I wanted to say this is one of my favorite songs by Randy, but how the hell can you have just one? I don't really listen to country music that much anymore but Randy is one of my favorite music artists when it comes to country music. I still know just about all the words to all my favorites even after years of not hearing or listening to his songs or music. I use to have CDs, cassettes, etc but after a while you get tired of losing them. In any case I love your music Randy =o)

The first time my husband & I traveled together as a couple when we were dating we found ourselves in a small cafe in the middle of nowhere. The cafe had a jukebox. I went over and this song was on there. Put my money in and played this song for my then boyfriend. I sang it to him under the glare of the fluorescent lights as we drank our bad coffee. This October we're celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.

Nobody stays together anymore. My 82 yr old grandpa died last month. They took their vows serious. Married and died with his one and only at home.

This is my parents' song! Their first date was a Randy Travis concert in 1988 - the story goes it was supposed to be a whole group of their college friends, but one by one most of them had to back out. Finally my mom admitted to my dad she would like to go anyway, just the two of them. They'll be having their 32nd anniversary in August!

My husband of 48 years died this year. His ashes were scattered in the Chesapeake Bay and our celebration of his life ended at the firepit on the beach on the Rappahanock River July 4th with this song. Thank you Randy Travis.
My wife left me 8 days ago. And I deserved the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. Because I took her for granted and let petty things come between us. She was over and done. But I just talked to her for hours on the phone and sent her this song and we remembered our most precious memories in the last 18 years and I felt hope out of nowhere in our love and then the closest thing to pure joy short of the Holy Spirit. May God forgive and hear my prayer and restore my family. Either way.. I will love and trust in him with all my heart to direct my footsteps and walk in his grace.

This used to be my grandpas favorite song and he used to listen to it on repeat all day long, sadly the last time he played it was on his deathbed fighting liver and lung cancer in august of 2017. I’ve now took his job of listening to it and showing the family how many memories it truly holds for us and to show how much we’ve grown.
This made me cry I lost my daddy in 2009 to lung cancer for some reason which I can’t remember I was 5 when he passed this song reminds me off him and seeing your comment has brought so many memories of my father and grandfathers, I hope your okay ❤

I get so emotional listening to this song. I had a good man and three children. God has now called my Sweetheart, both of my daughters, my Mother, my Father and all of my siblings home except one.
