you do things right so nothing can get thrown out in court.

The children never fully recover. This deprecation of humanity Carrie’s over in relationships and self worth as adults. These sorry sacks of feces are responsible for ruining lives . They never stop! How do I know.. it started with me at age 5, ended with me once I decided at 13 the only way I could make it stop was by killing my abuser. I was so scared I hid hunting arrows in my bed frame so I could stab my offender if he came in my room again that night. After over powering me and beating me then having his way, him being drunk passed out. I attempted to choke h I’m to death with a wire I found. I pulled it so tight it cut my hands.. ( I have the scars as a reminder of that night) I stopped because I thought he was dead. I went to my neighbors home who was a family friend and her and her husband did drugs with the abuser and my mom.. they checked on him and realized he was still breathing. I was arrested at 13 for assault. Because my abuser was a fine man in the community.. and I was a troubled youth.. well how the hell is a troubled youth made? I thought I was the only one because of the drugs and because I was his daughter. He even tried to convince me he was Satan and I was the daughter of Satan and it was my job to give him a son my mother couldn’t. This was at age 8 . I was finally released at age 15 and they were divorced. I turned to drugs because I could forget. I could smile. Of course the rest of the family just knew I was trash because I was on drugs .. never why is she. Abuser remarried, stopped using drugs, started going to church. So I figured he is clean so it won’t happen again. I found out later it did with wife number 2’s 3 daughters and wife number 3’s daughter who blames me for not stopping him before he got to her. .. when nobody believes you how do you stop Satan? He was charming and had everyone fooled but Mom, and the first 6 months she was a part of the mess . Today I trust nobody, I don’t have relationships because I can’t stand to be touched. I do not use rugs because I enjoy being able to use my brain. I work 2 jobs so I don’t have time to think, because when I think the thoughts aren’t pleasant. I’ve tried therapy.. doesn’t work for me.. to late. These guys can’t stop or change.. put a bullet between their eyes. If a dog harmed a child there wouldn’t be a thought about it.. how do these monsters get by with it?

I was so relieved to hear him say that they would be working with the Chinese authorities and that the Chinese dude would probably be extradited back to the United States, but I was also really surprised. I didn't expect the Chinese authorities to be willing to cooperate with the U.S. authorities and extradite one of their own back to our country, since they aren't exactly our allies. I'm happy that justice will be served to this guy though, and that he can't escape the consequences of his actions by going to China.

When I was a criminal investigator years ago I hated working sex crimes against children or even adults. . One in particular that I barley got through was an 8 yo girl that had been molested & raped multiple times over several years. Found out it was her grandfather and he gladly admitted & confessed to these crimes. His “reasoning “ was that he wanted to show his granddaughter what love was. He said she needed to know how to love her future husband so he was teaching her that he loved her and that she can pass it on to her future husband. This man was in his 60s. People like this just don’t see it as a crime and it’s just sickening.
@@Temuville cases like this is why I suffer from PTSD. Every case I worked that involved a child no matter what it was be it abuse, perversion or death is forever seared into my brain. No matter how hard I try those cases live in my head. I could be having a good day and something is shown on tv or RUclips etc that involves these things & brings it all back. Not just a case that’s similar but every case I ever worked w a child runs through my head. And it may take an entire day or sometimes 2 days to relive each one before I can move on. Then I get to thinking if I would have asked this question or that sooner I could have solved the case sooner. What could I have done better? If I had only listened to my gut feeling the first time etc I could have gotten the child away from the abusive parent/ guardian sooner or arrested the criminal sooner. Etc etc. I know these things did not happen to me but I was in charge of these cases and spoke on behalf of the children to get justice. Some people are very sick & twisted individuals and will try and convince you their actions were justified. Didn’t mean to ramble on. My apologies

I used to work in a tech department for a large retail store. An old man in his 60s brought in a harddrive for a data transfer to a new drive. The drive kept freezing so we had to move the folders directly. I stumbled upon a folder that didn't belong in the directory I was moving. When I opened it, it was filled with these awful images. I called the police and my manager. They set up a sting and had him come into the store. The police took him in for questions and then the state police took him back to his house and they search him. The police found over 8,000 files across 3 devices. I believe he was charged with 30counts, 10 counts on each device. I really hope he is locked up for life. My heart goes out to the family..

What steps can be taken to prevent this from happening again? - Locking someone up wont prevent it, it is only a reaction to something that has already happened. This is something I love to debate that, punishment should be used for rehabilitation, yet we as a society need to be taking steps to prevent these crimes from happening in the first time, but should not be relying on punishment being used to deter crime because if that worked, we would not have murders in states with the death penalty.

