I'm doing a short ceremony and just dinner (buffet) with 40 people in a tiny forest lodge, i keep worrying its going to be disappointing and videos like this help so much. We'll have an after party gathering late that night in the country but its such a relief not to have to figure out dancing for two different cultures and pay for all the extras that comes with.
Love this video, we’re planning our small wedding now. Made me giggle when you said ‘not many people will want to drink at 11 in the morning’ that’s not the case in the UK 😂
Thank you so much! Congratulations 🙈 and hahaha oh I’m sure 😮 I mean, we definitely could’ve had mimosas or something but that’s just an extra cost we didn’t want to add on!
My fiancé and I are planning a brunch wedding and everyone we've talked to is warning us about the rush of getting ready in the morning. What was your getting ready schedule like and what time did your wedding take place? Thank you!
Oh, congratulations and how exciting! Brunch/morning weddings are my favorite. I will be honest... there is a level of stress in the getting ready period that is much more "stressful" than an evening wedding, but I kind of liked that! I prefer to not be waiting around all day like some of my friends have with their evening wedding! I wanted to get married as soon as possible. 🥳 I did my own makeup, so I got up around 5:30-6am and then drove 15 minutes to the venue and touched up/got into my dress to be ready by 10:15ish. Ceremony was at 10:30! I hope this helped.
What you described is exactly what we got in mind for our wedding. Thank you so much for sharing. You're God sent. Could you share a bit of how did your wedding timeline go? Like from beginning to set up, to end and tear down. Did you have a dance floor? Or what kind of entertainment did you go with?
Oh gosh, I’m so so glad!! 🤍 But yes! So we had a 10:30am wedding, which means that we had to get to the space around 8:30am to start shooting photos, set up ALL the decor (since they had a wedding the night before and we couldn’t set it up then) do my hair, etc. Since our wedding could only be a certain length due to our budget, we felt that having a dance floor wouldn’t really make sense and also we just didn’t want that feel for our wedding! For entertainment - we had a live trio play for our ceremony (that was really special) and then my husband’s old band speakers for our cocktail & reception music! Which was just hooked up to our iPhone with our wedding playlist I had made! The simpler, the better for us! 😋 hope that answered your questions!!!
This makes me feel so much better💜 my family wants a huge wedding but we have a toddler so it just doesn’t make sense to have a huge wedding when I know our baby girl won’t enjoy and ultimately we won’t enjoy. My friends talk about their huge weird they’re planted and sometimes it makes me feel bad.
*apologize for the very late response* but congratulations to you!!! I would've loved a little wine or champagne for an evening wedding, but I'm not sure my guests would've had much at 11am!
Sorry for just getting back to you now!!! We used real and we got it from our local Shop Rite I believe 👏🏼 it’s very inexpensive, which is why we chose to do that as a full centerpiece.
It’s so smart to save money wherever you can. Simplicity is where it’s at. ❤️❤️❤️
exactly! and that's not to say it's wrong to spend money on your wedding, but I do think it's important to use your money wisely!! 😊
My Sunday brunch wedding has max 40 people. So I really needed this video.
How did it turn out? I’m not doing this until June 2022, and I’m super nervous about the small wedding.
@@QueenBoftheQueenCity1 it was awesome!! I posted highlights on my channel, please check it out. 😘
So glad!!!

Did you use real or fake Italian Ruscus? Where did you purchase it from?
