- Star interior designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent return to Architectural Digest to bring you inside of their townhouse in New York City. When planning a move east with their family from Los Angeles, Nate and Jeremiah needed a space where their children would feel secure but with the potential to incorporate their own inimitable styles. Through some novel renovations and familiar decor that has followed them across the country, their family has put down new roots from which to grow into the future.

I love the fact that they keep reusing there stuff from house to house and keep styling them in diferent way....its just show you that if you find good ithem (no matter the price) it can last you a lifetime 😊
@@ivanpoldrugac3510 yesss!!😫
They seem like the only designers that embrace personal artifacts as part of the finished design. There is no soul to a space if everything is off a store shelf.
I got tears in my eyes when Nate said the paintings were Fernando's and Oscar was named after him. I remember how devastating the 2004 tsunami was and feeling absolutely heart broken for Nate. I'm so glad he found Jeremiah.
I did too! They are sooo precious together!
Shows a neatly organized closet of folded sweaters...
Nate: “I can’t believe you’re actually showing everybody it’s a mess”
Jeremiah: “Yeah, you seem normal.”
😂 they are the cutest couple
I LOVE THEM!!!
This made me question their relationship.......
The wallpapers on their kids' bedrooms are wonderful.
Poppy has great taste in wallpaper. Both rooms are wonderful.
Are they DeGournay?

Such a beautiful tribute. I am ugly crying right now.
@Tika Nguyen If you love someone, you definitely can.
@Tika Nguyen It was Jeremiah's idea. They talked about it on their show on TLC.
Google: "how to get adopted by an adorable wealthy gay couple"
Google response: you are 33 bish. New plan
Lmao 😂😂 I'm 30 and I get the same response from google
Atleast Google keeping Up some morals
ha true
lol! Next best plan, How to be best friends with an adorable wealthy gay couple
🤣
As a working class guy with a passion for architecture, I simultaneously love/hate watching the videos on this channel because the extreme wealth and “flexing” that goes on can really bother me, especially in the “on the market” videos with the sales agents touring the multi-million dollar homes with 71,000 bedrooms and their own personal ice hockey rinks etc. But the look inside celebrities homes are much nicer because they’re usually all super lovely people that turn these houses into HOMES, the fact that they repurposed a lot of their existing furniture instead of dumping it and re buying a tonne more new stuff makes me happy because it shows more care for the environment and isn’t frivolous spenditure for the sake of it!
Why watch it , if you don’t like it
I mean its easy to turn a house into a home when you can spend 50 grand on de Gournay wallpaper for a little girls room lol.
What are you really trying to say?
Nothing you’ve said is really about the actual architecture
I agree with this sentiment 100%. I just came across the "on the market" videos prior to watching this and it felt so cold because I couldn't imagine a family growing in one of those estates. These, on the other hand, feel warm and inclusive. Seeing people spend lavishly on pieces they LOVE and repurpose is not only an inspiration to people like us, but it's also nice seeing how a real family can exist in what could otherwise feel like a museum.
This is my favourite of all the 3 homes they have showcased so far on AD. Jeremiah and Nate are seriously....couple goals, parent goals, design goals......of course we will never know the full truth of another's life but if everything is to be believed, their life with each other, their children, their home, their career, their fashion sense....is about as perfect as life can get
I feel like their homes combine warmth and how lived in it feels, yet they're very aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to look at. I also think, that their personalities brighten up the house even more
But how many refugees are they taking in in their homes?

@kbamm69 you make no sense, especially in your second comment.

Jeremiah you’re such a thoughtful person to allow Nate to carry on his dear friend in a tsunami into your life. Naming your son after him is such a life long friendship. You two are incredibly understanding to each other. What gift you both are to your children. GOOD HUSBANDS AND MOST RESPECTFUL DADS

@@WalterTonetto Are you for real? They're married to each other
You can really feel the love and warmth in that home. Life is short so they are really blessed to have each other.
Fernando wasn't just a friend.
Fernando was Nate's boyfriend.
I'm having anxieties looking at the glass railings above the sofa set, seems like a final destination moment
I am also having anxiety about getting books off those upper shelves with that glass railing being just at waist level. Otherwise I love, love this home.
the glass bridge makes me nervous.
I enjoyed when he said a safe place for kids. All I could think about was that glass
I know, I'm afraid the kids will walk up there!!!!!
The glass area freakes me out with small children in the home.
I’m so glad Nate is married with a family. I remember Nate after his boyfriend died, he looked like he went through hell. Literally.
Um, he did. He was in the tsunami too.
*Nate & Jeremiah's dad evolution on AD*
2015 - Pops that was awesome. You talked!
2018 - Poppy Go play in the traffic

