• Alton Brown Makes Waff... - Хобби
This is just a way to make the waffle iron a multi-tasker so it's allowed to stay in the kitchen.
A waffle iron is basically a panini press if you dont mind the shape it comes out as lol. I love mine and use it for everything
Actually, I've also used my waffle iron as a melt sandwich maker more times than I've used it to make waffles :D
i mean now you got a lot more crispy bits and now a nutella sandwich in a waffle iron will be 100x better
I was 16 before I discovered that it wasn't for making grilled cheese sandwiches.
Great for bacon btw
I love the way he broke down every component of the chicken soup to where it's easy to understand and substitute for things that we have. I've actually never heard it simplified in this way. I'd love for other cooks to simplify dishes like this
I'm familiar with Alton's work, or rather his celebrity; but this is the first dish I've actually watched him prepare. His command of the kitchen and ability elaborate on each part of the dish was just fantastic.
Alton Brown is a national treasure like his brother from another mother Adam Savage.
Where did the tolkin waffle guy go?
Who else as a kid drew inspiration from his show Good Eats
IDK, I was ready to cook for 1 hour, but 1 hour 10 seconds? Forget it.
I loved that Alton burned the first sandwich, Good to knoweven the pros eff up once in a while. We are all just human. ☺️
that’s just alton playing culinary possum, he has to mess up every now and then so the mortals don’t grow suspicious of his true power
Watch old Julia Child. She messed stuff up all the time and just rolled with it.
Hey I see you have written your name in japanese I think u used the Google translator it's not correct 😂😂
Togarashi in chicken soup? I never would have imagined that and now I need it.
Oh wait, they finally brought Alton on for worst cooks in America?? I gotta watch that season.
Thunderkrux I agree he should be scripted then edit it he can’t work without a cutscene
Bald Alton seams more arrogant than balding Alton. But still has a sense of humor and that seams to work. I wonder what he is like off camera.
I had the privilege of meeting him years ago, he is more casual and humble than on camera but has very much the same personality you see in good eats.
He seems like a douche, not even that impressive of a chef...
@@potatojazz7828 He never said he was a chef.
@@Matein13...are you an idiot? He went to culinary school...
@@potatojazz7828 no he didn't
I just want Alton to know that he is spewing wisdom, and, unrelately, he is very loved.
And the bachelor recipe:
2 EGGO WAFFLES
1 FOSTER FARMS BREAST PATTY
MRS. BUTTERWORTH MAPLE SYRUP
Toast waffles, nuke chicken & pour syrup
nuke the chicken? so I assume this sandwich comes with a free side of salmonella then?
@@prestontucker6579 not anymore
Rory Schweinfurter you’re doing gods work🙏
Maple Syrup? where was the sugar goop in Altons' recipe.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍 oh yeah.
Alton looks like he's going to Breaking Bad
Syamil Rosham breaking bad isn’t a place
@@pizzadoog k, going to break bad then
@@pizzadoog Living near Albuquerque, it might as well be a place.
WOW, Awesome video !👌
A chicken skin sandwich? I think I hear my cardiologist having an infarction.
Robert Rutkowski rubbed in extra fat drippings no less
Pretty sure that is a recipe for salmonella
@@jomsies Yeah, doubtful.

.....
you should learn how Bread is made then. i hope you're not one of the so many that are uneducated into thinking White Bread is poison somehow.
sure, i prefer myself a Rye with Caraway Seeds, but that doesn't make White Bread bad for you somehow.
@@xxdrowssapxx1 How? everything is cooked...
Alton Brown is a master of words and very good in the kitchen. He's always great to watch.
10 Peppercorns. Do you think I’m going to count them? NO! My life is too short
I really love this delicious waffled chicken sandwich recipe.
It goes to show you that with enough confidence you can cook anything. GO ALTON,
I love bald alton actually kinda makes him more handsome
seeing this makes me happy
it's the beard.
but he wasnt exactly rocking the world's best hairstyles beforehand.
I swear Alton is a wizard with making kitchen gadgets NOT be unitaskers. Respect!
"Now you can clap."
When Alton said "Chicken Skin Sandwich", I felt it in my soul. That's like God giving you a love tap on the shoulder and saying life is alright. I swear I heard birds chirping when I started watching this.Thank you!!!
