I think I’m going to have to end up doing this LED emblem, gloss black grille, and the sequential turn signals all in one go🤣 got my diffuser on last week
Ended up going straight to battery since rgb one had ability to control off an on from phone, so glad I got this it looks beautiful

Thinking of doing some things with it but I don’t want to void my warranty. lol this mod looks intriguing. Great vid man ! By any chance do you know if your emblem has a solid white because when I click white on the app it turns yellow
It should but haven’t tried it honestly.
Had the same problem while tapping into the pink wire due to it being such a small wire on factory plug I switch to the bigger red wire above the yellow and emblem is much brighter and white is actually white.

Hey speed so just to be clear your red wire (power) goes to you always on head light wire?
I don’t recall wire colors at this point but whatever I showed in the video is how it worked. I used a test light to find the wire with the constant power.
Hey speed. Thanks for all the videos. I have 2015 premium. I did all wiring same as yours to the always on module. My issue is when I switch headlights on the emblem comes on but then after a bit turns off. I flip headlight switch off and on and it comes on but goes off after a bit. Any ideas? I have went over and even re wired it to make sure and same.
Man! We tried doing this and behind the left wheel well, there's there washer fluid reservoir blocking the front sequentials on the bumper. And the right side... There's a buncha computer/electronic stuff blocking us from getting access to the right sequential bumper lights. 2018 RedSport. So I'm assuming it's all the sonar tech? Not sure what it is. Wired up the emblem differently due to that but we are thinking we may have to remove the bumper itself to get access to the bumper sequential lights smh!
Removing it completely definitely makes it easier

what size eyelet connector do i need? i installed it without that and it’s not working so i’m thinking if i use that it’ll help ground better
I don’t recall the size but it doesn’t have to be large

Just go grab some at autozone or oreillys .
I tried to remove this mounting bolt from the filter and the whole assembly is spinning so the bolt won’t come out, I tried holding it with some pliers but it’s hard to grip without shredding off the rubber, help!?😭 I really want this rgb on🔥
On the factory harness for the headlight, you said it the light pink OR light grey wire for power. Which one is it? I need the exact wire i need to tap into because idk if i want to do the always on module. Thanks for everything J!
It’m pretty sure it was light pink. I said light pink or grey because I wasn’t sure what the color actually was but I believe it’s pink.
Yo brother. Did your logo fit in snug? Mine didn’t. Had to use 3M tape to secure. I have a 2023 Q50. Is this supposed to happen? Idk if I ordered the wrong piece

What app did you end up using ? My box says the app he used but I can’t connect maybe it’s the new app you got
So i’ve had the app/emblem for awhile now. Was working fine the other night. But now there’s no lights that turn on. My connection to the battery is fine. The app even still finds the emblem. Just no lights come on. I’m not asking for help, just if the same thing is happening to anyone else? I’m on ios 15.4
I have not heard this issue. Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Yeah I did. Its just a shitty app. I have retrofitted headlights so i’ll just get my guy to wire the emblem into the control box that works with the headlights so they all do the same thing. At least then, I can junk this piece of crap app.

So if I use the red clip thing, all i have to do is put the red wire in and clamp down the middle part

That is what they aren’t meant to do, but they don’t always work perfectly

If it’s connected to your headlights, does that mean you can only have it on when your headlights are on? or can you turn the emblem on wheel the headlights are off ?
If it’s connected to your headlights it only gets power when your headlights get power.

It should do it automatically
So what do you do with the red cable( power) if your only doing the led emblem ?
What do you mean only doing the emblem? You just need to tap the headlight wire or fog light wire-whichever you want just keep in mind it will be on only when that specific light is on also
And the headlight one is the pink one?

Hey How's it going speed! I have a question, clearly we can see a power button on the top right of LED Lamp App when you open it but does it actually enable you to power on and off the RGB LED Emblem via the App? I would like to know this because I'm debating weather to tap into the headlight wire or drl wire to power Emblem. It would be very appreciated if you could help me out😁
I will have to check that.
I plugged the ground into one of the bolts and the power into one of the resistor boxes. And I'm able to turn it on and off via the LED LAMP app

Great video and I have a similar product. The app it runs on has given me nothing but trouble. I have a newer Galaxy. Reading app reviews more than half the ratings are 1 star for the same issues. Connectivity, deleting prior available devices for connection, ect... Are you personally having any issues or know of a better app to operate the device?
I have the black on black one from JD_Lights, pretty sure their source for these is the same vendor. I use the "LED Lamp" app that he's using in the video and it's been fine so far. BTW, I have a Galaxy S20+ Ultra so I can say pretty certainty that it's available and working for your phone, unless you have an ancient galaxy model, in which case your connectivity issues are probably due to an antiquated bluetoooth protocol conflicting with the emblem.

@@kielanvega4077 I don’t know what the headlight wires look like on a 2019 but if he’s a real mechanic he’ll see the headlight wires and can test them with a test light. It’s very simple. Just needs a power source and a ground. If he can’t figure it out, find a different mechanic!

Is there any way you can have it linked with the DRL? So it’s always on during the day and also at night when the headlights are on
Yes. You can tap any power source you want really. You can’t really see it during the day so I have mine come in with headlights

I just installed mine and the app opens for a few seconds and then crashes every time I try to choose a color or mode. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, forgetting it on bluetooth. reseting everything and nothing works. any advice?
That’s really all you can do. Keep trying it

I purchased the ring terminal 16-14 but the bolt doesn’t fit through the hole and I noticed that Is the same size you bought how did you do it?
Is it the correct ring? I believe it’s 1/4”. The 16-14 is the gauge of wire not the size of the ring.

One more questions the factory pink wire is a lot thinner than the always on module wire does the wire splicer need to be a specific size ?
@@ericestrada6449 you just have to make sure it makes a good connection with the harness wire.

No - not this generation anyway.
Where did you get your LED emblem from? Some people got sent the wrong one or a lemon.

Holding up well. Still looks new. The app is annoying sometimes, but I don't change colors often so it's not a big deal.
