  • Welcome to this yoga practice for eka pada koundinyasana 2. This class is part of the arm balance series, a series that is designed to help you build upper body strength, work towards challenging yoga poses and level up your practice.
In this class I take you through a flow to prepare your body and help ready you for epk2 and then I break down how to enter the pose so that if you are a beginner this challenging pose becomes more attainable.
I hope you enjoy this class.
    Love Charlie x

Love the confidence in declaring that the class will begin with an effective warmup that prepares the body for the peak pose because that was really the case. Wrist rolls to prep the wrists, hands turned back to stretch the forearms, hips opened, hamstrings stretched… utter perfection.

You are a continuous source of inspiration Charlie 😍 I love the way you build your class, from warm up to the cool down. I'm not at your level, I move my body intuitively, some Pilates, capoeira, animal flow and recently yoga and Qigong are the ingredients. But your instructions and progressions and tips are so helpful that I think I can improve my practice. Thank you sweetie 💕🙏🤍🦋

Thank you, it isn’t easy for me believe me, behind the scenes I’m out of breath and struggling but we keep going because it’s a practice, it doesn’t need to be perfect x

Amazing! And this, like epk1, I enter from downward dog. I find it much harder to enter it from lizard but I see how much more strength and flexibility it requires lizard way 😎

It is definitely harder because there isn't the momentum from down dog but I think that's why I prefer it. Practicing from a stationary position means you really have to work on your control.

Oh wow, okay so i didnt think that i would come this far, but i was able to lift both of my legs on both sides! It wasnt perfect, i couldnt really keep the front leg straight nor hold the pose for long, but i am very very glad! I was able to keep both legs straight on the right side for a bit, i am going to keep working! Thank you for bringing me this far and inspiring me so much Charlie 🩷

Loved this class! EPK2 is my favorite balancing pose and it's always fun to try new methods and techniques.

Yes definitely! I think it's mine too. It was one of the first arm balances I learned so I think I'll always have a soft spot for it.