This is awesome 😁
Alton Brown is seriously my favorite chef!
Alton is the man... Lovin this season of worst cooks.
Jeb: please clap
Alton: now you can clap
Wait. HOW did he remove that wishbone?? One second, it was a whole chicken, the next second, he had a wishbone in his hand. #wizard
Yea, i wish he'd have showed that part.
You find it and scrap the meat off of it with a knife. Once separated from the meat just yank it out
It's called editing.
@@JakeLovesSteak Yeah, that's why he was asking how was it removed, because the editing skipped that part.
He's the waffle iron chef! Also that was impressive to boot!
These AB cooking segments along with Anne’s cooking segments, are the only thing worth watching on worst cooks.
A chicken skin sandwich?!? I don’t know if that’s brilliant or insane.
Both. It’s both.
I will be trying this soon. Alton is the man
Damn he just tossed out all the dark meats.
this guys is Awesome!
I know that it's common practice to get rid of everything used to make the broth, but it makes me sad because there is still so much flavor in there. I usually smash it down until the meat is nearly all broken down.
He was a big proponent for not wasting anything, hence skin sandwiches, back when he did good eats. Everything is scripted and within a time frame now on food networks terrible reality cooking shows. He almost seems annoyed having to teach these guys how to make chicken soup
what are you eating?
skin sandwiches
uh
Alton: " nothing to see here...
Guy: proceeds to see
He was helping strain it
Alton is such a boss!
Alton is a culinary god. He’s the only reason I watch Food Network.
He's the only reason *to* watch Food Network.
Now that looks yummy
Hay I love you videos and your information ok cooking you are a god in the cooking world keep it up 👍👍👍👍👍 every thang you look dam good too.🤤
Alton has entertained me for years, but did this man just say to waste a whole chicken?
What waste? Anything of value was pulled out from the cooking, the rest is inedible mush.
I love him too. Smart and he knows what he's doing!
Watching this while eating Fried Chicken.
3/4 of a ounce of mushrooms. That’s one hell of a trip. 🍄
I wouldn't throw out the leftover stuff from the stock I would make croquettes out of that, shredded meat and softened vegetables from stock are the best stuff to have in a croquette.
That chicken was cooked within 5 minutes inside the pot or am i missing something?
Was wondering the same thing
What do you mean
It cooked 30 minutes once it came to temperature. It's edited for time.
@@nickjimbob2776 4:47 He took raw chicken breast and cooked it in the broth for just five minutes. That seemed way too short a time to cook chicken.
@@xurx2838 That was the chicken used to make the broth in the pressure cooker. It was discarded along with the rest of the solids. The chicken that went into the final dish was new and supposedly cooked in just five minutes.
That man really just made a waffle iron a non unitasker
I want the 16 minute version
Is there even anyone in the room? You can never tell with Elton. He’s always performing...
I used to fry chicken skins for schmaltz. I call it chicken butter.
Oh my.
I ❤️ Alton Brown‼️‼️‼️ That looks delicious 😋
I love this guy
Alton Brown is a Kitchen Wizard.
There's a lot of people on here who has never cooked a broth or seen a broth made in their entire life complain about the process of making a broth lol.
My only complaint is how much he wasted after making that... there was SOO MUCH CHICKEN MEAT that totally could have thrown in besides just the breast...
@@sdsmth1
in a way yes, but also in a way not so much - pressure cooking solid foods for a while sitting in liquids sucks pretty much all of the flavor out of it. that Chicken would be acceptable for nutrition but man, it would be hellllllllllllllllla bland.
if you thought Chicken had a fairly mild flavor in general, try pressure cooking it into a liquid for a while and then try eating some.
@@taiiat0 Blandness is fixable though... and I bet if you shredded it it would reabsorb the flavor of the broth, plus provide more substance. It just really irks me that when chefs teach people how to cook on TV it is often really wasteful... a lot of people can't afford to throw away essentially a whole chicken just to use its flavoring. Not to mention the food waste problem we have in America... I have no doubt that Alton is a great chef, but he hasn't has to think like a real American home cook in a long time
@@sdsmth1
from their perspective it's less of an issue to discard things since their waste goes to another use, so yeah they might be a bit out of context to the average person that 'throwing away' actually means that.
just like how they have their own private Farmer's Market in the building essentially - their availability is not quite the same as the average person but ingredient availability i think they generally keep into context of reality well enough.
