Actually, she did not short the marriage, she only did not buy it. To short it, she would have sold non refundable tickets (cheaper the the market rate with the travel agency) to her colleagues. And she never covered the bet. So when the people then to not want to travel, she has the profit. Otherwise, we would have to buy expensive tickets on the day of the wedding.
@@steffenbendel6031 actually, she would have bought travel insurance on all the guest’s tickets. Burry didn't sell the bonds. He bought insurance on them.

I love how this never copied a scene bit for bit (other than Burry searching on his computer which was incredible) and instead took the general vibe and structure of the movie and adjusted it to the new context. Loved the movie, it's probably my most watched of all time and this really made me appreciate how great this was!
I love how all these people appear in each other channel sketches and keep seeing them doing different characters. Keep them sketches comming, they're on point!
At first I didn't know what the hell was happening and then it made sense! I was oddly thinking about this movie the other day and how good of a job Steve Carrell did in a serious role.
To make things even weirder is that one of my coworkers the other day was talking about another coworker who would possibly have a destination wedding in Mexico... now we'll have to see if that actually happens 😂
