I was 10 years old when this song first hit the airwaves. I wasn’t old enough to really relate to the lyrics, but I knew instantly that this was one of the greatest singers of all-time.
My first taste of Randy Travis, 1987 in Ireland. A Saturday morning listening to the local radio playing country. Still listening in 2020. That's the effect he had. :)

It's hard for me to listen because my mom's side of the family were very musical and they are gone now. However, I love it and there is nothing better😊
I listened to this song when I was in a relationship and I always thought "thank God this will never apply to me." Now she ended it and I read and re-read every sweet loving text we ever sent, grasp the bracelet she returned that was supposed to represent the strength of our relationship, and I cry, torturing myself but unable to stop. ... I hate life.

I listened to this song in my attic playroom as a child and I thought this will never be me. Yeah... 20yrs later and 2yrs after breaking up with my first love this is me everyday. I miss him cause he was my best friend when we were too young to really understand what love is. However, I know we weren't meant to be but it still hurts and thinking about those memories truly is like diggin' up bones.

Randy Travis sent me a 5x7 picture of him on my birthday when I was little n for a few years after on my birthday I always received something from him! I was his #1 fan and walked his songs thru my life if it wasn't for country singers like Randy Travis Garth Brookes Dolly Part on and others helping me get thru life with their real music I probably would of had died especially after my liver failed n I refused a transplant their songs brought me courage and hope to my fight for life!
