This actually happened to me in all seriousness when flew with Spirit airlines years ago! Cancelation and no food or drink in the midnight layover and then refused to give me a cookie or water because it wasn't purchased ignoring that I was victim of their bad planning. I really needed some sugar since I was close to fainting. I explained my situation and circumstances....no attention just a smile and empty promises. No sympathy. No attention.
If airlines could get away with making you pay for air, seatbelts, and bringing water in board, they absolutely would. I’m surprised they don’t make you pay to use the toilet
oh no, that was actually a thing businesses tried for about a minute. 1980-ish, quarter or more to use the restroom. we assumed it would make restrooms cleaner. but uhm, where the F do you get change in the middle of the night? also didnt improve much. also, people with "medical issues" just decided not to use those businesses.

As an Airline First Officer, myself. I actually found Spirit too troublesome and flew American when I couldn’t use my travel benefits since the planes were always overbooked to maximize profits. It also seemed that once you added all the fees up, American and Southwest were priced competitively every time.
I flew Spirit Airlines once… ONCE. Thought I was saving the company money. Wound up not only being about the same, but my seat literally was just cardboard with pleather. My tailbone STILL hurts and it was 8 years ago.
I cancelled a trip with Spirit a few days after making it. I knew there would be a penalty/fee/whatever. The fare was originally $118. When they took out the fees, they were listed as "Cancellation fee - $35" and (believe it or not) "Government's Part - $48." I now have a $35 credit that has to be used by lunchtime tomorrow.
Between Nikki and Stevie, the quality of the acting and writing multiplied by the volume of segments is becoming an overwhelming number. Your starring and supporting cast are very attractive. The sets and production values are better every year. Your fans have a lot of questions. 1. Where does this great body of work take you all? 2. When do you sleep?
Wow! Reminds of way back in the beginning of Deregulation the late great Pan Am had a fare of 99.00 one way to the West coast and you could fly back for a mere Penny! Other Airlines soon followed suit and the Ala Carte pricing system raised it's ugly head! So, a 50.00 Round Trip Base fare from NY to LAX became a lot more expensive like this: *Base Fare-50,00 *Fed Tax-. 5.00 *Fuel Schg-. 25.00 *PAX Svc-. 35.00 *Airport MX-. 15.00 *Meal Waver-10.00 *IATA Fees-. 50.00 *Dest Fees-. 35.00 *Admin Fees-. 10.00 So, your great fare be now totals 235.00 Round-trip!
