Mikey you are the best. The tone when you explain a pattern makes it easier to follow. I love your laugh, keep making the videos you are a great teacher ❤
What an utterly superb teacher you are 😊 I’m new to crochet, and have never made anything wearable. I’m inspired by your tutorial to have a try at this cardigan. Thank you x
Just want to say thank you in all you do in making these videos. I appreciate the break down of the color rounds of each sweater it made crocheting the project so much easier
I love this cardigan and video. Thank you so much, Mikey. I know some crochet and I appreciate the time and support the pattern and your video provide. I'm excited to do this project.
Absolutely amazing!! I absolutely love the way you teach, I am a beginner and you make it seem so easy and I love it😊 thank you so much and please continue to make me a better crocheter with your beautiful teachings,😊
Thank you for this pattern Mikey - I've done one in the fuzzy Red Heart yarn but never finished it - prolly destined to Frog City! Today I received a big bag of 10 skeins of the same color with that little stellina in it - perfect for the holidays - so that's what I'm using - your timing was perfection! xo
Yo the slip stitching over the chains to get to the corner is brilliant. I was literally chaining 3, yarn over and then beginning the corner with the 3 DCs chain 3 3DCs and so on and so forth
Thank you sooo much Mikey. I still can't read patterns (even though I try very hard 😢) I really appreciate this tutorial. I'm going to make one for my mom. She will love it. Thanks again!!
Tried this with Barnett perfect phasing yarn, yes it is very heavy and very warm. Saw your video when almost done so it is not exactly the same, I still like it!
It’s easier to start your corner with a ch 3 and 2 dc’s then work around and end the round with 3 dc’s in the corner and close in the top of the ch 3 with a hdc. No slip stitches at all 👏👏👏
Mikey, you must be drinking your tea, because you certainly seem to have your mojo back! Thank you for this. I tried making one of these once, but when it got floppy and ruffled, Inthought I was doing it wrong! 😅
Did you get cut off? This vid ended kinda weird, not like you usually end them. Haven't had a chance to look at the pattern yet but is there no trim edge around the front openings and the neck? Love the colors you used.
Hi Mikey! I was wondering, can this cardigan be made with 3 weight yarn? Also, is there a tutorial on how to make tapered sleeves and perhaps a hood? Thank you in advance for the fantastic pattern this is fantastic that the sizes are bigger for curvy people like myself! I love you for that!! 🥰
How do we all feel about using a standing double crochet instead of chair three to start rounds in this pattern? Is it worth it? or is the pattern loose enough where it doesn't really matter?
Hi, I'm confused. At 17:52 I think you said the measurement (across the top) for the XS-S should be 10 1/2". But looking at the diagram on bottom of Page 12, it appears that you were talking about the "center back to side" measurement, which woud make the entire piece much bigger. Your top measurement looks much bigger than 10.5" and I think you said you were using the small as a template. Unfortunately, I'm using DK so I have to go by measurements. TIA.
For the XL/2/3XL, the pattern says to repeat hexagon round (5) more time after the initial 3 which would equal 8 rounds…?. Your quick reference sheet says 7 rounds for that size for color A. The number of rounds total on your sheet add up to 20 but say 21. Sorry new to this so want to make sure I’m understanding
Also, after looking at the row counts, the largest size should be Color A 8 rows, Color B 5 rows, Color C 5 rows, and Color D 6 rows. This adds up to 24 rows.
The top throughly confuses me. It seems line it would hurt your neck if you join across the whole top. Has anyone worn one of these? Is it comfortable?
A lot of ink. Not affordable to print. Guess if you work in a office or self employed for ink write offs. Is there just written pattern for the experienced.

I’m 85 years old and you are never too old to learn you always come up with something new even after all these years of crocheting 🥰
I’ll be 79 in a week and have learned so much in the last couple years from these “kids” ❤
At 76 years old, it is inspiring to know that I have many years of learning ahead of me 😊
Tip - If you decrease two sts on both sides of the center stitch of the arm side, every other row, you end up with a tapered sleeve.
Thanks, I really want to make this but I don't like the huge sleeves!
@@DebC313me too!
So if I wanted a tapered arm I should of started at round 2 of the pink????
Thank you!!! I love this, think I'd be ok with it as my first sweater but hate the sleeves
I still can't figure out the decrease I'm so sorry to bother you
Mikey you are the best. The tone when you explain a pattern makes it easier to follow. I love your laugh, keep making the videos you are a great teacher ❤
I made one last winter and my kid took it before I was finished with it....I'm making another one!!
This is, by far, the best video for beginners. No distracting music, no funky nails, jewelry or tats. I can’t thank you enough sir.
What an utterly superb teacher you are 😊 I’m new to crochet, and have never made anything wearable. I’m inspired by your tutorial to have a try at this cardigan. Thank you x

I am so happy that we now have this pattern. I tried making this on my own but ended putting it up. Your pattern makes sense. Thanks Mikey
I love this cardigan and video. Thank you so much, Mikey. I know some crochet and I appreciate the time and support the pattern and your video provide. I'm excited to do this project.
Your video is super helpful. I can’t thank you enough
Thanks, Mikey. I taught myself how to read a pattern years ago when I was 20. I love this pattern. Thanks again. ❤
Thank you ❤. You are a very good Teacher, an inspiration to many.
This is SOOO much easier than some tutorials I’ve watched! Thanks so much! ❤❤❤❤❤
Very well made video, instructions were clear and you explained everything, before this video I struggled with beginning, hopefully I got it. Thx.

