    Looks nice, but still not a recommended procedure. Conc HCl cleans very well but it also starts corrosion as hell. Tiny amounts of acid or ferric salts will remain in the smallest cracks and pores and will start its destructive work. After some time a lot of rust will come back, eventually making everything worse than before. This is why rust removers usually work with phosphoric acid that converts the rust into insoluble ferric phosphates that rather give more protection.
