But there was no weight accountability for the axe. There would be fatigue. Plus range of motion for the swing to actually penetrate the skull to the brain.
Also time to remove the axe from the zombies skull. If it gets stuck in one, you are gone.
I think the main thing to consider is the axe is too heavy of a weapon. The second thing to consider is the distance, cause the circle is small he has no opertunity to escape. You factor in a larger circle and allow him to move about, i think the odds increase@@FMFvideos
They did later redo this, and Adam had something installed onto the axe to let him know when he swung it with enough force.
I see your argument, and I'm not saying that wouldn't happen. However, in a zombie apocalypse your physically changes into a survival setting. Meaning as you become more conditioned to the world of zombies, you're becoming faster and stronger as a result. Your body then overtime adjusts to the exercise.
In other words, you'll get better and better at swinging an axe and hitting your mark.
Same can apply with a gun too.
The video ended. Wth
A gun is great for hordes and an axe is a great tool but it has the possibility of getting stuck
A gun is preferred until you run out of ammo. After that, a katana. You want to kill with one swing and not have to use another movement to withdraw and have the weapon ready.
Surprized the 2 Mythbusters didn't conclude the axe is a flawed weapon test, as it would be much heavier when made of steel, not foam.
Apart from a belt fed gun, Michone's samuri sword was the best non-shooting weapon, for she could slice & stab.
If I remember correctly, they acknowledge that and actually weigh down the axe in the full episode
You can tell he's never chopped wood in his life. Axes get stuck when lodged into something. At best, you might take out one or two zombies.
soft human flesh and wood are famously not the same thing.
@@chrisgenovese8188 I know you were trying to be clever and sound like a smart ass, but the period in my sentence denotes a new thought. I.e., he’s never chopped wood in his life, he’s was swinging the axe like a girl. Also, axes tend to lodge in things, so his test of jumping around like a 3 year old playing whack a mole was highly unscientific.
You have a point. But, it's all for fun anyways, so who cares?
Ruger 10-22 with 4x shotgun scope.
When There’s Zombies You Can Run But You Can’t Hide
Second part?
I never saw this episode! A very entertaining one!
The other myth (barricading against a horde) was entertaining as well
I'm gonna say the best weapon is a good escape route after all your other weapons fail...
Would have been fascinating to have seen this episode restricted to what guns would actually be on hand in the Bay Area with all of CA’s and local restrictions.
How many did Jamie get?
IIRC not as many, since he had to wait until they closed
Mythbusters VS Zombies
Whaho
277th🎉
Mr yo
Why would an actor be an expert on zombies? I mean what it like a doctor or something be better I guess I mean technically, no one would be an expert on zombies because they're not real.
