    #plated #carnepicada #steakranchero
    Ingredients:
    2 pounds carne picada
    4 large cloves garlic minced
1/4 cup jalapeño seeded and minced
    1 cup of onions chopped
7oz diced tomatoes (canned works fine)
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    2 teaspoons oregano
    3 teaspoons cumin
    1 tablespoon ancho Chile powder
    1 teaspoon coriander
    *tortillas
    *toppings of your choice
    Directions:
    1. Mix together carne picada, garlic, and dry seasonings
2 mix well to evenly coat. Cover and refrigerate for one hour minimum.
    3. In a large skillet, add 2 tablespoons of oil, jalapeño, onions, and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until the onions begin to soften. Add half of the meat mixture and cook over medium-high heat until browned on both sides. (If the skillet is to small set aside the first batch then cook the second half of the meat.)
    4. Add the cooked meat back tho the skillet and then turn the heat to low. Add drained tomatoes and simmer on low for about 5 minutes.
    5. Serve with warm tortillas and desired toppings.

Hey man quick question i see a lot of cooking channels using those single eye glass top cookers when it comes to cast iron skillets i know many worry about it damaging their actual glass top stove in the kitchen do you do this just because of presentation? Or because its better to scratch up the one you used in the video vs your actual stove

    • @plated4109
      @plated4109  3 года назад +1

Cast iron pans usually don't have a perfectly flat bottom, but rather have rough spots and burrs on the bottom. This can easily scratch the glass top, sometimes leaving behind deep scratches that can cause discoloration in the stove surface.
