Thank you for the video. One thing I noticed is that no one gives a thought to the wedding officiant, it doesn't matter about the venue cost or the number of people, it could be a million-dollar wedding the fact is that without the officiant there is no official wedding. The most important part of the event in whole is the wedding ceremony, the officiant plays a big role and has a lot of work, interviews families and friends has a one-on-one with the bride and the groom, there is a questionnaire that has to fill out so information could be gathered to be able to personalize a script that fits the couples life story. We also have to work with couples on different ceremonies styles, religious, non-religious, handfasting, humanist, and so on, we also have to work with the wedding planner and be able to fit the ceremony script into the timeline the wedding planner has created as well as working with the photographers. As you said about the photographer and the DJ we do the same job whether is 20 guests or 300 guests and if at the ceremony our script will make people cry and laugh then we did our job, but I guess we are just the officiants.
Great video! I had an intimate wedding in 2001, long before covid. I did it to have a more personal and intimate experience, as well as a cost saver. I can tell you, that just because it's a smaller wedding doesn't mean you have to miss out on having a rich and warm wedding experience. With covid, I think a micro appraoch is the only way to have the wedding of your dreams an stay safe.
This is great. We were thinking of a small or micro wedding because of budget. 1 - 2 yrs later having a large reception while playing the og nuptials. These tips have helped so thank you
I want to do a micro wedding because i dont have much budget and my boyfriend is foreigner. So only his parents can come. But i dont know how to do it. It will be very awkward because both our parents are quiet and there is language barrier between two family. And what i want is only to capture the moments of me wearing wedding dress and videos of our family laughing and enjoying the moments.
Your wedding can be as big or as small as you would like! Research photographers/videographers that specialize in journalistic style or candid photography/video. Don't worry so much about it being awkward, both your families will just be happy to be celebrating with you and witnessing your marriage.
I'm getting married in September and me and my partner are only having our children and our granddaughter there. Total of 12 of us. Getting married in a beautiful castle but not sure what to do for evening? Great video btw ❤
In a castle??? That sounds amazing!! Do you have the space for the evening as well? Sounds like a pretty epic place for an evening meal and sunset dance party, even with just 12 of you!
Covid bride here! We just got notice that we have to pivot our wedding to 25 people from 200. We are considering a micro wedding but will have to plan a new wedding in 3 months time.. since we are moving our reception to 2022 to celebrate our 1 year anni. Thoughts?
I'm planning on a wedding where the only attendees are the bridesmaids and the groomsmen but we broadcast the ceremony over Zoom. After, we want to go to a Taco shop and then spend the day at the beach. Is this an elopement? I feel guilty for not having a bunch of people there, but I really don't want the pressure of having to talk to so many people.
honestly, you can start as early as you want. I already started and I am not getting married until 2024. I think starting at least one year in advance is best so that you get first pick on all your vendors, if you wait too long to book they could be busy on your date
I’m currently attempting to plan a micro wedding abroad. It will be a symbolic ceremony. I love the idea of a wedding in the early hours in a public space (before it gets busy) but legally is this an option? Keep up the good advice :)
It really depends on where you're at and what kind of public space! You'll have to do some research and can usually find answers on the parks and recreation section of whatever county's website you're planning to have the event. Where I live, to have a ceremony somewhere public, like a park, for example, you just have to register for a special event permit (typically about $75-$100).
That’s not necessary true! Depending on how micro! You will loose money if you go from 50 to 15. Because you still have to pay for the same for the entertainment/make up/photography & videos/ and main decorations. For larger group of people you can set up different table arrangement for different groups which you can save money from that too.
@@Davrainbow really oh no. It’s because they won’t be making enough money from you. Yep this wedding business is sometimes very overrated. The more things/vendors you need the more money they can charge up unless you are going for more of a tailored lux wedding. For my wedding for 50 people in Phuket it was going to be 45000 aud and with now 20 people it’s 40000 aud. Not that much different coz the only factor was food and drinks.
1st time here . Planning my micro wedding even though I don't have a boyfriend.
Haha love to see it 😘
MOOD*
😂😂😂 imma bridesmaid
Hahaha
Me right now even though me and my bf is just 6 months in 🤣.
currently planning my micro wedding. we have roughly 40 guests just family. its both fun and stressful at times to plan it.
Currently planning a micro wedding in Italy. 40 people. It’s so fun bc you can do so much

So good!! I had a micro wedding during Covid and it was the best decision EVER!

I definitely agree, small weddings can be so so special!

How many photographers and videographers do you use?,and for how many hours?
Always a fan of simplicity... 😌

forgot to mention we will be getting married late Nov 2021!
using your reception to celebrate 1 year anniversary at the same time sounds like a wonderful idea! Good luck on your wedding next month ❤️
I have had tons of clients do this! Why not have an excuse to celebrate twice? :)

Absolutely an elopement! Don’t feel guilty, it’s YOUR wedding!
This sounds like a dream I wish I went this route for my wedding my 10 year is in a few and I’m definitely going this route
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do instead of a dance? Both me and my husband hate dancing but we want something more than just dinner...
I’m exactly the same. This issue is the thing stopping me from wanting to get married.
Our family doesn't really dance so we're looking at karaoke partly
How far ahead should I, could I start to plan. Should I use a planner.

It doesn’t matter how many guests it about who your marrying ❤
Not me over here planning a wedding 8 years into my relationship even though I have no ring and my bf doesn’t want a wedding at all 🙃😅
We can convince him 😏

I’ve found lots of venues won’t even consider me… I only have 20 people to invite.