I love Nate & Jeremiah, they are my most favorite HGTV personalities. Everything they design is gorgeous and most of all they care about the people they work with and the designs they create. There is no one else on TV who are as genuine and real as Nate & Jeremiah.
Hows he going to mention his kid took a sharpie to the whole ottoman and then NOT tell us the magical secret of how to remove it?
And not show us the outdoor space right behind them. Coolest part of owning a townhouse in NYC

The fact that Nate is holding onto memories of Fernando melted my heart!
Yeah! I was thinking about Fernando at the very beginning and to hear him mentioned with love, was heartwarming, REALLY!😘😍
🇨🇦 ya I loved that too! It must have been a horrible horrible time for them to go through something like that then to loose someone you love. I'm so grateful Nate found Jeremiah. They're absolutely the perfect, most sweetest couple ever.
🇨🇦 I really liked that Nate and Jeremiah have the piece of Fernando with them as well. I just could never imagine going through what they did! I'm so grateful that Nate found Jeremiah. Two children will love this home. Loving parents.
Nate y Jeremiah!!!
This is what I 100% want to see from a designer couple. Love it.
I love the fact that they both look at each other with so much love and respect whenever one of them speaks they just stare lovingly at each other and that's so sweet
Are they gay?
I was thinking the same thing while watching
Aqita Ran Yes,they are gay. Both sweet nice guys.
Lol why do people only talk about that stuff if people are gay? It's not a gay couple only thing. And it's not like gay people are unrepresented. Just look at all Hollywood movies now. They put homosexual people everywhere. And if you want Honosexuallity to be a norm then don't give them special treatment.

You literally risk your life trying to get a book from the upper shelves
NCT illichi umm a fall from the ladder ???
I'm sure they have a butler to help them to retrieve books.
There may be fake books up there

And the biggest question is "How the hell do they clean those bookshelves?"
cleaning crew. They prob have the correct tools and expertise needed to do it safely.
Nate loves to clean. Lol!
They don't do any cleaning 🚿 at all.. Its all out spending money
How do they even pick a book out of those bookshelves? The ones at the top would be so dangerous to grab given the fall just a few cm away and that sharp railing. Brrrr.
@@lsamoa I guess, you can tell how much they actually read these books🙈 Besides, they are colour coordinated and that's what really matters😂
I love them. They are probably one of my fave couples ever. Their parenting style is so chill and relax, almost reminds me of the 80s parents you grew up with that weren't overbearing. Their style is iconic and I wish them a blessed and healthy life filled with tons of joy.
Were you raised in the 80's. I was and many parents weren't chill@all.
@@TheLoveweaver Yes I was. I am an only child. My mom didn't have a tight rope on me and that's why I grew up to never want to disappoint her. I meant parents in the 80s had a different style of parenting than today's helicopter, overbearing, smothering parents.
@@brandymendoza1636 Ahhhh, well, my Mom was a helicopter parent, but the '80s were a different time. Kids did have more autonomy overall compared to now.
That style of parenting has nothing to do with time, trust me there were overbearing helicopter parents in the 80s!
"This is my investment portfolio" I'm crying with laughter.
Absolutely love this and their children's room. Such eclectic and chic taste.
They’re so in love and have such a beautiful house. I can only hope my future is like that.
I was about to ask how anyone has a designer home with kids, and then they started talking about their kid writing on the ottoman and I felt so much better 😂
You can see how much they love their children ❤
Jeremiah is really a good looking guy, Nate is really lucky to have a beautiful family, beautiful house, and a beautiful life. Best of wishes for both of them.