I truly think that the law being extremely excessive in any way, under the guise of preventing future crime, is bad. Like the movie Minority Report.
My main argument is this: when we start locking up child porn offenders for longer than actual predators, or even as long as actual predators, those people will decide instead of risking downloading child porn theyd rather abduct and molest children? Since either way they're getting basically life sentences.
Even if they're convicted on 1 count they'll be sex offenders for the rest of their lives.

I think the idea behind one count for each image is for retribution. Each image is presumably either a different person or the same person being abused in a different way, so it at least offers a level of justice and satisfaction even though the damage is done.

How do I know.. it started with me at age 5, ended with me once I decided at 13 the only way I could make it stop was by killing my abuser. I was so scared I hid hunting arrows in my bed frame so I could stab my offender if he came in my room again that night. After over powering me and beating me then having his way, him being drunk passed out. I attempted to choke h I’m to death with a wire I found. I pulled it so tight it cut my hands.. ( I have the scars as a reminder of that night) I stopped because I thought he was dead. I went to my neighbors home who was a family friend and her and her husband did drugs with the abuser and my mom.. they checked on him and realized he was still breathing. I was arrested at 13 for assault. Because my abuser was a fine man in the community.. and I was a troubled youth.. well how the hell is a troubled youth made? I thought I was the only one because of the drugs and because I was his daughter. He even tried to convince me he was Satan and I was the daughter of Satan and it was my job to give him a son my mother couldn’t. This was at age 8 . I was finally released at age 15 and they were divorced. I turned to drugs because I could forget. I could smile. Of course the rest of the family just knew I was trash because I was on drugs .. never why is she. Abuser remarried, stopped using drugs, started going to church. So I figured he is clean so it won’t happen again. I found out later it did with wife number 2’s 3 daughters and wife number 3’s daughter who blames me for not stopping him before he got to her. .. when nobody believes you how do you stop Satan? He was charming and had everyone fooled but Mom, and the first 6 months she was a part of the mess . Today I trust nobody, I don’t have relationships because I can’t stand to be touched. I do not use rugs because I enjoy being able to use my brain. I work 2 jobs so I don’t have time to think, because when I think the thoughts aren’t pleasant. I’ve tried therapy.. doesn’t work for me.. to late.
These guys can’t stop or change.. put a bullet between their eyes. If a dog harmed a child there wouldn’t be a thought about it.. how do these monsters get by with it?

I was so relieved to hear him say that they would be working with the Chinese authorities and that the Chinese dude would probably be extradited back to the United States, but I was also really surprised. I didn't expect the Chinese authorities to be willing to cooperate with the U.S. authorities and extradite one of their own back to our country, since they aren't exactly our allies. I'm happy that justice will be served to this guy though, and that he can't escape the consequences of his actions by going to China.

When I was a criminal investigator years ago I hated working sex crimes against children or even adults. . One in particular that I barley got through was an 8 yo girl that had been molested & raped multiple times over several years.
Found out it was her grandfather and he gladly admitted & confessed to these crimes.
His “reasoning “ was that he wanted to show his granddaughter what love was. He said she needed to know how to love her future husband so he was teaching her that he loved her and that she can pass it on to her future husband.
This man was in his 60s.
People like this just don’t see it as a crime and it’s just sickening.

@@Temuville cases like this is why I suffer from PTSD. Every case I worked that involved a child no matter what it was be it abuse, perversion or death is forever seared into my brain. No matter how hard I try those cases live in my head.
I could be having a good day and something is shown on tv or RUclips etc that involves these things & brings it all back. Not just a case that’s similar but every case I ever worked w a child runs through my head. And it may take an entire day or sometimes 2 days to relive each one before I can move on. Then I get to thinking if I would have asked this question or that sooner I could have solved the case sooner. What could I have done better? If I had only listened to my gut feeling the first time etc I could have gotten the child away from the abusive parent/ guardian sooner or arrested the criminal sooner. Etc etc.
I know these things did not happen to me but I was in charge of these cases and spoke on behalf of the children to get justice.
Some people are very sick & twisted individuals and will try and convince you their actions were justified.

I am with you brother. I too spent 41 years as a LEO working these cases is super hard on us. They stay with us forever. I know the feeling try to stay strong and don’t feel ashamed asking for help. I know it helped me. We have children and grandchildren that need us. It’s hard for others to understand what we go through but rest assured I along with other brothers and sisters know how you feel.
