I am from Palermo and generally on the days of 14,15 and 16 August I do not go to the sea because there are too many people but I understand that for tourists it is different ... they are on vacation and that's okay. You are right when you say that the most relaxing summer months in Sicily are June, July and September. In these months the sea is more beautiful!
@@_jessienicole_ the air temperature here is never too cold but the sea water is a bit cold but if the days were hot during your holiday it could be that bathing is pleasant. I have never bathed in November but someone does it on a beautiful day.

If you want to go to a Sicilian beach *during ferragosto*… here are my picks 1. San Leone - not as many people and the sand won’t fry your feet (don’t know why) 2. Pay for a beach club seat at Cefalú or Mondello (sand gets piping hot) 3. Fontane Bianchi - near Syracuse, so def worth a visit. Cefalú is usually my go-to for June/July.
Every day new information, new culture, different customs and traditions, I really thank you for the cultural, tourist and definitely visual doses you always give us ❤️ Every day I learn something more beautiful from you, really you are the best .
My parents were both here for this holiday and they said it was crazy. I'm going in 2 weeks so hopefully it'll be nice and calm :) I havent been in such a long time, I'm so excited to see it again
I'm from Cefalù and usually I don't go to the beach on 14,15 and 16 August. I understand that for tourists it is different but there are really too many people. However i like your videos and i appreciate the fact that you like Cefalù but also all of Sicily.
If the line is long, I’ll give someone in the front of the line a couple bucks to grab me a water or soda. Works every time. Your videos are awesome!! 👍
Great video guys ' I never go to Cefalu in August ' I prefer May June or September but i suppose anytime it's good enough to visit beautiful Sicily 🤩 🇮🇹✌
I have just discovered your channel and I like your tours. You've got a new subscriber, I have done so after I also watched yours part 1 tour of Catania. Here, I don't think it's any different from other places in Europe. In August everywhere is crowded, that's when they all go on vacation. Thanks for this video.
I remember my relatives saying how cold the water was in September 2007 when i was in agrigento and we went to the beach...i told them, come to the westerly beaches in rhode island if you wanna see cold, this was like bath water to me!😂😂😂
Hi, I live in Cefalù and it's pretty fun to hear about my city from tourists like you... I mean, you visited it twice so you can explain it better than every other "one-week" tourists. As a resident, I hate this time of the year because of the traffic, the noise, the general caos and, especially in these troubling times, people whose not follow the rules, increasing infections and pollution. (I'm not pointing any finger on you or on foreigners, most of the time those people came from Italy or even from Sicily. In general, we try to escape from Cefalù towards the countryside. On the other hand, I know for sure that some people love this type of caos, for example this winter i was walking around my University campus in Palermo talking about Cefalù and one my colleagues sad: "aaw, I LOVE Cefalù, I love the summer caos, the streets full of people etc." At least the caos helps economy. I think that's enough complaint😂 You sad a couple of true thing and i really appreciate that: 1) Bathrooms My girlfriend this winter visited Austria and there the public bathrooms were almost better then the one she had at home. Here in Sicily they sucks. The situation slightly improves in stores and shopping centres, but there's room for improvement. 2) Coming before or after summer The whether is perfect (but sometimes it rains a bit or it could be a bit windy), everything is cheaper and moving is a lot easier! Hope you attract some good tourists like you in Cefalù and in Italy! Advice for visiting Cefalù and Sicily in general: 1) Live the adventure! Don't make too much plans, once you arrived, explore! Enter everywhere, try speaking italian, enter in the mood and live as we live everyday! 2) What about eating? Street food is the obvious choice, but, apart from being bad for your health if eaten everyday, it represent a little part of our menù. Try exploring restaurants on Google Maps. If you'd like to make a reservation you can use "The Fork" (I don't know if it's know outside of Italy); it also offers reviews, photos and some discount. In touristic areas many restaurant use it. Hope this was a bit helpful. BTW, what did you visited? Keep up the good work!
I am from India. I like Italy very much and want to visit sicily. I am vegetarian. Are there much options available for vegetarians in sicily (Italy) .
@@chowdharysaab1673 There are lots of vegetarian alternatives here in sicily, for example: "Brioche and Granita" for breakfast (Brioche and crushed ice with fruit taste, it's hard to explain in english); "Pasta alla norma" (it's pasta with tomato souce and fried eggplants); "Caponata" as side dish (it's a mixture of vegetables such as eggplants with tomato sauce, onion, capers, sugar and vinegar); "Pasta with Tenerumi" (Pasta with green vegetables); "Pane and Panelle" (it's a sandwich with panelle, that are made by chickpeas); "Cassata Siciliana" for dessert (it's a cake made out of ricotta and lots of sugar, but there is a more lightish one, the "Cassata Monacale") and many more. There are also the typical food made with meat, like the "Arancina", but now you can find a vegetarian alternative in the big "shops". Then, if you can eat fish (some vegetarians here actually do eat fish) you can eat almost everything
Does this last the whole month or is it just for the 14th through the 16th? I’m considering coming down with my boyfriend the very last week of August, on the 28th. I wonder if it will still be this crazy. It’s between Sicily, Puglia and Sardegna. any advice helps! 😊 Also, can you share about what temperature it was while you were there? Our other concern is the heat. We went to Sevilla last early September, it was so hot that it was almost unenjoyable (35 C).