Been viewing your video for a long time. Patterns are always easy to follow and nice items. Thank you.

Best tutorial I have ever seen
Love the yarnspirations patterns.
Can hardly wait to make one for myself.

Thank you Mikey for such a great tutorial. Very informative and very helpful and clearly explained. Much love to you always ❤❤
Thank you for the detailed instructions. I’m new to crochet.
Thank you sooo much Mikey. I still can't read patterns (even though I try very hard 😢) I really appreciate this tutorial. I'm going to make one for my mom. She will love it. Thanks again!!
I can read them but prefer diagrams or videos.
Thanks Mikey for a great video and showing how to assemble the hex’s into a sweater.
Tried this with Barnett perfect phasing yarn, yes it is very heavy and very warm. Saw your video when almost done so it is not exactly the same, I still like it!
I've been looking at these cardigan patterns so yay! Happy to see this video. Thank you!
Just what I was looking for! I can't wait to start...after I finish my present project
This was awesome ! Thank you ,your a great teacher . thank you have a great day
Love love this ! I'm gonna give myself a try on this one!!

Thanks Mikey for another great tutorial. I wanted thank you are such a great teacher, I appreciate you.🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🌻🎃🌻🎃🌻🎃
Mikey you're always good thank you 😊

I might be able to figure out and finish one. I have a smart tv now so tutorials are big enough to see. 😂🎉

*til the cows come home* 🧶😍TY Mikey 🤗❤️
❤Just love this!
Great detail
Thanks good video
Thank you for sharing 😊

🥰
Is it possible to crochet a cuff on the sleeves?
Very interesting!
If you flip the hex after each round the slip stitches across to get into the space wouldn’t be needed but would it still all work out?
❤ Thank you Mikey
Is there a pattern for this cardigan with granny square inserts in the back seam?
How do we all feel about using a standing double crochet instead of chair three to start rounds in this pattern? Is it worth it? or is the pattern loose enough where it doesn't really matter?
Fantastic!!!
I would like to try this as my first cardigan. If I let the colors flow from Caron cakes, do you think that would look okay?
Hi, I'm confused. At 17:52 I think you said the measurement (across the top) for the XS-S should be 10 1/2". I literally just found this and saw the exact exact same thing and now I’m really confused
Nice 🥰 but how do you down size the sleeve opening?
Sehr gut erklärt also wird das ganze teil bis zur richtigen größe 6 eckig gehäkelt ?❤danke😊
Does anyone have a link they could share that shows how to decrease?
i use a 4mm do i have to add more rows or not?
What size hook did you use?

How many times did you end up going around 7 or 8?
Beautifulvv
Do you have to use bernat yarn or any #4 weight
Any #4.
Is there a part 2???
No, not for this one.
Why is it sometimes the middle comes undone ?
How do you make sure it doesn’t come out?
Yes I’ve made knots to keep it together but it still comes out
You have to ensure you secure the centre with a tapestry needle just in case this is your issue.
Mikey is this unisex?
Phone cord, hah! I knew exactly what you meant
Can I use a cotton yarn to make this cardigan?
Yes, just match the gauge for correct sizing.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you!
How do l get a copy of the pattern
The link is provided in the pinned comment :) Happy Stitching
@wendylcm7643 Thank you Wendy.😊
Did you miss count how many rows we need for 4x 5x
Just review the pattern that's linked in the video description to be sure.
Help please, making this cardigan in the largest size. I am counting only
21 rows, when total should be 24. What am I doing wrong?
Do 3 more rows. This is very customizable. Easy to increase, decrese, make longer etc. Have fun!
Also, after looking at the row counts, the largest size should be Color A 8 rows, Color B 5 rows, Color C 5 rows, and Color D 6 rows. This adds up to 24 rows.
Thank you
WHY NO NECK OPENING?
The top throughly confuses me. It seems line it would hurt your neck if you join across the whole top. Has anyone worn one of these? Is it comfortable?
Yes! I was skeptical at first but was told trust the process. There is plenty of room and does not bind at the neck.
Throw your hook on the floor 😂😂

Print the pages you need and forget about the ones you don't. So when it says print page you might say 1-2,4-6 or something like that