When your high school science teacher enjoys cooking.
Yummy
Umm, waffled chicken skin sandwich. I am down for that.
Why throw away 75% of the food you used??
super tasty
Anyone else notice the bottle of Dukes Mayo chilling in the background? No? Just me? Ok
I counted 10 peppercorns in less time than it took him to say he wasn't going to count the peppercorns.
I would've kept the dark meat in there too
I know....such a waste
Using Duke's like a good southern boy.
bay leaves (Laurus nobilis) and eucalyptus (Eucalyptus spp.) are not in the same family. bay leaves are Lauraceae, while eucalyptus is in the Myrtaceae family.
I love Alton
I love alton❤️. Learn so much every time I watch him but.... that chicken skin sandwich is a heart attack in a wAffle iron. No sir
What happened to the Cutthroat Competition Show? Alton and Food Network Executive's, please bring the fun to watch show back.
I feel like he’s still cooking in the home hacks style of Good Eats
4:15 the title should be how to waste a ton of food
None of it is food coz they're just fiber, protein, fat, carbohydrates..... Totally not food.. get rid of it
@@jessric5947 what are u even talking about?
don't you find the soup to be wasteful of ingredients? he discarded everything he put in that stock. those things are still edible.
Couldn't agree more. This is rich people cooking.
Alton is vin diesel of cooking
Who doesn’t love Alton
Better than master class
Alton Brown's Anger Waffles.
I guess we're not gonna snitch on the celery then
How healthy are those chicken skin waffles sandwiches with mayonnaise?
I think they go on to the negative scale there. But thankfully that soup paired should be gucci
I have a feeling Alton Brown looks like Shawn Michaels
What happens to the big chunks of veggies and chicken cooked up front?
Used as stock, maybe stored for later, likely tossed.
I challenge you sir..to a Turkey pick. Boom...
Chicken breast cooked in 5 mins. I do not trust that 😂
No one noticed the first, burnt chicken skin sandwich that was on the tray and they cut around?
What happen to all the chicken and veggies that was first in the pressure cooker?
Trash or compost. Anything of value got pulled from the broth anyway, and any solids left is just flavorless mush.
@@Coboxite wrong. That chicken meat was still very good to eat.
Mmmmm chicken skin sandwich. LOL
imo
Good vid as usual.
Yes, the fat is schmaltz...and the skin is gribenes and it's yum.
At least it's gribenes when it's fried like bacon.
imo
"I know you think it's weird" look at what show you're on, they probably dont
Where does he get leeks without grit in them?
Did he throw away all that chicken in the stock?
Yes. No, it wasn't worth saving
anyone else notice the hair at 5:48
When alton said his life is short I thought, not as short as your temper😎
Going to be inviting the homies over for some S K I N S A N D W I C H E S
I love Alton but that sandwich sounds gross and I don't know if five minutes is enough time to cook a whole chicken breast
Sandwich sounds great, and a 5 minutes is plenty for a small breast.
chicken breast esp in a boiling hot liquid cooks very fast... plus crispy chicken skin is the best. Don't knock it until you try it
sad he didnt say that shmaltz is good eats
did i just watch this duud throw over half a bird away to make some shitty soup? XD
skill
The trashiest bread in the world. 👏🏼🐓🍵
You say that like it's a bad thing.
That background music is aggravating
Thank you. For some reason, so many people doing RUclips videos feel the need to overdub unnecessary "music." Alton doesn't need it to trick viewers into watching longer.
How tf is that done in 16 minutes?
He made mayonnaise sandwiches
Learning how to part a chicken or using a pressure cooker is not what I would teach people who want to learn how to cook
Why?
@@mr.cranberry2329 I think he meant in that rushed way. Slowly taken time to explain and teach how to do both sure, but a pressure cooker can explode and knives cut. These are people with little skill being told to just do it with no real explanation on how.
@@Wookie_oo7 well said. Julien, was just as rushed to give his or her(?) Opion without any kind of evidences or explanation. So I like to question people for answer but thank you anyway😁