They are such a beautiful family! They radiate so much love and positivity. I wish them all the happiness, health and success in the world ❤️
@errorXIIIwhat is that even supposed to mean???
that glass flooring and railing scared me lol
I know, right!? I just kept thinking of their kids up there. I would have to have a baby gate, but that's not too design saavy!
lol alli couls think of was scary with kids
Megan Bond a baby gate for kids +6 and up?! I would be concerned about cleaning or getting to the top shelves that reached above the railing so one wrong step and it could create havoc since the railing is too low. But it looked gorgeous though! Safe for reaching the things higher up, not so much!
I am glad to see Nate so happy. When Oskar died he seemed to have lost his smile; but I see it so much now when he looks at Jeremiah and they talk about their work and family and its just awesome to see.
I can't get over how cute, beautiful, sweet this couple are. Seriously dream goals. The house, the men, the nursery and the clothes style are to die for.
The kids’ rooms are extraordinary!
I felt like I was in a real home. Ok it’s Nate’s and Jerimiah’s designs that make it perhaps a cut above but it still has a real home feel. I think it’s because they have adapted and repurposed things when for sure they very well could have just gone and bought new whatever they wanted. I love that they have collected things over time and throughout their travels. But the rooms I live the best are the children’s rooms. These rooms are steeped in love. What lucky children to have been adopted by these two gracious, loving young men. I hope their lives together are long and glorious.
I love their style! And it’s so special to see that the home is “alive” and meaningful to them. When they showed the kitchen I could feel how much good times they spend there! It’s heartwarming to see when a well designed space is joyfully inhabited. 😍
These two are just magical, I love their homes the most. The dynamic of their relationship is at the core of the home they have created. Home goal and relationship goals 😍
Love their vibe, their aesthetic. Hearing these two talk design always makes the day that much better.
This house is so warm n cozy. It feels like a real home. The way they interact at home is ridiculously beautiful.
I love them SO much! As a couple, as people, as dads. Everything.
Always loved Nate and now it is so nice to see him so happy with Jeremiah! They have created a warm and beautiful home full of love and meaning for their family!
I'm so glad that Nate found love again❤
Thank you for sharing✌💛☺
omg the day has finally come, its here! Nate and Jere freaking NYC townhouse tour!
Thank you!! For opening your doors to your uniquely gorgeous, knock out, warm and beautiful HOME!! I love how you have visually created each room, all with expert areas of focus, which has given me such inspiration to duplicate the same for my new home. I love how all the pieces in each room compliment and harmonize to each other's strength, character and beauty. When you walk in each room, you have visually created areas of focus, with such expertise that no one item grabs your eye and subsequently everything else is diminished. Instead, I'm immediately allowed to feast on the entire magnificence of the decor in front of me. And it is HEAVEN!
Can AD just have these 2 tour every house? this is gold.
Absolute beautiful. The amount design knowledge between the two of them incredible.

I knew Fernando and loved him. So awesome how you carry on his memory and J. is so cool about it. LOVE the pink wallpaper, omg. Lots of love.
LOVED this and love their relationship. Their LA home is one of my all time favorites but now the NYC home is amazing too. Perfect design duo. Just wanted to see the master bathroom!
It’s nice to see these guys finally design with colour- a departure from their usual Restoration Hardware/Pottery Barn monochromatic aesthetic that we see all the time on their show.
Beautiful home BUT that glass rail/short wall gives me major anxiety with small kids as they get big enough to do something dangerous. I wouldn't even want to get a book off those shelves. Love you guys . . . Keep your eyes on those kids❣
Absolutely beautiful home. Warm, inviting, thoughtful. Love Poppy' room and so touched by story of how Oskar got his name. Stay happy and creative!
This is an old video but one of my favorites. Watching Nate & Jeremiah just be… everything together is powerful.

Welcome back to our city! Your place is awesome. How wonderful that although it's a new townhouse for you, you bring your history with you to make it your "home". How touching your son is a living tribute to an artist that was lost way too soon.

Wow first 15 seconds in and I knew this was gonna be AMAZING! Hats off to Nate and Jeremiah your home is everything dreams are made of.
Finally! What I like so much is that they travel with the things that they love and repurpose them in new ways in new rooms. This is key to building a home that reflects ALL of your life, not just today.

OMG that wallpaper in their little boy's room. I love it soooooo much!!!!!
I love this! Modern & traditional mixed together, beautiful & upscale - but with a warm family atmosphere. They both have great taste too!
My brain literally cannot compute how they achieved this level of excellence. It short circuits when I think about it too much.

Great town-home. Love the comfort and feel. The bookcase with glass floor and rail is a nice touch. Good that you're not afraid of heights. For me, that master closet is the icing on the cake show stopper. I love the kitchen family area and the wallpaper in the kids room.
I have loved Nate from the first time I saw him on OPRAH's show. It broke my heart when his last partner was drowned in the tsunami and he was so devastated. I wondered if he would be able to get over it. When he introduced Jeremiah, I wasn't sure I could love him like Nate and would he be good for Nate. Happily, I have just literally fallen in love with Jeremiah! He has the most humble ways and their relationship is so open and adorable. So happy for you Nate and Jeremiah and pray that your life only continues to get better and better. Much love and best wishes to you both! P.S. Jeremiah: stop being sooo insecure about your designs! They are perfect, just like you!
I loved everything about this video. They have created yet another stylish home...not a design museum. The space exudes the warmth of their relationship and their history as a family. I've learned a lot from these talented, kind men.
Loved it -- what I loved most was how they repurposed items. A table from the kitchen moved to the master. A candy cabinet changed to store their son's clothing. I only wished they had shown where the TV is in the downstairs "TV room" off the kitchen.

Agree. I assume it was over the fireplace with a clever screen saver. Where’s the toy storage? Children’s bath?
They must have a separate office as well. Perhaps it’s still a work in progress.
