You really illustrate how far you have to bend to hit the note in pitch. It's easy to fall short because of the distance you have to bend. The great Gary Hoey on a recent guitar magazine Tip Sheet said this: "Try to bend a whole step not looking at the tuner. Once you think you've done it look at the tuner and see if you're in tune. I started doing this and I found I was flat quite often. Too fix that problem I decided to bend a little higher and use my ear. After awhile I noticed I was right on the money." So I figured if this happened to him, sure enough- I wasn't bending far enough and falling flat as well.
I really enjoyed your demonstration of moving the unison bends especially how Hendrix used it on Watchtower. Thanks, Suke, an excellent lesson!!

Using a tuner to bend can be pretty deceiving, like you said, you really need to just listen to it, like all our heroes do

Great stuff! I really like how you demonstrate the delightfully raunchy interplay between the two sound waves not at unison, but within punching range of one another.
I also appreciate your use of the word: "Gratuitous" 👍

I used to think bending just sweetened a note, but once I realized what was really happening.... Haha punching range, thats great

Your lessons have really helped me. In most locations I’m getting better at unison bends, but dang, from the B position moving towards the neck, it’s starting to be a decent stretch using my third finger for the bend. Would you suggest to just keep working it with that finger and it’ll get more accustomed to that stretch?

I almost always (always) use my third and first to do unison bends. Even down on the first fret. I need the pinky for double stop bends
