Doing this won't give you even ONE HP. EGR only works during part throttle light load cruising to help clean up NOx emissions but since its an "emissions device " people think it robs power. They confuse it with air injection which usually has an air pump which actually does draw power. This, coupled with the low compression and mild cams used in the early days of the smog era, bolstered this incorrect opinion that simply removing emissions devices will gain power. This isnt like deleting a catalytic converter, which allows more exhaust flow. (But you still wont gain any power from that unless you tune for it). You will only gain power if you get more fuel and air inside the engine, which means modifications (to head and cam) that would render the emissions controls useless anyway. It does look way cleaner without all the plumbing though.
@@heruhadianmudjenan7126 Probably the best bang for your buck would be just a swap in a KA 24E or DE (D21 or D22 KA) Stock they make about 30 to 50 hp more than the Z 24 motor does and they have all kinds of aftermarket support. Unlike z24 engine. As a bonus, the KA is a lot less susceptible to head gasket failures. As long as you aren't driving a 4 x 4 720 is not very hard to swap them in either. You don't even need to change the transmission. It will bolt up. 720s already have an electric fuel pump. You just have to put a better pump in for EFI. Otherwise just leave it alone. You would have to sink so much money into an L series or a Z series motor to just get to what a stock KA makes (the KA head is so much better!) and thats before you add boost! Trying to get power out of the Z24 motor when its so easy to bolt in the Ka is like sticking with a L03 305 motor when you can easily bolt in the LS... If its that important to keep it looking stock just be happy with what the stock motor puts out (only my opinion:)
Thank you for your very detailed video. Can you please do one on the transport case and how it works. I meant transfer case for the 4 x 4.
You got link for header thanks for the video

Thats crazy because i didnt cut the egr tube, i did the firewall but i was able to take it off with the whole exaust manifold
You also block the pcv valve?
Where did you get the air filter
It's a whole carbarator kit - amzn.to/4cxhxcj
@@TheAngryHoneyBadger Are you running off the original fuel pump?
Yes@@Joefred77
@@TheAngryHoneyBadger thank you I’m ordering that Weber carb I’m just going to do everything you did,
So deleting EGR valve can get horse power?

@@twoeightythreez i see..maybe ITS better just use carburater and mod head and cams
